Once in a lifetime, incredible!!
Where do I even begin with this review? I truly cannot recommend Kojuu Safaris enough.
From the very first enquiry and throughout the entire booking process, right up to the safari itself, everything was completely seamless. We had absolutely no idea where to start when planning a safari, so we gave Kojuu a budget to work with. Julian came back to us with two tailored options, one luxury and one mid range. We chose the luxury option and it exceeded all of our expectations.
We came for our honeymoon and it truly was a once in a lifetime experience. Every lodge was made aware that we were celebrating our honeymoon, and we received several room upgrades, cakes and so many thoughtful touches that made the trip feel even more special.
Our driver, Ombeni, was incredible. He was so patient and knowledgeable, and he made every game drive such a fun and unforgettable experience. I honestly couldn’t believe how he was able to spot animals, he would notice them from so far away, things we never would have seen ourselves. It was so impressive and truly showed what a fantastic guide he is. Thanks to him, we were lucky enough to see the Big Five, which was just amazing.
What really stood out was how supportive the Kojuu team were throughout. We had a very minor issue at one of the hotels and Ombeni stayed with us to help resolve it, while Julian was immediately available on WhatsApp to assist. The level of care and service was exceptional.
Every lodge we stayed in was exactly what we had hoped for, beautiful, comfortable and perfectly chosen for us. The safari vehicle itself was so comfortable, and the food and drinks provided were fantastic. Kojuu even asked us in advance what snacks and drinks we preferred, and the car was fully stocked with our favourites, such a thoughtful touch.
Our safari was worth every penny and I would return in a heartbeat.

A wonderful first time Safari experience
We read the very good online reviews regarding Kojuu Safaris. This was our first safari experience and we were initially hesitant about not going with a mainstream tour operator. We need not have worried. Judith put together a fantastic tour experience taking in the grand migration/ calving experience in 3 different National Reserves. The accommodations were great. Throughout the process communication was speedy and proficient. We organised our own flights but we were met on time by our couriers without hitch. A special mention must go to Patrick, our safari guide. His knowledge was top notch and we managed to see all the Big 5. He was courteous, patient and very professional. I would have no hesitation in recommending Kojuu Safaris.

A person like Bariki gives you more than you can expect. He exceeds your expectations and makes everyone feel satisfied with his experience and knows where to look for signs of animals. His knowledge and experience is priceless and I was grateful he was my guide and made my experience of a lifetime a success and so grateful to have him with me.

Great Experience

Exceptional Honeymoon Safari Experience with Kojuu!
My husband and I celebrated our honeymoon with a safari in Tanzania and were thrilled with the experience Kojuu Safaris provided. This was our first ever safari experience, and we wanted to go with a locally owned and operated company. Our Sales Consultant, Losim, was attentive and responsive throughout the planning process, offering several itinerary and lodging options until we found the perfect balance of diverse locations and beautiful lodges within our budget. Losim’s attention to detail stood out the entire trip, from greeting us with roses and a “Just Married” jeep to coordinating with lodges for decorated rooms, wine, and surprise desserts that made our honeymoon extra special.
Our Safari Guide, Bariki, had impressive knowledge of all the parks and made a huge impact on our safari. We would recommend Bariki to anyone using Kojuu. He listened to our preferences and worked with us daily to create unforgettable moments. Bariki was willing to explore deeper parts of the parks, allowing us to enjoy unique experiences away from other jeeps. In 10 days, we saw everything that we were hoping to: lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, rhinos, hundreds of elephants, giraffes, zebras, warthogs, buffalo, and more. Every single day we saw cats of some type, and some days we saw all three. While no guide can guarantee wildlife sightings, Bariki’s navigation skills, eyesight, and animal spotting abilities made a real difference. He was also an exceptional driver, handling challenging, muddy roads so well that we were never at risk of getting stuck.
Our itinerary included Tarangire, the Ngorongoro Crater, Ndutu, and the Serengeti. We traveled in early February which meant the grasses were not yet too tall and babies of all kinds were abundant. We experienced some rain in the early evenings in the Serengeti, but we were always able to get in a full day game drive in. It was a great time of year to travel through the Northern Circuit in Tanzania.
Every day was a successful adventure, and the trip was truly an exceptional experience. From airport pick-up to drop-off the last day, every need was taken care of and transfers between parks and lodges were seamless. The high level of care Kojuu provided allowed us to unplug, relax, and fully enjoy the safari. Although I initially thought this would be a once-in-a-lifetime trip, the experience was so positive that we’re convinced we’ll need to return in the future.

Excellent, very organized, would recommend to everyone
My partner and I visited Tanzania and went with Kojuu Safaris for a 4-day safari trip.
Everything was excellent. Our driver Patric made this a trip of a lifetime for us and was such a great companion. He was very attentive, tried his best to make sure we’d see as many animals as possible, and very accommodative with everything - we were very lucky to have him.
Glory, our contact with Kojuu has also been excellent, very helpful with helping us book everything, very responsive with any questions we had, and would check in throughout the trip to make sure everything runs smiothly.
Overall, an amazing experience and will surely be recommending Koju Safaris to anyone who might want to do a safari trip.

Kojuu offered us a wonderful safari experience
Our eight day safari managed by Zaituni included Tarangire NP, the Serengeti, Lake Ndutu and the fabulous Ngorongoro crater. It was action packed and delivered a wonderful safari experience. Our guide Aron was very knowledgeable, a great driver and incredible spotter. We stayed at some wonderful accommodation. We especially loved the Four Seasons and the Simbavati camp at Lake Ndutu. Our departure coincided with the Iran war and meant our flights could not go. Zaituni was very helpful in finding us alternatives and checked to ensure all was well. Whilst it was all amazing the Ngorongoro crater was off the scales. It felt like entering shangri la or the garden of eden.
Phenomenal, professional, always available for answers, congenial
I started researching months in advance and chose Kojuu because it seemed a good fit as they had a Private Tour and Guide going to locations that I wanted to see at a Level that would be comfortable and provide luxury AND lots of opportunities to see the Big animals. All of that was provided and More. I have traveled to Europe many times, but the tour operators, the Guide (Patrick), and lodge staff at all locations were a step above with elegant lodgings, fantastic meals, and professionalism and congeniality that also made you feel like family. I truly will miss them.
I am 72 yr old, yes that’s old but I am active and all of these lovely people will take care of you. So much fun, and as they say… it was a trip of a lifetime”! I saw lions at close range, hundreds of Zebras, enormous packs of Baboons, a female cheetah with her teenagers who had her kill taken by Hyenas, a silly group of monkeys who tried to steal our picnic lunch, lots of wildebeests getting ready to migrate, ostrich, lots of gazelles, beautiful morning sunrises, and of course the Masai tribes herding their animals, and guarding you at night . You will never forget this trip. Of course my most favorite person was my Professional Guide Patrick… ever Patient, always congenial, and sooo knowledgeable of the wildlife names, locations, and his unbelievable abilities to traverse the roads and find the animals! He’s a saint, in that when I would be tired or anxious he can make you laugh, or be so understanding. The Best Safari guide.

Best Safari Tour
I am so grateful that I have met Kojuu Safaris Africa for my first visit to Africa. They have provided us seamless support throughout the whole journey, making our trip so memorable.
I would say the service provided by the company from the start to the end is just unbeatable. As this is our first visit to Africa, we were struggled on how to get start with planning on our trip, Zaituni has provided us a lot of insight and suggestion at the very beginning. She is patient to answer all of my questions and responded very quickly. She eased all of our concern that came to our mind. Frankly speaking, I have reached out to a lot of company before I engaged to Kojuu Safaris Africa. However, I made the decision very quickly until I met Zaituni. She literally put our needs as the first priority. She is flexible to make any adjustment for us that fit our needs. As she is my first point of contact , she is the reason that makes me feel confident to this company. I knew that I would be in good hands during my time in Africa. Zaituni has arranged everything for us and we do not have to worry about a single thing for the trip. She came to have a briefing with us to ensure we have a better understanding of what’s going on for the next few days on the first day of arrival and even brought us some little surprises, she made us feel so warm and welcome. I am really impressed of the service that she has provided.
Another important person that made my trip perfect is my safari guide, Leonard. He is very experienced and knowledgeable. I always wonder how he can spot the animals so quickly. We successfully see all the Big 5 because of him! He also explained a lot of the features of each animal to us during the game drive, I learned a lot of interesting fact about the animals from him. Most importantly, he is not only a great safari guide, I think that he is also a talented photographer, who took a lot of funny picture for us so that we can keep this precious memory forever, he even suggest us how to pose to have a better picture! All these pictures will remind us our wonderful time in Africa. I would also like to say thank you to Leonard for trying his best to accommodate our wish during the safari, his service is really go beyond expectation, elevating our whole safari experience to the next level. My husband and I do enjoyed his accompany during the whole safari trip.
Big thanks to Zaituni and Leonard, we had a great time in Africa. We will definitely come back to Kojuu Safaris Africa for our future visit to Tanzania.

FELT AT HOME IN AFRICA, LOSIM AND PATRICK ARE THE BEST!
Our familiy of 4, including 19 and 22 yo daughter and son embarked on our first Safari and LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT!!
It was truly a magical experience, Losim helped us from the start, always timely, courteous and clear in his advice. We adjusted our itinerary many times over several months to meet the expectations of each member of our family and he never missed a request, never got confused or mixed up dates, travel itineraries, or late minute requests! I felt completely safe and guided through the entire process. We found Kojuu Safaris through the web, did not have a personal recommendation so I was particularly observing of the little details, and I can truly say that the team offers world class service standards. Our guide Patrick was also key to us having the best experience ever! He speaks English fluently, is knowledgeable about all things Africa, Tanzania, wild animals, from simple data to explaining history, political and religious structure and traditions. He is extremely polite and kind, handles beautifully the balance between being part of the group and allowing moments for the family, he kept the car always spot clean and orderly, was super safety oriented, just impeccable all around!
