Ramja Safaris were excellent, highly recommend.
We had a fabulous time on our safari with Ramja Safaris. Steve tailored the safari to suit our plans and he was always quick to respond to my questions, nothing was too much to ask. Our tour guide Patrick was helpful, knowledgeable and worked hard to ensure that we saw everything that we wanted to see. The safari itself was amazing. We saw so many animals! We saw a leopard from a few metres and so many lions up close. We were upgraded in our lodge at the Masa Mari which was so luxurious! Such a memorable and fabulous holiday.

Professional, efficient, friendly, accomodating, and, excellant service.
From first contact the interaction with Steve was always responsive and helpful. Accommodating the requests of all 6 in our group was never too much. Sammy our guide is an above excellent driver. To the uninitiated to African driving it might feel too aggressive (as the Europeans in our group), it was professional and safe. Our viewings were a real treat and happy to see from serval cat to lion to rhino and all in between.
One negative comment I do have is concerning Nakuru lake. This is not only this particular company but all tour operators and even government official communication still promote Nakuru lake with photos of the flamingo population of 15-20 years ago. This is FALSE advertising. There has been ZERO sightings at this lake of flamingos for more than 8 years, forget about a million. Nakuru has MORE than enough to offer without using dubious advertising tactics.
Another criticism is regarding the accommodation at Sentrim Maasai Mara. Definitely NOT up to standard both relating to staff as services.
Overall, a very great experience.

Fabulous
Ramja Safaris is just simply the best! Easy booking online from the Netherlands via WhatsApp with Steve the manager in Nairobi. Steve is very friendly and gave us good tips for the safari. He booked fantastic lodges at Sapa lodges. You wake up and there're zebra's standing at your doorstep, just wow! And then the safari itself with Patrick our Guide! We saw every animal we could dream of! The big 5, cheeta's, leopards, lions, white rhino's and black rhino's. The whole trip was just a dream come true. So we would defenitely recommend Ramja Safaris!!

No scam. RAMJA safari is truly a good tour operator
I had a short 5-day, 4-night safari in Kenya. I consulted a few tour operators, but none of them replied as promptly as Steve.
Steve is the manager or the boss of the company, and there are seven tour guides (also drivers) who work for him.
At first, I was rather skeptical about their reviews because there were zero bad reviews, which made me suspicious. But I want to thank Steve for his patience and understanding, even though I asked him a lot of questions.
Patrick was my driver and guide for the Masai Mara. I also learned that he is usually the assigned guide for the Masai Mara National Reserve. He is extremely experienced, having worked as a guide for 19 years.
He is very kind to the people around him, which is why most of the guides, hotel staff, and park rangers are his friends. This is extremely important because a safari is not a one-man show, it’s teamwork. Everyone helps one another by sharing information about where animals can be spotted.
I checked off the Big Five easily with Patrick. It felt almost too good to be true. At times it felt like I was in a zoo because spotting animals seemed so easy with Patrick’s expertise!
I would say Patrick is not someone who talks a lot, but he is considerate, always helpful, and respects his clients’ decisions. He also makes decisions that benefit his clients. For example, he went off-road (ignoring Google Maps) during our journey to Lake Nakuru and the Masai Mara, and it proved to be the right choice because it saved us travel time.
The accommodations at Sopa Lodges were excellent! nothing to complain about. The hotel staff were friendly and observant. I requested a room near the reception because I didn’t want to walk in the dark back to my room since I was traveling alone, and they arranged that for me.
I strongly recommend flying into or out of the park because it saves so much time.
I am looking forward to traveling with RAMJA Safari again.

Excellent tour to Amboseli and Nairobi
Excellent tour! We saw a lot. They are good with kids (9, 12, 14), very responsive and adaptable. We had flight issues and they were excellent to adjust accordingly our various activities in order to not miss anything we had planned. Highly recommended!

Excellence all round in delivery, quality and personal friendly touch
The trip was genuinely a trip of a life time. It was are arranged and organised so well from designing a tour. The pre information on arrival and then the pick was like clockwork. The guide (Patrick) was simply brilliant and had very detailed knowledge and experience. Finding everything we wanted without hassle and allowing such Beautiful scenes. The lodges were juts so lovely and staff were brilliant.

Seamless planning and unforgettable experience from start to finish
Our safari with Ramja exceeded our expectations on all fronts. The reviews were so glowing we almost thought it was too good to be true but it really does live up to the hype.
From our first inquiry Steve was attentive, quick to respond and advise on all our questions and help us build the perfect itinerary. He managed to balance making suggestions based on his experience and working around our preferences.
Our guide Sammy made our safari a truly special experience. He has over 28 years experience and we felt like we benefitted from that at every turn.
He always seemed to know when and where to be in the parks for the best sightings, including how to beat the crowds (we saw everything on our list and a lot more). He was really knowledgeable about the animals too and we learnt so much. He even tolerated our bad Swahili and was more than happy to give us lessons as we drove around! Above all else Sammy was just a really lovely man to spend 5 days with. He's got such a natural warmth and kindness and it made the experience absolutely unforgettable.
In terms of the practicals: we were a couple on honeymoon and opted to stay at the Sopa lodges in Mara, Nakuru and Naivasha. Steve arranged everything for us and the hotel always made our experience special with complementary treats along the way. All three lodges are beautiful and unique in their own way (including some breathtaking views) and we were always given a warm welcome by the staff.
We would recommend Ramja in a heartbeat. It was completely stress free and we honestly couldn't have wished for a better experience.
