Exceeded our expectations
We were very satisfied with our tour operator notably Ana and her daughter Irene. Communication and organization was flawless. They even provided us with their own personal jackets when they saw that ours would nor be sufficiently warm in Ngorongoro at night. After the tour they still cared for us although the tour and the contract officially finished. In the end we said good bye to each other as friends. Thank you very much for helping us with everything!

Organized and flawless

A Thoughtful and Family-Friendly Safari Experience
We had a wonderful experience with Porcupine Expeditions and were very happy with the whole trip. From the beginning, the team was kind, understanding, flexible, and always willing to help. They paid attention to the small details and made everything easy and comfortable for our family.
A special thank you to Juliana, our guide, who was warm, friendly, and welcoming throughout the trip. The company owner was also incredibly helpful and accommodating, which we really appreciated.
We visited Serval Wildlife on one day and then explored the Ngorongoro Crater the next day. The safari at Ngorongoro was very enjoyable, with a professional driver, a great group of people, and a relaxed atmosphere. Even though it was a long day, we felt comfortable the entire time and had a lot of fun.
Most importantly, our little daughter had an amazing time, and seeing her so happy made the experience even more special for us.
Thank you to everyone at Porcupine Expeditions for helping us create such lovely family memories. We would happily recommend them to others.

Fantastic safari, excellent guide, and everything was perfectly organized
We had an amazing safari experience from start to finish. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about wildlife. He had an amazing ability to spot animals, even those we would never have noticed ourselves, and always positioned the vehicle as close as possible while respecting the animals and park rules, giving us fantastic views and great photo opportunities.
The accommodation was comfortable, the food was delicious, and drinks were always available. Every part of the trip was well organized and of a very high standard. We truly appreciated the attention to detail and the effort made to ensure we had the best possible experience.
I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for an unforgettable safari in Tanzania!

Would book with them again and again
When looking for the right tour operator and planning the perfect safari, it can feel overwhelming. There are so many companies and so many reviews that it’s hard to know who to trust. If you’re reading this, just know we were in the exact same position until we came across this company—and we’re so glad we did.
From the very beginning, they made the booking process incredibly easy. They were flexible with our requests, answered all of our questions, and made everything stress-free. The moment we arrived in Africa, Mama Ana made and her family made us feel at home. Everyone who took care of us was welcoming, kind, and genuinely cared about making sure we had an unforgettable experience.
The hotel we stayed at had friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and good food. Once our safari began, we were lucky enough to have Julius as our guide and Freddy as our chef.
Julius was absolutely incredible. He was extremely knowledgeable, always happy to answer questions, and had eyes like an eagle. If you’re hoping to see the Big Five, he’s basically a cheat code. He somehow managed to spot animals that none of us could see, and every sighting came with interesting facts about the wildlife and the parks. His years of experience really showed, and we always felt we were in great hands.
Freddy was just as amazing. Every breakfast, lunch, and dinner was ready on time, and every meal was delicious. We never felt like we were eating the same thing over and over, and there was always plenty of food. No matter what he prepared, we always left the table full and happy. On top of that, he was incredibly friendly and always had a smile on his face.
We chose the camping package where we stayed in tents each night, and honestly, we don’t regret it one bit. It made the experience feel so much more authentic. Hearing lions roaring in the distance while lying in our tent is something we’ll never forget. It truly felt like we were part of the wilderness.
This safari exceeded every expectation we had. From the planning, to the accommodations, to the people who took care of us, everything was outstanding. We would absolutely book with this company again, and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for an unforgettable safari experience. You won’t regret it.

For money-related matters such as paying deposits and booking hotels, clear proof was always provided. Additionally, if the safari route needed adjustment due to external factors like the rainy season, we were informed in advance, giving us a strong sense of security.

Great safari
I had a very good safari with porcupine tours!
They customised the safari for me to add an extra day at lake Manyara into the 5 day tour and the communication and value was great.
The tour itself was incredible and I saw so many mammals, plants and birds over the six days! The driver was very good at navigating the wet season tracks in the park. An incredible experience. The food the chef cooked was really great too. (I am vegetarian and there was always nice vegetarian options)
They were also very helpful arranging onwards travel.

Absolutely unforgettable experience
I have no words to describe how this team treated us - not like tourists, but rather family members ❤️ Communication since the beginig has been exceptional: they’ve replied at 11:30 pm on sunday evening, answered all my questions, welcomed us at the airport at 4am - everything was incredible! Irene took care of everything and during the safari the whole experience was once in a lifetime - we saw so many animals, landscapes and our driver Niko was probably the best among the rest! The team also arranged transportation from Atusha to Moshi and basically took care of all the worries that we might have, so we could enjoy the experience in the best way possible! Super grateful for all the work they do and the way they treated us 🙏
