Trip of a lifetime to Botswana and Zimbabwe!
Our trip to Victoria Falls, Chobe, and the Okavango Delta was truly the trip of a lifetime! We loved putting our own itinerary together just for our group of five family members. Exec Africa offered great suggestions we would not have known about. They were flexible, and were able to accommodate all that we wanted to do in the time we had available. They chose great accommodations which were comfortable and had good food. Transfers to and from the airport and between accommodations throughout our trip were seamless. We felt very well taken care of. During the Safari we had great game drivers who helped us spot all the animals. Lee, our guide, was very knowledgeable and a great match for our group. I would recommend Exec Africa to anyone looking to visit this part of the world.

A company that provided exactly what I wanted, let me tweak things and provided an excellent guide
Having struggled to find a UK based company that did more than take people to Victoria Falls through Google I found Exec Travel, based in Victoria Falls. My first email was responded to quickly by their reservations consultant, Manuel. I would be travelling on my own, and having learned what I was after Manuel suggested their 9 day Zimbabwe Tour which covered all I wanted to do. I asked to add another day in Bulawayo (Railway Museum a must !) and some extra activities in Victoria Falls - I also wanted to start in Harare rather than Victoria Falls. These requests were added to the tour. I was happy. I kept in contact with Manuel throughout the process, sending the odd email every now and then. He always replied positively and conversationally rather than just 'office speak' type responses. As it got near to departure Manuel told me that he was going to leave the office and be my driver/guide. I was very pleased as we had got to know each other as much as you can over email. He met me in the arrival hall at Harare Airport and the road trip began. We clicked from day 1. The trip unfolded as expected, Zimbabwe proving to be as wonderful as I had hoped. However Manuel made the trip that much better. We got on so well, nothing was too much for him, he often did that little bit extra. We shared our life stories, we laughed, we suffered the 'difficult' road conditions together and the icing on the cake was in the evenings, as a solo traveller, rather than me eating alone he ate dinner with me, allowing us to laugh some more. The vehicle we used had WIFI, a welcome if unexpected surprise. The hotels were very good, the local guides used were of the highest quality. Was it value for money ? I have little to base an answer on ! I was happy with the cost of I wouldn't have gone ! Would I go back to Zimbabwe ? In a heartbeat. Would I use Exec Africa Travel again/recommend them to others ? Undoubtedly !

Truly exceeded our expectations!
From the very beginning, our experience with Exec Africa Travel was exceptional. The itinerary they prepared for us was perfectly tailored to our needs, preferences and expectations.
What impressed me most before the trip was Manuel’s incredible responsiveness. I must have asked dozens of questions, and I always received an almost immediate, helpful and detailed answer. He also supported us with all the necessary information, including visa process, and provided plenty of practical information that made preparing for the trip so much easier.
The attention to detail was visible from the moment we arrived. We were welcomed with personalized gifts – water bottles with our names and our favourite animals on them. Such a small touch, but it immediately made us feel that this trip had been prepared specifically for us.
And then there were our guides: Joseph and Canaan. They were absolutely wonderful! After spending 9 days together, we feel they are more like friends than guides. They did so much more than simply take us from point A to point B. They shared their knowledge, stories and passion for the country, and constantly made sure that everyone was enjoying the experience. They paid attention to individual needs and preferences, genuinely cared about how we were feeling.
A dedicated WhatsApp group made communication throughout the trip extremely easy and allowed us to stay in touch and deal with any questions or changes immediately.
What made the biggest difference, however, was the feeling that they genuinely cared about our experience. We never felt like just another group of tourists following a fixed itinerary. There was flexibility, personal attention and a real desire to make every day special.
I chose this company somewhat by chance, without really knowing what to expect. They truly exceeded my expectations and played a huge part in making this journey so memorable.
I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for a professional, responsive and genuinely caring local tour operator.

Lee is extremely knowledgeable and resourceful.
Everything was amazing. We had such a great time on all of our excursions. Accommodations were nice, food was good, and the experience was unforgettable. Our guide, Lee, was very helpful. He was punctual, knowledgeable, resourceful, and able to pull strings so we could adjust our day to day plans as things came up that we wanted to do. Not to mention, he also helped me retrieve my bag from the airport that was missing for a few days!

Very thoughtful and knowledgeable tour operator and guides
We completed a 8 day tour starting in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe and ended in the Okavango Delta (Maun, Botswana). Communication with Manuel building the itinerary and gathering all the necessary information was seamless. Manuel was quick to respond and always gave thorough instructions to make the preparation as easy as possible. Arriving in Victoria Falls, we were kindly greeted and picked up by our tour guide, Likhwa (Lee). One of our checked bags did not arrive with us in Victoria Falls, but Lee and the Exec Tours team were very helpful in making sure it was sent from Johannesburg, retrieved from Victoria Falls, and brought to us in Botswana when it arrived.
The entire tour from Victoria Falls to Maun was amazing. We went on a very relaxing dinner cruise along the Zambezi River where we saw elephants and hippos. We got a great view of Victoria Falls from all along the Zimbabwe side. We went on two game drives and a river cruise in Chobe where we got really close to many animals. We saw many animals in Chobe National Park including lions, elephants, giraffes, honey badgers, and zebras just to name a few. Lee and all of our tour guides always had facts about each animal and would come back with answers if they didn’t know while on the game drive. We stayed at Elephant Sands Lodge where the elephants would come to drink at the watering hole right in the middle of the lodge. Elephants were there all night and was fun to look out at them playing and drinking in the water. Next in Gweta, we went on a Meerkat viewing tour where we got really close to the Meerkats. The guide on the tour was super familiar with the Meerkats that we were able to lay down near their burrow and they would climb up on our legs for a view of the surrounding area. Heading to Maun, we wanted to change our last few days to get another game drive in Moremi Game Reserve. Lee was very helpful in accommodating our change and was able to do it in a few hours. We ended up seeing two male lions right after they finished eating their buffalo lunch. On our last day, we finished the trip with a peaceful ride on a Mokoro. We were able to see elephants, zebras, wildebeests, and hippos (from a safe distance).
All of the lodges we stayed in were very clean, had friendly, accommodating staff, and had great food for breakfast, packed lunches and dinner. Lee was very interactive with us throughout the whole tour, answering our hundreds of questions about animals, culture, and history. If you get Lee as your guide, you will be in great hands.
This private tour was very reasonable for the price especially compared to other tour companies that will charge similarly for a group trip. We were able to make it our own and leave early or stay late if we wanted better access to the animals. I’d highly recommend booking with Exec Africa Tours.
