Excellent!! Outstanding!!!
My son and I thoroughly enjoyed having 3 safaris’ with Kentau Safari in January 2026. Dominic coordinated my trip and he was top notch in coaching me on what safaris to take as well as managing my trips with the local lodges and the related payments. At first, I was reluctant to hire a local safari operator (Kentau), due to all the illicit scamming going on throughout the world. But Dominic provided 3 references and they all checked out positively including a recent certificate from the Kenyan Tourist agency. With that in mind, I can save lots of time for future interested parties that Kentau Safari’s is LEGITIMATE and an outstanding tour operator. Our guide, driver, coach and friend Fred, did an excellent job in navigating the many potholes, speed bumps, trucks and regular rough safari bumps. Fred was extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the safari’s; birding, mammal identifications, Kenya history, cultural and customs of the many tribes that can be found in Kenya, etc. William also participated in my 3rd safari, and he did a fine job. To sum up, Dominic and Kentau Safari’s did an excellent job through all facets of our safari’s, and I would highly recommend them to any future customers.

Better than what they promised!
We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Kentau Safaris.
From the very beginning, the communication was smooth, clear, and very professional. Everything was well organized, and we always felt informed and taken care of.
Our guide (Modi) was truly exceptional kind, helpful, honest, and genuinely committed to giving us the best possible experience. You could really tell he wanted us to enjoy every moment, and that made all the difference.
The accommodations were outstanding and exceeded our expectations. Every overnight stay was comfortable, beautiful, and perfectly arranged.
In just three days, we saw and did so much that it honestly felt like we had been traveling for an entire week. The schedule was quite full and sometimes a bit busy, but for us that was absolutely perfect. We loved making the most of every moment.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience that we will never forget. We highly recommend Kentau Safaris!

This African safari was one of the most vibrant and unforgettable journeys of our lives. The majestic nature, the endless expanses of the savannah, the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, and, of course, the wildlife in all its pristine beauty—all of it is beyond words. Every encounter with animals was like a small miracle, filled with delight and respect for this amazing world.

The best safari you can book.
Our safari with Kentau was amazing! We saw wonderful places, the organization was perfect and I wouldn’t change a thing.
We really liked the lodges and hotels they assigned to us and felt very comfortable, our absolute favorite was Ziwani, an unforgettable place!
Dominic was truly kind because he listened to my needs and always accommodated me, so we were able to plan the perfect trip for our family.
Our driver, Modi, was absolutely fantastic! We couldn’t have asked for anything better. He explained so many things to us, fulfilled all our requests, and is genuinely a wonderful person. I wish him all the best!
So I absolutely recommend booking your safari with Kentau, you won’t regret it!

Very thoughtful, professional, well planed in both Kenya and Tanzania.
Dominic was a very thoughtful, well organized planer for our 13 days trip in Kenya and Tanzania.
We enjoyed the trip very much, and our guides, Freddie in Kenya and Joseph in Tanzania both were very professional in Safari (we collected big fives and Cheetah, at the same time they taught us so many knowledges regards to the animal ), driving on route, and keeping us safe( was flooding at Serengeti and we need to cross the river safely).
We will definitely reach Kentau for our next trip for safari.

Excellent!
My boyfriend I and chose Kentau for our 4 day safari in Amboseli and Tsavo West and East because of their fast response and clear communication. We weren't disappointed. All the logistics from the booking, payment, to the pick-up, and drive to our final destination went smooth and we were always on time. Kentau is a very professional company. Our driver and guide, Fred, was really cool and shared with us a lot of knowledge about the parks and animals we were seeing. It was very easy to talk to him and he was very patient with us. We loved having him as our guide! The hotels we stayed were amazing: beautifully located with a view of Kilimanjaro in Amboseli or close to a lake in Tsavo West and close to a water hole inside Tsavo East. The food was delicious (even for a vegetarian like me) and the rooms were comfortable and spacious. The safari itself was awesome, we saw all the animals that we wanted to see: elephants, lions (lionesses and their cubs; mating couples), a cheetah and her cubs, hippos, giraffes, Somali ostrich, and many more! But we also learned to spot animals and saw many others that we didn't know about. This was truly a great experience for us and we would love to do another safari somewhere else in Kenya with Kentau Safaris!

Our experience was all positive!!
We were interested in a mid-range tented lodge in the Masai Mara. I sent out several inquiries to different tour operators but Dominic was by far the most patient and accommodating and because of this I decided to go with Kentau. Payment was easy and Dominic continued to be very responsive to all questions. Of note, some tour operators offer safaris with vans versus Land Cruisers, or, they charge extra for the Land Cruiser - Kentau did not offer us vans nor did they charge extra for the nicer vehicle. This kept the safari more affordable compared to other quotes.
Prior to our safari in the Masai Mara, while we were in Nairobi, we decided to add a day safari to the National Park and I reached out to Dominic. He set it up so we would be with the same guide as our safari to the Masai Mara, and he also accommodated our other requests to see the elephants at Sheldrick and the giraffes at the Giraffe Center. It worked out perfectly!!
Our guide, Chris, was outstanding. He was an experienced guide, was able to respond to our many questions, and made both safari experiences amazing (along with the numerous animals we saw!!!) He was happy to accommodate our requests along the way and to tailor the safari to what we wanted. If we return to Kenya and do additional safaris we would definitely want Chris as our guide again and would reach out to Kentau for assistance.
Last, our lodge, Enkorok Mara Camp, was wonderful. We are vegetarian and they were happy to accommodate this. The staff at the lodge were kind and accommodating and we enjoyed our time there.
Overall, we would highly recommend Kentau Safaris!

Family Safari
Before I booked the safari with Kentau Safari, I did thorough research and read many reviews. Since we were traveling with a child, I chose the most expensive option so that the accommodation, food, and car would be comfortable.
And that brings me to the car. The car sometimes barely drove. We even ended up in a repair shop with it, and the whole time we were worried we wouldn’t make it back. It had nothing to do with comfort. It was worn out, dirty, kept breaking down, and was very uncomfortable. The middle row of seats was broken, so we had to sit in a semi-reclined position the entire time, which on long distances was really poor and very uncomfortable.
As for the guide, Modi, he was okay. However, because of a bad decision he made, the car got stuck in the mud and instead of enjoying a full day of safari, we spent 4 hours stuck in the field and another 2 hours in a repair shop :( . On the positive side, he was kind and seemed to be trying his best.
I’m not someone who usually complains or writes negative comments. But I paid a lot for this safari, which was supposed to be the luxury option. The hotels were good and the food was fine, but the car situation completely ruined the comfort of the trip.
I’m writing this so that others first check and ask what kind of car they will actually be traveling in. I think the responsibility for what happened lies with the owner of Enta Safari (Dominic?), who should never have allowed a car in that condition to go on a safari trip.

During the time of your visit, the region had experienced very heavy rains, which made some sections of the park particularly challenging to navigate. While the guide opted for a route intended to optimize wildlife viewing, the difficult terrain unfortunately caused the vehicle to get stuck. The recovery process then led to mechanical damage that required repairs, which resulted in the delays you experienced that day.
We sincerely regret the inconvenience this caused and understand how disappointing it must have been to lose valuable time during your safari. At the same time, we appreciate your kind comments about the guide and the accommodations, and we are glad that some aspects of the trip were still enjoyable.
