Dav Safari is a professional and reliable tour operator offering unforgettable wildlife experiences
5/5

We recently traveled with Dav Safari and had an unforgettable experience! Thanks to their excellent organization, we were able to see the majestic mountain gorillas — truly one of the most breathtaking adventures of our lives.

A special thank you to our guide and driver, Isaac. He was incredibly friendly, always punctual, and very knowledgeable about the region. With him, we felt safe, well taken care of, and learned so much about Uganda’s nature and culture. Thank you for an amazing journey!

Really tried to make sure I saw and did everything I wanted to, super accomodating.
5/5

I went for 5 days 4 nights and it was fantastic. All of the areas we went to in Uganda were incredible, but of course the gorilla tracking was a complete highlight - that said, all other parts were amazing and I couldn't fault Godfrey as a guide. I was incredibly well looked after and he ensured we saw everything that I wanted to see, indulging me with so many photo stops!!
The accommodation was great, not flash, but with everything you need (clean sheets and towels, fresh drinking water, good simple meals and a hot shower at the end of every day) and the staff went well above expectations in every way. The hot water bottle in my bed at Rushaga was a really thoughtful bonus :). Each place we stayed had a highlight at the accommodation - the elephants on the first and second nights, and the incredible views on both the third and final nights.
I felt safe the whole trip and the Ugandan people were just lovely. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone thinking of a safari in Uganda.
An added bonus is that the company is fully Ugandan.

Dav Safaris will meet anyone's expectations
5/5

I had the 10 days tour in Rwanda and Uganda, all went smooth since the first contact, communication was very exhaustive. I had a private tour, Benjamin was my excellent guide and driver, he is very knowledgeable and problem solving. The hotels and lodges were lovely, very clean, the staff was sweet, smiling and serviceable. Food was also very tasty and cooked with fresh produce. I saw many animals, including gorillas and chimps. I definitely recommend Dav Safaris.

Incredible experience; Jerry was THE BEST!
5/5

We had an incredible experience with Dev Safari. We did the 3-day gorilla trek in Bwindi; lots of driving the first and last day (8-10 hours) but totally worth it. Our guide Jerry was incredible — he was so kind and knowledgeable, kept us safe on the roads, and was superbly helpful for any accommodations we needed. Accommodations were very nice and clean, food was plenty at each meal and delicious! The lodge on an island is an absolute dream — I would have loved to stay there longer. Overall, we had a wonderful time, it was great value for money, and we plan to use Dav Safaris on future trips! Highly recommend!!!

Great value and we loved our guide
5/5

I did the 3 day gorilla trek with two friends. Our guide Jerry was super knowledgeable, a great driver (important for the 8-9 hour journeys to and from Entebbe) and incredibly genuine. We were pleased to find out that we had a van to ourselves, where we stored our suitcases. The accommodation exceeded my expectations, with stunning views. We especially enjoyed bird watching and canoeing at Itambira Island. Our lunch stops were great and Jerry made sure the vegetarians in our group had plenty to eat.

If I were to do it again, I think I would either extend the trip to 4-5 days or fly into Kigali airport (instead of Entebbe) to shorten the drives to Bwindi reserve.

I recommend packing a comfortable face mask, as you will need to wear one during your one hour with the gorillas. We didn’t wear gloves or gaiters, just tucked our pants into our socks. I was amazed by how close we got to be to the gorillas. Truly a once in a lifetime experience!

A fantastic trip
5/5

A grand adventure we had for 19 days with Julius. We chose to do a mid price accommodation tour that involved over 7 parks and circumnavigating Uganda. All accommodations were beautiful and safe. The hosts were gracious and very helpful. I cannot speak highly enough of Julius. He was kind, very knowledgeable and incredibly patient. Despite some literal bumps in the road he was always calm and willing to make adjustments, a great representative of the company. We had a fantastic time, some great laughs and even better memories. Thank you DAV

Fantastic Experience
5/5

I recently travelled to Uganda with Dav Safaris’s with my two older teenage children. Our guide Julius was amazing. From the moment he picked us up he was well organized and made sure we were where we needed to be. He was very knowledgeable about Uganda. Julius had a very good rapport and relationship with the people working at the chimp and gorilla trekking locations and we ended up with amazing guides and an awesome gorilla family to spend time with, I think thanks to Julius’s relationship with the experience providers.
I highly recommend Dav Safaris and Julius especially.

Beautiful experience in Uganda
5/5

We spent 1 week in Uganda and it was amazing. We did 3 trekking: chimpanzees, gorillas and golden monkeys. Our guide, Julius, has been perfect from the beginning to the very end, always kind and helpful. We never felt unsafe. His knowledge about Uganda and the parks’ staffs made everything running smoothly and our gorilla’s family was just amazing.
We highly recommend having a trip with him

AMAZING and trustworthy. The best tour operator there is.
5/5

This was an AMAZING experience. The process of arranging the tour went super smoothly and was clear. They had great accommodation choices and even chose the best spots were you stop for breaks and lunch. They definitely pay attention to details and tailor the experience in such a way that you feel super comfortable, safe, while you enjoy at the maximum. Thank you to Rigan for arranging everything and being so kind. Also special thanks to our guide Benjamin!!!! He is an amazing guide, very knowledgeable, ready to help, reliable, fun, and took great care of us! I learned so much during this trip and had so much fun as well! It was definitely a unique vacation experience :) thank you!!!

Exceeded expectations
5/5

I booked a 5-Day Gorilla and Chimpanzee Trekking Tour with Dav Safaris and it was absolutely amazing. From the start, Reagan was very helpful with organizing my itinerary and answering all my questions. The whole tour was arranged to my needs and I was happily surprised that I got a "private" tour, since I was the only person departing that day. I even got welcomed at the airport by Reagan himself, his daughter and Ben, my guide, who was also extremely helpful and kind to me the whole five days. Because I'm a woman travelling alone, it can be concerning to go on the road that much time with a man you don't know, but Ben always made me feel safe and comfortable, and he was always trying to improve my experience by widening my knowledge about Uganda, it's wildlife and culture, and making sure I was having the time of my life.

As for the trekking experiences, they were both so amazing and fulfilling, and I was lucky enough (also thanks to Ben) that neither of them were as long as I had expected. Other highlights of the trip were the monkey trekk and community tour, which I enjoyed greatly (guided by a local named Patrick), and the visit to Lake Buyonyi.

Regarding the lodges, I stayed in three different ones, all of them absolutely stunning and filled with the nicest people. The food was great at all times, whether we ate at the lodges, packed lunches, or on the road. The vehicle was comfortable, which was great because we had many driving hours a day.

In sum, I'm happy I got to live this experience without any disturbances or complaints. I 100% recommend Dav Safaris.
