Thanks Magical Gorilla Adventures for once in a lifetime experience
I had the most incredible experience with Magical Gorilla Adventures during my gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi. From the very beginning, their team was professional, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable. The booking process was seamless, with clear communication and helpful guidance on what to expect and how to prepare for the trek. Thanks to Kolo and the team. Highly recommend them!

A sister reunion that could not have turned out better!
I began planning this vacation to Rwanda, Tanzania, and Zanzibar-Pemba Island with Aina from Magical Gorilla Adventures almost two years ago. After reading a variety of company reviews on Trip Advisor, I was content to begin with their company.
From the beginning, Aina was personable, efficient, and responsive. When I protested the cost of her first suggested package price, telling her that our group wasn't looking for luxury, she quickly made the switch and cut the price in half. And the accommodations she booked for us were still charming, clean, and more than comfortable. Our favorite place in Rwanda was the 5V Lodge, and the Matawi Serengeti Lodge in Tanzania. But we enjoyed all of our stays immensely.
I can't say enough about our drivers/guides. Innocent (Rwanda) and Godfrey (Tanzania) became part of our family during this time together. We laughed so much with them, shared so many stories, and they were so good at their jobs, that we will never forget their contribution to a very special sister's vacation!
When Aina went on maternity leave early in 2025, Kolo took over our booking and carried it off like a champion. He stayed in tough with our drivers, making sure we made our flight times, that our hotels were expecting us, and that our drivers were the first to know if the itinerary had changed. We are deeply thankful for the crew from MGA. They made our sister's reunion the best time it could possibly be!

Thrilling experience of coming face to face with the wild
The was our 26day tour in Uganda 9days, Rwanda 5days, Tanzania 7days and Zanzibar 4days, our first visit to East Africa. To start with, the communication with Magical Gorilla Adventures, first with Aina and then with Kolo, were very efficient and gave immediate reliable feedback to all our questions before and during the whole journey. We even had the pleasure to meet face to face with the people behind Magical Gorilla Adventures (Aina and the new born, Kolo and Ivarin (I hope I got her name right). The full board itinerary included everything from permits and entries, accommodation, internal flights, private guides, and land transportation. The itinerary was personalized to our requests and our main focus to visit Uganda was to see the Gorilla and Chimpanzee, but we had the occasion to see what Uganda has to offer, with our guide Eddie, from the source of the Nile, waterfalls, wild life, communities, great scenery through the country, passing through the equator and the wonderful smiles of all the children walking to school. Then we continued our journey to Rwanda to witness the land of 1000 hills and golden monkey and eye opening visit to the Dian Fossey and Kigali Genocide Memorial with our great guide Eddie from Uganda who was very experienced, helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Then we had our first internal flight to Serengeti from Rwanda and this was a fascinating experience in itself. Serengeti didn't disappoint at all and had the occasion of see the great migration in action, the big five, lots of animals and birds and some really rare ones too with the guided expertise of our guide Emma who was very experienced and knowledgeable to say the least. He guided us through Northern and Central Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater and Tarangire National Park. These two guides Eddie and Emma where the cherry on the cake as they really added value to our East Africa experience. Then we flew to Zanzibar for some relaxing time, while enjoying the beautiful clear waters. Magical Gorilla made sure to make our dream holiday as enjoyable as possible till the end. Magical in every aspect.

They skipped the last game drive day 😢😢😢
I really enjoyed the lodgings that we stayed in for the tour, really beautiful and relaxing. However, we were meant to get 3 game drives. On the last day we just drove out of the park without the final game drive which was really disappointing

Magical!
This company was incredible in terms of pre departure communication, transportation and the experience itself. My guide Eddie taught me so much about the Ugandan way of life and culture. I enjoyed my talks with him as much as the amazing gorilla experience. The gorillas were a once in a lifetime experience! I don’t think words or even photos can probably do it justice. Book the tour and use this company- you won’t ever forget this magical experience!

Professional and reliable
We booked our gorilla trekking activity with Magical Gorilla Adventures on the recommendation of a friend who had previously used their services. We worked with Kolo, who was incredibly helpful and professional throughout the planning process. He was always accessible via WhatsApp and quick to respond whenever we had questions or needed advice.
Everything - from the gorilla trekking itself to the lodge accommodation was seamlessly arranged and exceeded our expectations. We had a truly memorable and well-organized experience.
We highly recommend Magical Gorilla Adventures to anyone looking for a reliable and experienced agency to handle their gorilla trekking adventure.

Awesome Safari and Gorilla Trekking Trip
It was an amazing trip with Magical Gorilla adventures. They planned a fantastic itinerary based on what I wanted to do and see while in Africa. Our guide Musa was great from start to finish and took great care of us in all ways, shapes and forms. He was informative and educated on the gorillas, the safari, the local culture and the animals. Great driver as well, knows the roads in and out as he is local and from there. We had a blast with him for 5 days. Bonus was he takes pictures of you each day and sends them over daily which we didn’t expect, makes it more enjoyable for you to just take everything in and not worry about taking your own photos. Being close to the gorillas was super neat. Highly recommend this tour group, great experience!

An unforgettable trip, made absolutely seamless by Kolo from Magical Gorilla Adventures.
i would like to forward our gratitude to Kolo and Magical Gorilla Adventures team effort, hard work and kindness. Also, i would like to pass my gradtitude to Robert, Eric and Wachira. They are all kind and helpful.
The Gorilla trekking was stunning, the cruise trip was unforgetable experience, the lions and leopard that we have seen were excited. Not just only in Uganda but in Masai Mara was giving us the great experiences of witnessing the great migration as we expected.
the company is reliable and can be trusted with professional service.

It was truly magical
We visited Uganda july 3rd 2025. We booked about 8 months ahead of time. The communication and recommendations in the meantime were great. Aina and Kolo answered all questions graciously. Upon arrival at airport we were picked up and transported to the ViaVia lodge at 1 in the morning and the great staff there had waited on us and had a dinner waiting. They were gracious and kind. Tehn onto Isunga lodge and greeted from the nicest people at a fabulous lodge. Edie our guide on the way up was very knowledgeable. The next day we did chimp trekking and the chimps were within feet and the rangers were great. Next we went to Elephant Hab lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The staff was fabulous and special thanks to Barbara and Claire as they went above and beyond as my wife had become nauseated on the way in. The view from the room over the Savannah where elephants hang out was breath taking. The monkeys in the trees a bonus. The lodge was spectacular. We went on safari the next day and saw many elephants, wart hogs, 4 lions and many ungulates. Truly amazing. Next on to Ichumbi Gorilla lodge at Bwindi. Truly the height of the trip. The lodge again was fabulous and beyond expectation. We trekked to see the gorillas with the rangers and got within feet of the silver back and mama gorillas with babys. So surreal. Edie was our guide and cannot say enough good things about him. Great driver, knowledgeable and always up beat and smiling. He is the greatest guide I have ever had. To sum it up, its a great company, their pick of lodges was impeccable and the tour was very well planned. I cannot recommend them enough. PS get a porter for the gorilla trek

Attentive
Our safari trip to Uganda was absolutely incredible, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, Eddie, our guide, was exceptional. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a seamless adventure, taking care of every detail and making sure we had everything we needed. His attentiveness made all the difference!
One of the standout highlights was The Bush Lodge, without a doubt, our favorite stop. We were lucky enough to spot an elephant right on the grounds, along with hippos and countless other wildlife. The layout of the lodge was stunning, and the food was fantastic. If we had more time, we would've loved to stay longer, but our tight schedule meant we had to move on.
Another stand out was Rushaga Gorilla Haven Lodge, where we were treated to breathtaking views and exceptional service. The staff made us feel right at home, and the experience of waking up to the beauty of Uganda each morning was unforgettable.
We also had a memorable experience at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, which tied for second on our list of favorites. Watching a baby rhino and its mother pass by our tent was a surreal moment, and the tent itself was cozy and charming. We sat on the porch, listening to a thunderstorm as it rolled in, creating an atmosphere that was both peaceful and awe-inspiring. The shower was fantastic, and the entire room was one of the most memorable stays on our journey. Plus, the rhino experience itself, guided by a knowledgeable ranger, was fascinating.
The Ruwenzori View Guesthouse was another great spot, but the other lodges truly stole the show. We wished we stayed closer to where the chimps were, it seemed silly to travel an hour there and back. We LOVED the village tour. Our guide Patrick was amazing and made our experience memorable. We celebrated my birthday with the banana man and it was so much fun. Learning to weave baskets, make coffee, and listening to the community doctor were also highlights of the day.
However, we did have a less-than-ideal experience at the Red Chilli Rest Camp. The rooms felt a bit unkempt, and we noticed that the cleaning service was lacking. The water had a strange smell, and the overall vibe didn’t match the other lodges. We also had to go to a counter to order food, whereas we loved the home-cooked meals and family-style dining at the other locations.
Throughout the trip, we were lucky enough to encounter some of the most beautiful wildlife and capture stunning photos. So many of our friends on social media reached out to ask about the tour group we used, and without hesitation, I passed along Gorilla Magical Adventures' information and highly recommended Eddie as the guide to book with.
Uganda is truly a hidden gem, and our safari exceeded all expectations. It was, hands down, one of the best birthdays I've ever had! I can't recommend this trip enough. If you're considering a safari in Uganda, don’t hesitate to book with Gorilla Magical Adventures!
