Our tour opeator was both knowledgeable, attentive to our needs and easy to work with.
We are two senior adventures. We contracted with Africa Safari Bookings for our trip to Kenya and Tanzana. We planned the details of our trip with the guidance of Edmond our tour operator, The outcome was terrific. We encountered almost face to face the big five and other animals like Giraffes, Hippopotamus, Cheetahs, Zebra, Wildabest, Kuda, Impala, Monkeys, Hyenas, Gazelle and Thompson Gaxelle to mention a few. We felt the success of our advenrure not only goes to Edmond but our guides/ drivers. There many years of experience made this trip a success. A good guide is a must when doing this type of trip because they know how to corrdinate with the other safari drivers to find the aniimals close up. Our trip with Africa Safari Bookings was a life time experiencce and we highly recommend them.
A couple of other issues you may want to consider when booking a trip to Africa, If you go at peak season July and Aqugust there are so many safari's on the road that there are many back ups in getting in and out of the park along with waiting in line in your Safari Van to see an animals cose up for a few seconds. Another issue is goinging a group of 4 or 6 people in the same Safari Van which makes it difficult to all stand and see and take pictures of all the animals at the same time when there are so many Vans at the same sight.
We decided to go with a Van just for ourselves and were able to let the driver know when we wanted to stop to take pictures or just observe the animals. This decision was made ahead of time, During our trip this decision was a good one and was comfirmed as the best way to go for us thrrough our observations and talking with our two driver/guides. It may cost a little more but if you work with Africa Safari bookings it will all be worth it.

Excellence, efficiency and enthusiasm. Our tour was perfect!
Through safari bookings we got to use Claudious Tours for our ascent of Mt Kenya. From start to finish everything was perfect (except for the weather, which actually kind of made it more adventurous!).
Our guide, Shem, was truly a delight, and his team of Augustin (chef), Anton, Gilbert and Jimmy were altogether the nicest crew you could possibly wish for. The entire tour took place amongst smiles, laughter and joy. Our porters were so kind, gentle and thoughtful and our guide’s knowledge was impressively extensive. The food was absolutely amazing and nutritious and the little touches, like being brought warm water to wash hands and faces with was magical. We enjoyed every step and will cherish our memories of these special people and the astonishing scenery for ever. We unreservedly recommend Claudious Tours to anybody wishing for a wonderful adventure. Thank you Shem and the team!

Mount Kenya Tour
We did a 5 days mount kenya trip with the guide “Shame” and his team. All of them were really amazing and very kind! It was really nice spending time with them and do the trip together. In addition to that, the nature was also incredible and you should definitely see it!!
Unfortunately, the trip was not 100% like we talked with our contact person about. For example, we were told, that we would sleep in huts and tends. But we stayed in tends the whole time. Which was definitely not a problem to us, but it just wasn’t like described to us.
Also some prices of our gear rental changed on the last day, even though our contact person had sent the actual prices before. So sadly they tried to charges us more in the last minute. Unfortunately this was really not a good feeling to start the trip.
But in total the trip was still really really nice! And as soon as we were with our really good guide Shame and his team on the mountain, we enjoyed every second of it!!
Mount Kenya - Wonderful Experience
As a solo female traveller I had a great experience completing the Mount Kenya trek with Shem! He was very knowledgeable and ensured I was enjoying myself throughout the trip. We were the only ones to summit that day because he understood the weather conditions and he was right that the rain would subside, the views from the peak were absolutely beautiful! Couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Would highly recommend Shem and the team to anyone looking for their next adventure :-)

Tended to all our needs and wants.
African safari bookings advisory centre organised our 30 day tailored itinerary to Kenya and Tanzania for the month of September visiting 10 parks and 3 major cities in Kenya as well as Zanzibar in Tanzania. I could not fault the organisation for all the details they had to go through to organise and cater for all our specific demands. We were five in the group and had 7 for 10 days and all worked out in the 7seater we had. Yes, a couple of hiccups on the way but was immediately addressed by Francis and Edmund to our satisfaction. The hotels chosen were fantastic with a selection of lodges, hotels and glamping in conjunction with our chief organiser.
Our main driver for 20 days, Wyclif, was exceptional. He was well versed with all the flora and fauna together with his communication to us and good to see him being part of our family during the time with us. His driving was exceptional - considerate, careful and experienced and flexible to our requests on all the massage roads we had to deal with. In Tanzania for a week, we had Israel who also knew the parks inside out and was experienced.
I certainly can recommend African Safaris Advisory for all their expertise and helpfulness in organising your safari. I certainly will go back to use them and have already passed my recommendations to others.

We had a great 30-day safari of Kenya & Tanzania. A very specific and customised itinerary, which included must see sights as a number of us were returning to our roots after many, many years abroad.

Encouraging & professional
I went for a hiking trip up to Mt Kenya from 31/12/2023-4/1/2024. My tour guide, Shem, was very kind, friendly, professional, and encouraging. He was also very helpful in making sure that I was feeling good each day before getting started on the trek. On my third day, I spontaneously felt like I wanted to summit a day earlier than planned and when I asked Shem for his insight/thoughts, he was very supportive & straight away got the crew ready to make it happen. It was a successful trip! I had a wonderful cook, Augustine, too. He would always check on whether I've had enough food or needed anything else. The food and fruits were amazing! I had two porters - Joshua and Julius; both men were quiet, calm, and on task. I highly recommend going on this adventure with this team! :)
