An amazing ambassador of the Ugandan country and it’s people!
5/5

Our recent trip to Uganda was an adventure of a lifetime! From trekking to see the golden-backed monkeys in Volcanoes National Park, to the awe-inspiring experience of coming face to face with gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, every moment was filled with wonder. We also spent a serene day at Lake Bunyonyi, soaking in the breathtaking beauty of the surroundings.

A big part of what made this trip so special was the exceptional service provided by Kaara Adventures. They went above and beyond to customize our itinerary to meet our specific requests. Their responsiveness throughout the planning process and during the trip itself was impressive.

Our driver, Gerald, deserves a special mention. He was not just a driver, but a guide, storyteller, and a true ambassador of Ugandan culture. His knowledge of the country, its history, and the rich diversity of its people was invaluable. On top of that, his incredible sense of humor kept us laughing throughout the trip. By the end of our journey, we truly felt like part of his extended family.

For anyone considering a similar trip, a helpful tip is to bring American dollars in small denominations for tipping and purchases. Many places, especially in rural areas, don’t accept credit cards, so cash is essential.

Overall, this was an unforgettable experience, and we highly recommend Kaara Adventures to anyone looking for an immersive and personalized Ugandan adventure!

Fantastic Gorilla and Golden monkey trip
5/5

Our guide Farouk made our trip so easy and enjoyable. All our requests and needs were provided with great care and attention. He was a great driver on quite difficult roads full of people walking and riding bikes. Jovia handled all the paperwork very efficiently.

Farouk was very attentive!
5/5

Kaara adventures was able to customize my itinerary to check every item on my list. My tour guide was professional and very attentive to me and watchful of the services I received in hotels, restaurants etc. Communication with the Kaara office was stellar. "Budget" accommodations were better than expected.
Some things to note, if you come from a cold place, what they consider cold will feel hot to you, so adjust your packing list accordingly.
Also, in Rwanda and Uganda, tips are expected everywhere so be prepared with cash even if the meal/hotel is covered by the tour.

Incredibly simplified experience
5/5

I did a solo gorilla trek in Uganda and it was absolutely amazing. Trekking through Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to see wild mountain gorillas up close was surreal—peaceful, powerful, and something I’ll never forget. Driving all over Uganda was eye opening and an amazing way of seeing Africa.

Huge shoutout to Farouk, my guide, who was fantastic. He made me feel completely comfortable as a solo traveler and was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. The whole trip was well-organized, safe, and unforgettable from start to finish. He took care of anything I needed and made sure I was comfortable from start to finish.

If you're thinking about doing this—especially solo—go for it. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
