Dissapointing
We chose big time safari for our Safari on the class called budget mode so of course we did not expect great luxuries but unfortunately we had so many problems we wanted to share the experience.
The total days of safari were 11 days.
The worst episode was the second day in Serengeti where the car just broke down, old jeeps are used and you will have many chances that this will happens to you. The whole day was lost and nothing was seen that day.
After the Safari was over once in Nairobi we did complain at Big time safari offices to get some compensation as the service offered was not given to us.
The manager, John, was careless and unprofessional as he was more interested in what was happening on the TV than on our complain. He made us waste a lot of time in the office for nothing. The discussion ended up telling us that under his point of view we were not humans as we did not understand his problems and than worst would have been to die in the safari. Once he has your money in his pocket his behavior changes he won't call you back or he will tell you he is busy in some meeting.
Other problems we had was the guide in Tanzania was bad no interest on us. The camp in Amboseli was dirty and no mosquito net was given in one of the beds.
The picnic meals very poor some of the days.
In summary the safari was ok because the landscape and the animals are great but sure thing we would chose different company for a safari.
Great service from airport arrival to departure
Even if I checked the route from the airport to the hotel in the guidebook, it was a very vague description, so he said that he would be able to pick me up if I consulted with the tour company. It was the correct answer to take part in the Masai Mara Park walk at the beginning, and I'm glad that I was able to correct the time difference when climbing Kilimanjaro later. Anyway, on both tours, I was impressed by the size and beauty of nature that I could never experience in Japan. For those who are traveling on their own, I would recommend Africa instead of Asia. Another dimension.
Pick-up on the way back. I've been taken care of by a tour company and I can't get up. I was able to find good places to exchange money and places to kill time in Kenya.

Big Time Safaris agents we’re very professional. We worked with Steve Okoll who’s communication was superb over WhatsApp. He not only organized an awesome safari for us but also stayed in touch during our remaining time in Nairobi and arranged transfer for us back to the airport days after our safari ended. Our guide Geoffrey was awesome as well and tracked a male lion on his own (first and only van to sighting). I can recommend safari with Big Time Safaris
I chose the 6 day safari with Big Time Safaris because the price and reviews were good and I wasn't disappointed. Martha from the office was helpful with additional issues because due to insufficient number of people the plan of my safari was changed but I finally saw everything. Though it took 1 day longer. The guide Jackson has a lot of knowledge and willingness to show animals. We saw a successful lion hunt. I guess I'll never see anything like that again. the end of February was also a good time because we saw a lot of young animals.

Affordable and reliable Safari tour
I and my boyfriend did the 7 days Safari tour in December 2019 and we are really happy with the experience. It was our first Safari.
We saw a lot of different animals and environments, doing several interesting extra activities (we suggest mountain biking in Hell's Gate, boat tour in Nakuru and The Masai Village visit). Our driver/guide Jeff was exceptional: he was friendly and helpful, with long-standing experience. Please note that some accommodations/meals in the budget safari (the one we chose) are quite basic and sometimes a bit wild (like the tented camp in Amboseli)... but of course, that's part of the adventure ;)
Also, it was positive to us the fact that communications with Big Time Safari Ltd, before our arrival in Kenya, were constant and clear: Martha has been very patient in answering all our questions, satisfying our requests (like the presence of vegetarian meals) and evaluating with us different Safari tour options.
