Once-in-a-Lifetime Primate Adventure
This was one of the most memorable trips I have ever taken. During five days, I had the chance to see golden monkeys, mountain gorillas, and chimpanzees in their natural habitats.
Everything went smoothly thanks to the excellent support from our guide, Isaac. He was always helpful, patient, and knowledgeable, making sure everyone had a great experience.
I would highly recommend this tour and Isaac to anyone planning a primate safari in Rwanda and Uganda.

Excellent and safe tour with DAV Safaris and Julius as our guide.
We just came back from an amazing 5‑day trip with Dav Safaris that started in Kigali and took us through Bwindi, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Kibale, finishing in Entebbe. Honestly, it was one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had.
Our guide, Julius, met us right on time at our hotel in Kigali and from that moment on we felt completely taken care of. He knows so much about the parks, the animals, and the local culture, and he always made sure we were comfortable and getting the most out of every stop.
Especially at the Bwindi National Parks seeing gorillas, our amazing experience with the gorilla family was 100% thanks to Julius making sure we're assigned the best ranger and the friendliest gorilla family.
The wildlife sightings were unforgettable:
- Bwindi gave us the chance to see gorillas up close — something we’ll never forget.
- In Queen Elizabeth, we watched leopards stalking antelopes, saw herds of elephants, hippos lounging in the water, crocodiles nearby, and endless antelopes running free.
- And in Kibale, we spent time with chimpanzees in their natural habitat, which was just incredible.
Every lodge we stayed at was spot‑on: clean rooms, welcoming staff, and food that was consistently delicious. After long days of adventure, it felt great to come back to such comfortable places.
If you’re thinking about visiting Uganda we can’t recommend Dav Safaris enough. And if you can, ask for Julius — he’ll make sure you have the best time possible.

The most beautiful journey of my life
I've traveled a lot in my life, but I've never had such a well-organized trip. Great price, excellent tour. We saw it all.
Lions, giraffes, rhinos, elephants, hippos, antelopes, giraffes, chimpanzees, gorillas, buffalo, crocodiles, and so much more.
Extremely well-organized down to the last detail.
Wonderful accommodations nestled in nature, endless food.
But what I enjoyed most was the guide. Benjamin is the best; we became friends, laughed, and made every place we went dance.
He was amazing because he fulfilled my every wish.

Truly incredible experience Isaac Habiyaremye as my guide!
From the beginning, Ibrahim from Dav Safaris was incredibly communicative and helpful answering my questions about my tour and making sure I chose the right itinerary for me for gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Booking the tour was seamless and Ibrahim put me in touch with my guide Isaac, a couple days before my tour was scheduled to start.
Isaac was the best guide and I would highly recommend him to anyone! He was professional, communicative, friendly, and fun and I felt very well taken care of especially as a solo female traveler. My trip went flawlessly huge thanks to him and I will definitely ask for Isaac as my guide again if/when I come back! Thank you again for everything Isaac!

Our experience with Julius was truly unforgettable. He guided us during our trip to see the golden monkeys and gorillas in Uganda, and we couldn’t have asked for a better person to share this adventure with.
Julius was incredibly kind, patient, and always looking out for us. He shared so much about the culture, history, and daily life in both Rwanda and Uganda, and was always happy to answer our endless questions. You can really feel how much he cares about people and about what he does.
The golden monkeys were such a special experience, and seeing the gorillas was absolutely magical — something we will remember forever. Julius even helped us get boot covers when we realized we were missing them, which says a lot about how attentive and thoughtful he is.

Everything I wanted and more!
This was a great experience! I chose this company based on reviews, and I’m very glad I did. Leaving up to the trip. They were very responsive and provided me with all the information needed. Once I arrived in Rwanda, I was met with my driver, Isaac. Isaac really made the experience so much more than I expected. He provided clear understanding of each part of the trip, including cultural aspects, historical information, knowledge about the flora and fauna, and a personal aspect as he is local to the region. His knowledge as a local provided a rich cultural experience, and he made me feel completely taken care of at all times. The Safari itself was fantastic! I was linked to so many great experiences. I got to see the gorillas, golden monkeys, chimpanzees, and so much more during the game drive! I highly recommend this company. They also arranged for charming accommodations, which also provided local food, and cultural experiences. And if you can have Isaac be your guide, the trip will be that much more enriching.

Seamless
Booked a safari at Akagera and gorilla tracking in Bwindi with Reagan last year. Communication was easy via email/WhatsApp. Come March, arriving in Kigali, everything has been arranged and Benjamin (Aine), our guide, was fantastic. We felt safe and both safaris were truly enjoyable and memorable. This was our first time in subsaharan Africa and met only the nicest people during our brief visit.
