Selous NP January 2020
5/5

We visited Selous NP in January 2020. We stayed at Mloka Lodge a new opening lodge close to Selous and Mloka Village.
It was an amazing experience of the original Africa.
The park was unforgettable we saw all the animals of Africa in their natural habitat.
Also the lodge is new and the staff are very friendly everything clean and good food.
We also visited Mloka Village with the autentic style life of an African Village.
Thanks again Obag.
We will be back soon.

Amazing experience!
5/5

Safari tour was great, we have really enjoyed it! Accommodation and food provided have exceeded the expectations, Mloka lodge was a hidden gem in the nature. Staff was friendly and always around, willing to help. Rooms were big, clean and very comfortable. Communication was smooth, everything can be agreed on and arranged, depending on the preferences. Game viewing lasted for about 10 hours, we have seen plenty of animals. The driver is an expert, which is important considering the roads. Highly recommended tour with a great service!

The tour was great with a very friendly guide and driver, the accommodation was outstanding
5/5

The communication was great, always replied to our questions. The driver was good and even helped us spot animals on the safari while driving, the guide was easy going and replied to any of our questions.

The accommodation should be displayed as premium, we did no expect to arrive to: a toilet inside the room, bottle of water to brush your teeth, soap and clean towels provided, amazing food and cheff, a lounge to chill and take beers/drinks. Pictures of the accommodation and food should be displayed as it was way more than we expected given the surroundings

Mikumi safari
5/5

To get to Mikumi takes whole day from Dar Es by car. So first day we drove to Mikumi and second day we had day-trip in the park. Our guide Obeg was well organised and everything went as planned. Also it is important to understand that you are in Africa and change of plans, time etc is normal - Hakuna Matata. We saw lot of animals and seeing them all close in their natural environment is definitely an experience. Obeg organized our whole journey - by picking us from Dar Es AirPort and taking back to Dar Es - that made our whole trip rather smooth and hassle free.

It was an amazing experience and we are lucky that we met a really kindly tour operator!

If you are planning to go to Tanzania, I definitely recommend that you choose Obag African Safaris.

From the moment you are picked up and dropped off after 3 days it is an incredibly well organized safari. All your wishes are taken into account. You are literally the boss of your own trip and you have 2 new friends who are helping you with everything. It is worth it and the price/quality ratio is also perfect. The accomodation where you will stay is clean and well organized. I could go on for a long time, but you have to go and experience it.

In short, thank you Obed. It was amazing and see you soon!

Great experience!
5/5

As my previous comment got half lost, I would like to add that guys from that tour company were really nice and friendly and always on time which we highly appreciated. The way from Dar es Salaam was long but funny and they took good care of us offering water, soft drinks and snacks all the way. We had 3 days safari starting with river safari, next full day safari in Nyerere national park and on last day they took us back to the port so we could continue our vacation. I must say that due to the rainy weather, the driving itself was an experience, but our driver was very skilled on those roads and we felt always safe. I can highly recommend Obag African Safaris- it's the best you can find!

Authentic, positive, knowledgeable and fun!
5/5

You will spend a lot of time with your guide so choose wisely. I'm so glad I did!! Obed and his team were amazing. I was super excited to go on the Safari even before I met them. Communication was super easy via WhatsApp, I was able to pay in advance using Wise (it's super convenient instead of paying cash and it's easy to use). I knew I could trust them because I saw only good reviews about them (I did a very thorough research online before choosing). I also made sure to know what was included before I paid. Obed came to pick us up at our hotel in Dar es Salaam, and he was on time (even in advance). We were introduced to our driver (Alphonse) and started to drive towards Mikumi. It's a 6-7 hours drive, so be ready, of course you can stop anytime if needed, but Obed and Alphonse knew the best spots to stop for bathroom and lunch/snacks. They also told us so much about Tanzania, the culture, their villages, the different tribes and way of life. It was amazing to learn so much. The landscape on the way is so beautiful, I'm so glad I could see all of that (and not only the city and Zanzibar). The mainland's country is definitely the best part of Tanzania. Then we arrived in Mikumi park, and right away from the highway, we were able to see Giraffes, Impalas, Baboons, Wild beasts, Elephants and more! I couldn't believe we were not even in the park yet and could see them!!
Obed and Alphonse are definitely pros, as they could see the animals very fast even from far away! I was very impressed. We then arrived to our lodge, OMG IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!! The food was excellent, the staff super amazing, we had a pool, and it was not crowded at all. It was paradise! We didn't want to go back to the city ever lol we had dinner with Obed, and start talking about our plans for the safari the next day, also chat about life in Tanzania. We woke up early the next day to have breakfast and start our safari trip (game drive). We got on the highway and then BAM!!!!!! A lioness on the highway, hunting an Impala! WOW!! I just couldn't believe it. Then we saw tons of giraffes, and finally arrived to the park gate. We had to fill out some quick form, and started the game drive. It was totally magical. Obed and Alphonse knew exactly where to find the animals, we saw EVERYTHING, and saw them very close! We even saw a young leopard, tons of zebras, elephants (we almost could touch them but of course DONT!), we saw lions 3 times, hippos, monkeys, impalas in the thousands, and so much much much more. I just didn't want to leave, but we were so blessed and we saw everything! After the game drive we went back to the lodge to relax and eat. Then we headed back to Dar es Salaam on day 3. On the way back we stopped a couple of times to drink coconut water, buy some veggies and fruits. It was super cool. We were so sad to leave Obed and Alphonse, but we really hope to see them again very soon as this will not be our last trip with them! Thanks again to Obag African Safari for such an amazing adventure! Thanks Obed!

It was amazing, we have seen most of the animals described on the quotation. The tour started on time and we were also back on time, as a bonus the operators made us visit one of the local restaurants
