An Unforgettable 5-Day Safari: Professional, Expert Guide, and Perfect Logistics!
We went on a 5-day safari (Naivasha, Nakuru, and Masai Mara) with Splendid Vacations. From the start, Maryann was super kind, helpful, and thorough. Once we arrived, we met our driver/guide, Rono, whom we can only thank and recommend to anyone who wants to book with them. Rono answered all our questions expertly and is an excellent driver. He managed to show us all the animals we wanted to see, letting us take all the photos we wanted.
Highly recommended!

Great Well Organised Safari
Splendid Vacations did a great job organising our safari. They listened to our requirements and budget and suggested great options for us. Despite visiting Kenya and Lake Naivasha before' the Crescent Island visit suggested by Splendid was a real highlight. Our vehicle was well driven with a knowledgeable driver and we had great animal sightings. Splendid vacations communicated well and quickly. We have done lots of safaris and we would thoroughly recommend them and use them again.

Professional and high quality
We had an amazing trip from start to finish with Splendid Vacations. This was our first safari and the tour we were provided with encompassed all of the animals we wanted to see and we had a great experience. Our driver, Willie, was an expert on all of the wildlife and even the plants that we came across. He was great at getting us into prime viewing positions and clearly had plenty of experience.
The hotels selected were great and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was buffet style and really delicious each day. Our rooms were all clean and were often in really cool places- with animals roaming in or nearby the grounds, or with great panoramic views.
The additional tours were also really good. The boat tour we took to see the various aquatic creatures and hippos was excellent, as well as the walking safari that followed. We visted a Maasai village which was also great.
Our trip finished with a fantastic stay in Diani Beach. The Baobab Beach resort, that the Splendid Vacations had suggested, continued to demonstrate the great service and quality that we had experienced prior in Kenya.
Our organiser, Rachael, helped us with everything- from planning our trip and what to expect, to providing reassurance and advice for any concerns we had. She quickly resolved any issues that we had and demonstrated great professionalism and service. She also helped us customise parts of our trip to fit what we wanted.

Excellent
I had a great time at the Mara and Lake Nakuru
James was an excellent driver and guide. The Hotels were good, food was probably the weakest point but everything else, service, location were very good.
I really enjoyed interacting with Rachael, the travel agent. I appreciated the clarity around the plan and speed of response.
I’d definitely book through Splendid again 🙂

Kenya (Massai Mara) - Guide: James
We had James for our first stop of our 10 day journey for Kenya and Tanzania. I believe he was the BEST first guide we could have gotten. Immediately was so friendly and personable, cracking jokes the moment we met. He made our family have an incredible time. Was very knowledge of the animals and was hands down an ELITE driver! What felt like 3 days with him felt like 2 weeks in the best way! I miss him everyday and am excited for the all future travelers that get the chance to hang out with him :). You tend to spend a lot of time with the drivers and get to know them well. I am very glad we crossed paths with James and hope whoever reads this next gets the chance to as well!

Experience of a Lifetime!
Splendid vacations put together the most incredible trip for us! Our Safari guide James picked us up at the Airport hotel and immediately began building rapport making us feel comfortable and ready to enjoy our first safari under his guidance. From his excellent driving to knowledge about animals and true desire to make sure we had the most incredible experience, we couldn’t have asked for more! All of the accommodations in which we stayed exceeded our expectations and the hospitality level was so high with everyone being so friendly and asking what they could do to make our stay most enjoyable. We will certainly be recommending James, our tour director Maryann and splendid vacations, to our friends and family.

An Amazing Exoerience in Tanzania!
We began our Tanzanian experience in the Serengeti under the expert guidance of Jackson, our highly skilled and personable safari guide. Jackson's love of the Serengeti was immediately apparent as he excitedly pointed out the plant and wildlife. He also shared some interesting stories from his days as a Mount Kilimanjaro guide. Jackson also handled gathering all the supplies for our picnic lunches and stayed with us and assisted both times we needed to go through customs. During our time in Tanzania we stayed in wonderful huts, as well as a beautiful lodge, where in both places, staff members came in nightly to turn down the bed, spray for mosquitos and secure the mosquito netting around the bed. As all meals were included (and delicious) we literally had nothing to worry about throughout our stays. After the Serengeti, we traveled to the Ngorongoro Crater which was so different from the Serengeti but equally incredible. This entire tour exceeded all of our expectations! The hospitality level of Splendid vacations cannot be beat. This whole vacation was also a fantastic value, very reasonable prices so that we could even splurge on things like a hot air balloon tour over the Serengeti followed by a bush breakfast. We are completely thrilled with our entire safari vacation and cannot recommend it more highly!

Nice Safari in Kenya
We did six days safari in different parks in Kenya. Initially, we contacted this company for safari information. James quickly sent us several offers; however, I must say that after payment, communication was minimal. For a moment, we worried we were dealing with an unprofessional company. We arrived at the airport, and James was waiting at the exit. I don't think he's a very outgoing person; he didn't move from his spot until we approached him, much less make any attempt to help us with our luggage. Fortunately, Joshua, our driver, arrived, and I must say he's the complete opposite.Joshua is a very empathetic, communicative, and patient person. He drove very well without speeding or putting us at risk. He explained each park and each road to us and clearly knows his job very well. We enjoyed every place and every lodge. Even on our last day, before heading to the airport, he took us to eat at an amazing steakhouse. The car was in excellent condition and very clean. Overall, we can recommend this company, but their customer service could be improved.

Brenda can arrange the tour like what you want.
We asked for a natural place to stay that wasn’t overly polished but had delicious food, and the lodge they recommended was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. There are only ten cottages, so it felt very private. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the meals were full of vegetables from the organic farm on the property.
For the tour as well, once we shared our schedule and preferences, they arranged everything so it wouldn’t be too hectic. Our guide was also sincere and a wonderful person.

Kind and helpful people
My girlfriend and I had a very nice private trip organised by Splendid Vacations.
The booking process was generally smooth.
There had been an issue however with the first payment, which basically was nobodies fault, and a very fair solution was given by Splendid.
On our arrival in Nairobi it was easy to find our transportation to the airport hotel, which was of very high standard.
The next morning our safari really started and we were picked up by our guide/driver Masila, in a comfortable off road vehicle.
Masila has been a great guide, taking very good care of us, always smiling, very flexible and gave us all the time we needed.
When we suggested we would like to do a very early sunrise safari the next morning instead of what was originally planned, that was no problem at all.
One day, when going to the next place in the morning, he suggested to make a little detour in the park first, so we could maybe see a rhino (which we had not seen yet), and guess what.. we did see not one, but a total of three rhinos on our way!
Also all the accommodations we stayed at have met or exceeded expectations, both in locations and staff.
Our personal preference however, turned out to be the tented camps, as they had a nice relaxed and open atmosphere, yet very comfortable.
All in all we had an amazing trip and would definitely do it again!
