Very nice experience ! We saw a lot of animals but also beautiful nature.
Amazing experience! We saw a lot of animals as well as beautiful natural landscapes. We really appreciated all the explanations given by Maarufu to better understand how each species lives, collaborates or hunts !
The Mloka lodge was also very good : authentic and quite after long daily journeys !

An unforgettable 8-day private safari in Southern Tanzania with an outstanding local operator
My husband and I had a wonderful 8-day, 7-night private safari in Tanzania’s Southern Circuit with Kihindo Tours & Safaris, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice.
From the very beginning, the Kihindo team was extremely helpful, responsive and patient. We wanted a tailor-made safari rather than a standard package, and they were always willing to listen to our requests, adjust the itinerary and suggest alternatives that better suited our interests, preferences and budget.
What we particularly appreciated was that they didn’t simply agree to everything we asked for: they also offered thoughtful, practical advice based on their local knowledge, helping us make the most of our time in Tanzania.
Throughout the safari, the Kihindo team remained in regular contact with our guides to make sure everything was running smoothly and that we were enjoying our experience. This constant attention and support made us feel genuinely looked after and reassured us that we were in good hands.
Our guides were exceptional: professional, punctual, attentive and always ready to help. They had impressive knowledge of wildlife and the areas we visited, and their patience, kindness and courtesy made the experience even more enjoyable.
The accommodation was generally very good and well suited to the type of safari we had chosen. We particularly loved Camp Lilac in Mikumi, but also enjoyed Mloka Safari Lodge and Ruaha Hilltop Lodge.
Before making our decision, we had contacted and compared several safari operators. Kihindo ultimately offered the best balance of price, quality, flexibility and personal attention among the options we considered.
What made the difference was not just the itinerary or the wildlife encounters, but the people behind the experience. We felt genuinely looked after, both before and during our journey.
We would wholeheartedly recommend Kihindo to anyone looking for a reliable local operator, especially travellers who want a personalised safari, knowledgeable guides and excellent value for money.

Amazing 3 day private tour
The safari in general was a 5 star experience. We loved it. The food. The animals. Amazing.
The guide, Rashid, was the best guide! He was so good and nice. We really liked how he was, he was interacting when appropriate and giving us the time we needed to see animals or take pictures. He was very nice and good at spotting animals.
The food and accomodation was also really good. The host was the nicest person! So sweet. Also, we loved the food, all the meals were delicious 😋
All in all we think it was a 5 star experience 🌟 Especially our guide should have some credit 🤝✨🙏
