Seamless and wonderful experience
Our Safari with Beyond the Plains was everything we hoped for. Dan, our driver, was professional, always on time, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. Linet always answered our questions quickly and tailored the Safari to exactly what we wanted. Our stay at Zebra Plains was amazing. Overall, I would use them again and I am recommending them to everyone that is interested in a Safari in Kenya. The memories we made will last a lifetime.

This was a first class safari experience! Beyond the Plains Kenya Safaris met and exceeded all our expectations. Unforgettable Safari Experience!
We just got back from an amazing 10-day safari in Kenya with Beyond the Plains Kenya Safaris, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything went. From our first messages with Julius Kariuki to the final drop-off in Nairobi, the trip was smooth, exciting, and full of unforgettable moments. Julius was incredibly responsive and kind throughout the planning process—always answering our questions quickly and thoroughly on WhatsApp and email. He really listened to what we wanted and put together a perfect itinerary that included Amboseli, Naivasha, Nakuru, and the stunning Masai Mara. We were also glad that our time in Nairobi was included in the plan, which many other companies left out.
The true star of our safari, though, was Ben, our guide and driver. He was professional, friendly, and endlessly patient. The roads were rough at times, but Ben always made sure we felt safe and comfortable. His ability to spot wildlife (and name every animal and bird we came across!) was unreal. He often took us away from the more crowded areas to give us quieter and more personal wildlife sightings—something we really appreciated. The open-sided Land Cruiser we requested was great for photography, and Ben made sure it was stocked with water and had WiFi, which was super helpful in remote areas.
If we had to nitpick, the vehicle could use a little maintenance—some loose plastic pieces and a wobbly handle could be fixed up. But the engine and tires were solid, and overall it ran great. Honestly, those were small things in an otherwise incredible trip. We’d recommend Beyond the Plains Kenya Safaris in a heartbeat to anyone thinking of an affordable and comprehensive safari in Kenya. Can’t wait to go back someday!

Amazingly curated trip, great prices and safe!
We loved the entire experience and would pick them again if we went back. We liased with Sammy who patiently curated the entire Safari trip for us based on our needs. He was meticulous in researching the best possible options, and adjusted prices for us. The communication was seamless and we got great value for our money, much better service than was offered by other tours companies. Our guide Ken, was amazing and we had a great time, we felt safe and secure!

Unforgettable Safari Experience with Beyond the Plains
We recently returned from an incredible nine-day safari tour organized by Beyond the Plains, and we can’t recommend them highly enough. The entire trip was expertly curated by Felix, who ensured every detail was thoughtfully planned and executed. Our journey began in Nairobi, taking us through the stunning landscapes of Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, then crossing into Tanzania to explore the vast Serengeti and awe-inspiring Ngorongoro Crater, before wrapping up our adventure back in Kenya at the picturesque Amboseli National Park.
From the moment we arrived in Nairobi, Felix and Dan were there to greet us promptly at the airport, setting the tone for what turned out to be a seamless and memorable journey. Dan was our driver and guide during the Kenya leg, and he was exceptional. Far beyond just driving us from place to place, Dan was observant, detail-oriented, and always made sure we were well-informed about what to expect during our transits. His insights and commentary added great depth to our experience, and his thoughtfulness never went unnoticed.
Once we crossed into Tanzania, we were met by Anderson, who took over for the rest of the tour. Anderson was nothing short of outstanding—professional, kind, and clearly passionate about what he does. He had our best interests at heart every step of the way, and his commitment to making sure we had the best wildlife encounters was truly appreciated. Despite the long hours on the road, he was always upbeat, ensuring our comfort while tirelessly searching for the best sightings.
Both Dan and Anderson brought a wealth of knowledge to the experience and were incredibly generous in sharing it. Whether it was information about animal behavior, the ecosystems, or cultural insights, we learned so much thanks to them. We also appreciated how both were proactive and respectful—not just to us as their guests, but also to other drivers and vehicles on the game drives, which speaks volumes about their professionalism and courtesy.
Even during full-day drives, there was never a dull moment with either Dan or Anderson. Their humor, stories, and deep connection with the land made the journey as enjoyable as the destinations themselves.

Beyond Expectations
We were a little trepidatious upon landing in Nairobi at 4 am and being new to Africa and a safari adventure. We weren't sure exactly what to expect. Our worries melted away as soon as we saw the welcome sign with our names on it right outside the terminal exit. Our safari guide, Kevin, was there waiting for us and welcomed us to Kenya and off we went! It was indeed a once in a lifetime experience for our family and the expert guide and transportation between the different parks by Beyond the Plains made it truly worry free. Kevin's knowledge of the parks and his relationships with the locals and other operators ensured that we got the best viewings of wildlife. Checked off all the Big Fives and more. Truly beyond expectations!

Incredible safari experience
We had an incredible 6-day tour covering Nairobi, Naivasha, Nakuru, and the Masai Mara with Beyond the Plains Safari, and it was flawless from start to finish!
A huge thank you to Lilian for her timely communication, help with crafting the itinerary, and lightning-fast responses to every question. She even checked in with us daily from the Nairobi office to make sure we were having the best possible experience — a truly thoughtful touch. From the very first day, the whole team welcomed us warmly and gave us a detailed briefing, setting the tone for a well-organized and memorable trip.
But the star of our safari was without a doubt our amazing guide, Ben. Thanks to his skill and knowledge, we saw all of the African Big Five, cheetahs, countless other animals, and were lucky enough to witness the Great Migration, which was absolutely breathtaking. Ben is a safe, careful driver and incredibly caring — he even went the extra mile to get a stepping stool for my mom so she could easily get in and out of the safari vehicle throughout the trip. His thoughtfulness, attention to comfort, and deep respect for the wildlife — giving animals space while ensuring we still had fantastic views, made our experience unforgettable.
