A Memorable Family Safari with Pallid Safari
We had a wonderful experience with Pallid Safari during our family trip to Kenya in August 2026.
Every destination had something special to offer. The magnificent elephant herds in Amboseli, the beautiful and peaceful scenery around Lake Naivasha, and the incredible wildlife in the Masai Mara all left us with unforgettable memories. One of the biggest highlights was spotting a rare black rhino in the wild — we felt incredibly lucky to have such an encounter!
A special thank you to our driver and guide, Simon, who accompanied us throughout the journey. He was friendly, patient and helpful, and we really appreciated his efforts to make the trip enjoyable and comfortable for our family, especially our 10-year-old son.
Although we didn't get to witness the famous wildebeest river crossing, we still had so many amazing wildlife encounters along the way. That's the beauty of a safari — nature is unpredictable, and every day brings something different.
Overall, we were very happy with Pallid Safari. It was a fantastic family adventure, full of beautiful landscapes, incredible wildlife and lasting memories. We would happily recommend Pallid Safari to anyone planning a trip to Kenya.

Elephants, great service, and (almost) no complaints
We booked our safari with Pallid and honestly, everything went smoothly. Communication was always professional, friendly and quick. No chasing emails, no stress.
We were picked up at the airport, and the welcome was warm and very helpful. A good start to the trip!
Our driver Lee was friendly and drove very safely. He always kept a good distance from the animals, so we could enjoy the sightings without disturbing them. Our Land Cruiser was clean, spacious and comfortable, and there was water for us on every drive. Small thing, big difference.
The lodge was a highlight. It is right inside the park, our room was lovely, and the view was something special. Where else do you have breakfast while elephants graze in front of you?
The food was good and the buffets were always generous, also for vegetarians. I won’t say it was the most surprising or exciting food I have ever had, but we were never hungry and never disappointed. The service, on the other hand, was top notch. It really can’t get better. Our waiter Pedro is one of the best I have met in Kenya. If you stay there, say hi to him from us!
For the price, we think it was more than fair. Would we book again with Pallid? Yes, without a doubt.

A wonderful journey in Kenya
From the beginning, Pallid did a great job. When I was inquiring about traveling to Kenya, Carolyn replied to me very quickly and promptly responded during the subsquent consulation process. She also offered some very constructive suggestions. After arriving in Kenya, we met our wonderful driver, Sam. Sam is a very experienced driver. He may arrange the itinerary reasonably. Besides, Sam has a deep understanding of animal behavior which means he might have a better chance of finding the animals we want to see. Overall, Pallid arranged a wonderful trip for us. I would definitely recommend this company to whom want to visit Kenya.

Great experience
We had such a great experience and would happily recommend Guide Simon to anyone planning a safari.
Carolyn was amazing from the very beginning. She always replied quickly, understood exactly what we were looking for, and was super flexible whenever we wanted to adjust the itinerary. Communication was easy and smooth the whole time, which made us feel very comfortable and confident about the trip.
Our guide Simon was fantastic. His car was always clean, and he even cleaned it during the trip so we could start every day with a fresh and tidy vehicle. It may sound like a small detail, but after spending long days on safari, we really appreciated it.
Simon is also an excellent driver. His driving was so smooth that sometimes you almost forgot you were on rough safari roads. We always felt safe and comfortable with him, and honestly, we feel very lucky that Simon was our guide.
One more recommendation: if your itinerary includes Nakuru, definitely consider staying at The Cliff. We absolutely loved it. The hotel is beautiful and was easily one of our favorite stays of the whole trip.

Great experience
I had such an amazing experience and truly enjoyed every moment of my trip! Our guide, Joseph, was knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure we had the best possible experience.
Yvonne was also wonderful from beginning to end. Both she and our guide were extremely attentive and accommodating, even when we had additional requests along the way. I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Kenya.

Would book with them again!
We loved our Safari and would book with Pallid again. Carolyn was extremely professional and helped us with every step leading up to the Safari, during the Safari and even afterwards. Also, we had great guides for Maasai Mara and Serengeti. Anytime we had questions Carolyn was very prompt in her responses as well. The only area of improvement would be the box lunches from the lodges and we didn’t like our stay at Ang'ata Ngorongoro Camp but everywhere else (The Cliff, Zebra River West Camp and Matawi) was nice and the hospitality was amazing.

Very professional, great experience
Carolyn has been incredibly helpful throughout the whole time; and our guide Eric is very professional, can quickly help us locate animals. Pallid is a great tour company that not only helped us with our booking (we booked one week before the trip), but also quickly adjusted with our sudden change of plan. We had a great time and will definitely come back for more.

A well crafted custom experience
Carolyn and Lee at Pallid Safaris helped craft and execute a great safari experience, one that both met my needs and went beyond my expectations. I selected Pallid based on how Carolyn listen to and work with my ideas, but also made suggestions that improved upon them. Together, we built a schedule that included Nairobi National Park, Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Lake Najuru, and Masai Mara, with a fair price for the camps and experiences I expected. Lee as my guide was then able to customize as we went, making some small changes along the way to meet our requests. It was a great overall experience and I would be happy to use them again.
