Well organized with a great human touch
The destinations and accommodations were great (including the food), the itinerary was well thought out. Our guide Timothy took good care of us, always attentive to our needs and preferences; he was also knowledgeable about the itinerary, the place, and the animals. It did not hurt that he was very well connected with everybody, from park rangers to hotel stuff, which made everything smooth. Amazing value!

Excellent Service and an Incredible Guide
We really appreciate James' help in planning our 10-day trip through the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli, Tsavo East, and Taita Hills, as well as his professionalism throughout the entire booking process.
We can honestly say that everything went perfectly, and we couldn't be happier with the experience.
The vehicle, accommodation, food, itinerary, and timing were all excellent. Every part of the trip was well organized and exceeded our expectations.
Thanks to our guide, Rono, we were lucky enough to see many rare animals. He was always patient and gave us plenty of time to enjoy each sighting without ever making us feel rushed. His knowledge, experience, and passion made the safari even more special.

Our safari through Kenya was absolutely incredible, and a huge part of that was because of our guide, Timothy. From the moment he picked us up until the end of our adventure, he was professional, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in making sure we had the best experience possible.
Timothy has an amazing ability to spot wildlife that we never would have seen on our own, and thanks to his skill and dedication, we were fortunate enough to see the Big Five and so much more. Beyond his expertise, he took the time to teach us about the animals, the ecosystems, local culture, and life in Kenya, making every day both exciting and educational.
What truly set Timothy apart was his kindness and personality. He quickly felt less like a guide and more like a friend sharing his country with us. He was always attentive to our comfort and safety, adjusted plans when needed, answered our endless questions with a smile, and made every moment enjoyable.

The breakdown of cost will be the new norm
I like Splendid Vacation because they provide the breakdown of all costs: hotel, park fee, car etc. With the transparent breakdown, I understand the cost. I can adjust my travel according to my budget. The hotel cost is also comparable with booking etc.
The agent Sammy is also super helpful. His answer is always timely and detailed. Our guide Wilfred is also an expert in wildlife.

The perfect Kenia Safari
It starts with the preparations and looking at the extensive itinerary. Communication before and during the journey is always good and Rachel really thought with me what to choose.
The safari itself was amazing. The driver/guide was very experienced and showed us the best spots and we have seen all the animals.
The car is very comfortable and strong and brings you everywhere.

We just want to share our sincere gratitude to Splendid vacations. From the moment of our arrival and pick up to our drop off and final day, we had nothing but 5 star, exceptional service and hospitality. Our drivers Rono, Tony and Julius were outstanding! They were all knowledgeable about the parks, history of everything we did and of course, about the animals. They worked very had to ensure that we got to see and know about everything we encountered. Our drivers were exceptionally friendly, all smiles and always willing to be of service. Without them, this trip would have not have been as spectacular as it was. Our accommodations were all top notch with excellent amenities and some were in the national parks so that were as close to nature as possible. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a safari adventure of a lifetime. We leave back home with our hearts full of all the beauty that Kenya and Tanzania had to offer us.

Best of the best
Just ending the Kenya portion of our trip and very sad to say goodbye to Alex. What’s an amazing guide. Found ALL the animals and was always able to position for the best close up shots. We saw everything the Mara had to offer thanks to Alex. Many key moments and sightings we were the only vehicle there. Alex is always flexible and makes sure that you are getting the adventure you wanted. Vehicle was fantastic and comfortable and even included a refrigerated cooler with water. The pop up is a must. Everything else that Splendid did for us was well organized. We’ve been spoiled. We’ll miss you Alex, thank you!

Great service all round
We started booking our holiday over 6 months before travelling and decided to employ Splendid Vacations.
We wanted a 4 day Safari of the Masai Mara followed by a 4 day Safari of the Serengeti with a few days break in between. Sammy was brilliant from start to finish, working with us to nail down our exact requirements and the price breakdown was transparent with no hidden surprises.
All communication was clear and dealt with promptly.
The safaris were amazing, with the guides offering a huge range of knowledge. Julius was a stand out guide, he was outstanding in working hard to locate the best sightings, very courteous and helpful.
Overall, a really great experience.

Great stay recommendations and guides
Splendid vacations was a great company to book our tour with. They were very responsive from the start and took note of every detail and requirements. The stays they proposed were of high quality and had great overall location to maximize time in the park. The guides they provided were friendly and helpful and had great eye to spot wildlife which resulted in us having great game drives all throughout the trip.
James and Eddie were great in both legs of our trip in Kenya and Tanzania.
