Incredible!
Working with Losim to organize the trip was fantastic. He was available to answer all our questions and helped us understand everything we would need for the trip ahead of departure.
When we arrived, all the staff of Kojuu Safaris were friendly and welcoming and we felt completely taken care of. The accommodations throughout the trip were exceptional and our guides Noel and Emmanuel were super knowledgeable and enhanced the experience by being able to answer any and all questions we had about the wildlife, the country, the people, the culture, literally anything and everything.
We also hired a professional photographer (Emmanuel) to come along with us and that was one of the best investments we made, making sure we got top quality photos of all the incredible encounters we experienced.
We will remember this trip for the rest of our lives and I cannot recommend working with Kojuu enough.

Incredible planning of every detail
From the very start, Losim at Kojuu Safari went above and beyond for us. We had a group of 8 people interested in going to Tanzania, with 4 of us wanting to do Gorilla trekking in Rwanda before the 12-day Tanzania/Zanzibar trip. Two people from our group were celebrating their 40th birthday, which was the catalyst for all of us to go. Losim took everything in stride and planned the Rwanda trip for the group of 4, coordinating our meetup days in Tanzania, and got us the best guides (we LOVED Noel and Emanuel!) and we also hired a photographer (also named Emanuel, and he was fantastic) for the safari portion of the trip. We told Losim our budget up front and he provided options that were on the lower end but also gave us an idea of what we could get if we paid just a bit more. We decided to go with his suggestion of paying a little more, and we cannot describe how gorgeous and luxurious our accommodations were from start to finish. The value was unbelievable and there's no way we would have been able to navigate it on our own. Losim also made sure we had transfers from each spot, provided options for activities (like an add-on hot air balloon ride that was absolutely worth it), and was on call at all times during our trip for any questions we had. I cannot recommend Kojuu Safaris enough, and I will rave about their expert team and this whole amazing trip they planned for us for a loooong time. Thank you so much!!!

Beyond expectations and safety first at all times
Glory (our kojuu agent) Silas (our safari driver) & Emanuel (our photographer for 3 days safari and serval wildlife. ALL AMAZING. Each and every one of them went above and beyond.
We had alot of changes when we were booking. Glory was kind, understanding, and made everything we wanted work with the budget we needed. There was even a last minute change is our group size and she handled it flawlessly. The entire trip Glory checked in with us to make sure we were safe, understood where we were going next, & answered any questions we had along the way. I did book my own boat tour in zanzibar, and I gave her our company’s information and she made to ensure our safety and we checked in with her when we were back! 5 stars Glory Christopher!
Our safari was 3 days with Silas and Emanuel. Silas was extensively knowledgable, funny, and a well skilled driver. Both of them had their eyes on a swivel to make sure we didn’t miss a moment! Their expertise was invaluable to use. They provided the highest quality experience. We saw all big 5, plus many more. The conversation was easy and we felt well taken care of! Emanuel showed us some of our amazing photos along the way and we never had to worry we missed a shot. This let us experience the animals without having to constantly be on our phones.
Kojuu safaris was a wonderful experience overall. We booked higher level accommodations and it was well worth it. We will be recommending them to our friends and family!

Everything was perfect! Wouldn’t change a thing
This was our first time traveling to Africa, and we did not really know what we were doing or what to expect. We found Kojuu Safaris through safaribookings.com, and we could not be happier! From the first contact to the very end of our trip, our safari consultant, Edson, was truly amazing. Prior to even booking the trip, he worked with us on multiple itinerary options to find the best fit for what we wanted to see and our budget. He was incredibly quick at responding, and he answered all our questions as they arose. We arrived a little late to Arusha, but Edson was still at the hotel to meet us in person. He checked in with us all throughout the trip and made sure everything was going as planned. The accommodations he booked for us were better than we could’ve imagined. When we had an issue at a hotel in Zanzibar after the safari part of our trip concluded, Edson was quick to call the hotel and sort out the issue with our meal plan. I would love to book another trip using Edson and Kojuu!
As for the actual safari, it was a dream. Emmanuel, our safari guide, was the perfect guide for us! He made sure we had the best experience possible, and we saw all of the “Big Five,” even though we didn’t go with the expectation that we’d see everything. We loved spending the week with Emmanuel and getting to know him and a little about his life. Any question we had, whether it was safari related or otherwise, he was happy to discuss.
This is not something that we learned until we had already booked with Kojuu, but it is owned by a Tanzanian woman. We learned that there are a lot of international safari providers and lodge owners while we were in Tanzania, so we were thrilled to learn Kojuu is owned by a Tanzanian.
I would recommend Kojuu to anyone wanting to plan a safari in Tanzania!

Our expectations were far exceeded!!!
Having visited Africa before, we had a plan of what we were wanting to do this time and Losim from Kojuu Safaris was able to create our diverse itinerary precisely!! Losim communicated with us extensively and nothing was a problem to create a trip that exceeded our expectations. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and Losim had planned little surprises for us throughout our 21day journey.
The first part of our trip was climbing Kilimanjaro. This was amazing and our guide Hassan, along with the team of 12 went out of their way to make sure we were going to make it to the summit! Hassan has extensive experience and knowledge and we felt privileged to have him as our guide! The team made sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable!
Our next part of our trip was a safari. We were treated to Ruaha National Park which was away from the more popular places in Tanzania. Our accommodation at Asanja was very special. Situated on the river, it was quiet and very relaxing. The meals were 5 star quality and we were treated like royalty. Due do the bush surrounds, we didn’t see as many animals as the more popular parks, but we still saw what we wanted. David, our safari driver, had amazing knowledge and he loved sharing that with us!
Our final part of our journey was Zanzibar! We stayed in a beautiful resort and enjoyed 4 days of relaxing by the pool or on the beach and eating and drinking. We did a day trip to Stone town which I highly recommend.
Overall, we could not recommend anyone better than Kojuu Safaris. Losim was able to create something amazing and very special! ❤️

One of the best trip of my life
Our safari was absolutely incredible and exceeded all of our expectations! Every detail was perfectly organized, and the entire experience was seamless from beginning to end.
A special thank you to Jesca, who was so helpful, responsive, and kind throughout the whole planning process. She answered all of our questions, helped us with everything we needed, and made us feel confident and well taken care of before and during our trip.
We also want to thank our guide, Patrick, who truly made this safari unforgettable. He was knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and always went above and beyond to give us the best possible experience. Thanks to him, we saw amazing wildlife, learned so much about Tanzania, and created memories that will last a lifetime. He made everything feel perfect.
We couldn’t have asked for a better safari experience. We highly recommend this company to anyone visiting Tanzania. Thank you, Jesca and Patrick, for making our dream trip come true!

Incredible Experience!
Coordinating and planning this trip with Julian was awesome. We were able to tailor our trip based on preferences, budget, amount of time, etc. Julian was always quick to respond to our questions and everything went smoothly. We had a last minute flight delay and were able to postpone our transfer to the airport.
Our trip was 10 days (5 safari, 5 in Zanzibar). Our guide/driver Patrick was incredible, we were actually sad to leave him when we had to go to Zanzibar.
He was super friendly, always willing to adjust the days plans/amount of time spent in the parks, and was so fun to have alongside us.
All of the accommodations were great, the food was delicious, and the service overall was 10/10!
Great experience and will definitely be back!

Unforgettable experience!!
This is our second time going on this safari, 2 years ago we loved it so much we decided to book again. Usually when you do something twice the first one is better but this time was an exception. This trip was somehow better than the last, our guide Emanuel was extremely kind. Throughout our trip he explained everything in such detail, every question he had an answer to and he spotted all the animals with no trouble. We could talk about anything and everything because he was very educated. He adjusted to our needs and made sure we have the best vacation. He had no problem with our time schedule and we truly had a relaxing holiday because of him.
We spend 6 days on the safari, which was perfect as we managed to see all the animals.
I would highly recommend it to anyone, this nature should be seen by everyone and it doesn’t matter how many times you have been in Africa, Kojuu safari will make the experience so special and personal that you will be extremely happy.

Posted on Aug 31, 2026What an absolute compliment! Thank you so much for returning to Kojuu Safaris for your second adventure. It is often said that the first experience is hard to beat, so knowing that this trip was even better than your first means the absolute world to our team!
We will be sure to pass along your fantastic feedback to Emanuel. He is indeed a remarkably educated and thoughtful guide, and his ability to balance incredible wildlife tracking with a relaxed, personalized schedule is what makes traveling with him so special. We are delighted that his deep knowledge and flexibility gave you such a refreshing, stress-free holiday.
Managing to see all the animals across 6 days in the wild is always a magical milestone, but having repeat guests like you confirms why we love what we do.
Thank you for your continued trust in Kojuu Safaris and for reminding everyone that Africa’s nature never gets old. We would be honored to welcome you back for round three whenever the bush calls you again!
Warmest regards,

Safari - Only with Kojuu
We had an incredible safari with Koju Safaris and would book with them again without hesitation!
From our very first contact, Losim was professional, responsive, and made planning our itinerary easy. He answered all of our questions quickly and welcomed us in Arusha with thoughtful safari gifts, flowers, and a personal briefing before our adventure started. It immediately made us feel we had chosen the right company.
Our itinerary was perfectly organized and included a Tarangire walking safari, a game drive in Tarangire, several game drives in the Serengeti, a breathtaking Serengeti hot air balloon safari, a visit to the Ngorongoro Crater, and a visit to a Maasai village. To top it all off, we spent our last few days relaxing in Zanzibar, which was the perfect way to end an unforgettable trip.
The tented camps selected by Koju Safaris were excellent. They were comfortable, beautifully located, and gave us a true safari feeling. One of our favorite memories was lying in bed at night and hearing elephants and other wildlife just outside our tent—an experience we'll never forget.
Our guide, Humphrey, was outstanding. He shared so much about Tanzanian culture and everyday life, drove confidently through the parks, and his knowledge of the wildlife was exceptional. Thanks to his experience, we saw an amazing variety of animals, including a serval cat, and he always seemed to know where the chances of spotting animals like cheetahs were highest. We especially appreciated the respect he showed towards the animals and their natural environment.
Thank you, Losim, Humphrey, and the entire Koju Safaris team for an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend Koju Safaris to anyone looking for a well-organized, authentic, and memorable safari!

Posted on Aug 31, 2026Thank you so much for this amazing review! Reading about your experience with Kojuu Safaris fills our entire team with gratitude and joy.
Losim will be absolutely delighted to read your kind words! He takes great pride in ensuring that every trip is organized seamlessly from the very first inquiry, and starting your adventure with a personal welcome and safari gifts in Arusha is just our way of showing how much we appreciate hosting you.
We will also be sure to share your glowing compliments with Humphrey! His deep respect for wildlife and the natural environment, combined with his keen tracking skills and knowledge of Tanzanian culture, truly set him apart. Spotting a rare serval cat and finding great cheetah sightings are highlight moments, and we are so glad he helped deliver those for you.
Hearing lions or elephants outside your canvas tent at night is the true essence of an authentic African safari, and pairing those wild Serengeti nights with hot air ballooning, Tarangire walking safaris, Ngorongoro, and the quiet beaches of Zanzibar makes for an absolute dream itinerary.
Thank you for your high recommendation and for placing your trust in Kojuu Safaris. We hope the memories of the wild stay with you for a lifetime, and we would love to welcome you back for another adventure whenever you are ready!
Warmest regards,
The Kojuu Safaris Team

An Unforgettable Honeymoon Safari with Kojuu Africa!
My husband, Prodromos, and I chose Kojuu Africa for our honeymoon safari in Tanzania, and looking back, we are so happy with our choice. From the very first conversation until the end of our trip, everything was thoughtfully planned and organised, allowing us to simply relax and enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
From the beginning, Losim was the person who helped us turn our ideas into the perfect itinerary. He organised everything for us — the day-by-day safari programme, accommodations, internal flights, transportation and all the little details in between. Communication was always easy, professional and reassuring. What impressed us even more was that his involvement did not stop once the itinerary was organised. Throughout our journey, he would even call his colleagues to check on us and make sure that everything was going according to plan! At some point we were joking that he felt almost like our father in Tanzania, making sure his "children" were where they were supposed to be and that everything was going smoothly! 😂 That level of care, responsibility and professionalism really made us feel safe and looked after throughout our honeymoon.
We were also very happy to finally meet Losim in person when we arrived in Tanzania. He sat with us and carefully explained everything we needed to know about the days ahead and made sure we felt comfortable and prepared. Kojuu also surprised us with safari hats and T-shirts, and I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers together with a lovely honeymoon note from the company. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a wonderful way to begin our adventure. These personal touches made us feel that we were not simply another booking.
And then came our seven incredible safari days with our amazing guide, Erick!
Erick was not just our safari guide — he became our company and companion throughout the adventure. Spending seven days together meant sharing so many incredible moments, conversations, laughs and, of course, unforgettable wildlife sightings.
And somehow, I even managed to fall asleep during some of our safari drives — right in the middle of the famous “African massage”! 😂 Anyone who has experienced those bumpy safari roads will understand why this became a running joke! I think that says a lot about how comfortable and safe we felt with Erick. Between searching for lions, leopards and everything else the African wilderness had waiting for us, there I was occasionally sleeping peacefully while being bounced around in the safari jeep! 😂
His knowledge of the animals, the parks and the environment was impressive, and he was constantly looking for opportunities to make our safari special. We were incredibly lucky to see the Big Five, but our sightings went far beyond that. We even encountered rarer animals, including a serval and an African armadillo/pangolin-type sighting, among so many other beautiful animals.
One thing we particularly appreciated about Erick was that he didn't simply follow the crowds. Whenever possible, especially in the Serengeti, he would search for quieter areas away from the large groups of safari vehicles. There were moments when there were almost no other jeeps around us, giving us the opportunity to quietly observe and photograph the wildlife and truly feel immersed in the African wilderness. As someone who loves photography, these moments were particularly special to me.
Every day was different. Every drive brought another surprise. Sometimes it wasn't even about finding a particular animal — it was simply driving through those endless landscapes, watching the sunrise, observing wildlife in its natural environment and realising how privileged we were to experience it.
Our accommodation throughout the trip was also excellent. We stayed at Kibo Palace Hotel Arusha, Conserve Safari Camp – Tarangire, Manyara's Secret, Dove Serengeti Camp and Marera Valley Lodge, and each place contributed something different to our experience. We especially loved experiencing the hospitality, atmosphere and Swahili food along the way.
I have several dietary restrictions, which can sometimes make travelling a little stressful, but I was extremely happy with how seriously and respectfully my requirements were handled. At every lodge, tented camp and hotel, the staff made an effort to prepare food that I could safely eat while still allowing me to enjoy the local cuisine. I never felt uncomfortable or like my dietary requirements were an inconvenience, and I truly appreciated that.
We also want to give special recognition to the wonderful people who handled our transfers throughout the journey. Jackson, who drove us to Arusha, Jafar, our driver in Zanzibar, and Abraham, together with another lovely driver whose name unfortunately escapes us, were all fantastic. Their personalities and friendliness added another layer to our experience. Everyone made us feel welcome, but we especially have to mention Jafar — from the moment we met him, he made us feel incredibly comfortable and welcomed in Zanzibar. He was warm, friendly, easy to talk to and simply a pleasure to be around. These transfers could have been just transportation from one place to another, but because of the people Kojuu works with, they became another enjoyable part of our journey. Every person we encountered through the company treated us with kindness and genuine hospitality.
After our safari adventure, our honeymoon continued in Zanzibar, where we stayed at TUI BLUE Bahari Zanzibar. It was the perfect ending to such an adventurous week — beautiful, luxurious and relaxing. After days of safari drives, it was wonderful to slow down, enjoy the ocean, the resort and simply relax together. We loved our stay and enjoyed every moment there.
If there is one thing we would personally change, it would be our visit to the Maasai village. We absolutely respect Maasai culture and were genuinely interested in learning about their traditions and way of life. However, our experience at the particular village we visited felt quite commercialised. During the visit, there were repeated situations involving contributions — first for the community, then the school, followed by being encouraged to purchase items from the market. Although nobody directly forced us to give money or buy anything, the way it was presented created a certain amount of pressure and made the experience feel more tourist-oriented than culturally authentic. This was related specifically to our experience at that particular village and does not change our opinion of Kojuu Africa or the rest of our safari. If we could repeat the trip, this is simply the one activity we would probably skip or replace with something else.
Apart from that, our experience was truly wonderful.
A safari in Tanzania had already been something we were incredibly excited about, but experiencing it as part of our honeymoon made it even more meaningful. Kojuu Africa helped create memories that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.
A huge thank you to Losim for organising everything, answering our endless questions, meeting us personally, checking behind the scenes that everything was running smoothly and making us feel so welcomed and cared for from beginning to end.
And an equally huge thank you to Erick for seven unforgettable days, for his patience, knowledge, humour, enthusiasm and determination to make every safari drive worthwhile. Thank you for searching for wildlife with us, taking us away from the crowds whenever possible and sharing this incredible adventure with us. You were not simply our guide — you became part of our honeymoon story.
And finally, thank you to Jackson, Jafar, Abraham and every other person working behind the scenes who played a part in making the journey run so smoothly. A great safari company is not only about the itinerary or the places you visit — it is also about the people you meet along the way, and Kojuu surrounded us with genuinely lovely people.
From the landscapes of Tarangire and Manyara to the endless plains of the Serengeti, the wildlife, the people we met, the beautiful lodges, the food, the laughs and finally the relaxation of Zanzibar — this honeymoon was an experience we will never forget.
Thank you, Kojuu Africa, Losim, Erick and the entire team, for helping us experience the beauty of Tanzania in such a special way. Hope to see you again!
Asante sana! 🇹🇿❤️
With love and appreciation,
Evelyn & Prodromos

Posted on Aug 31, 2026Congratulations again on your marriage, Evelyn & Prodromos! 🥂🇹🇿❤️
Asante sana for taking the time to share such an extraordinarily detailed, warm, and thoughtful review. Reading about your journey—from the quiet moments in the Serengeti to falling asleep through the legendary "African massage"—brought the biggest smiles to our entire team!
We are so glad to know that Losim took such good care of you. Hearing that he felt like your "Tanzanian father" checking in behind the scenes is the ultimate compliment! He takes immense pride in going above and beyond, and he was delighted to meet you both in person, welcome you with flowers and gifts, and ensure you felt right at home.
We will certainly pass along your wonderful praise to Erick! His deep passion for nature, patience, and secret routes away from the crowds make him a true gem. Finding those secluded spaces for a photographer to capture the wild in peace is art in itself, and spotting the Big Five alongside rare sightings like a serval made your seven days together truly magical.
It is also fantastic to hear that your dietary needs were handled seamlessly at every camp and lodge, and that Jafar, Jackson, Abraham, and the rest of our transfer team made you feel so welcomed from the mainland all the way to your relaxing beach stay at TUI BLUE Bahari in Zanzibar.
Thank you, too, for your candid, constructive feedback regarding the Maasai village visit. We deeply value your honest perspective on how the experience felt a bit too commercialized. Feedback like yours is essential for us as we continuously refine our cultural visits to ensure they remain authentic, respectful, and comfortable for our guests.
Thank you both for choosing Kojuu Africa to host such a monumental milestone in your lives. You arrived as guests and left as family, and the doors of Tanzania will always be open for you!
Karibu sana (You are most welcome),
The Kojuu Africa Team
