Professional, attentive, and perfectly organized
One week tour in Kruger and surroundings with family.
We had an excellent experience with African Welcome Safaris. They carefully supported us in planning and tailoring our itinerary to our requests, always with great attention and professionalism.
The proposed accommodations and activities were really of high quality, and they also provided us with clear and useful travel information for each step of the journey. No need for further support, however their discreet follow-up before, during, and after the trip made us feel truly looked after.
Highly recommended for anyone planning a Kruger safari (and I'm sure for any other destination they arrange).

It was such a fantastic trip and we got to see many rare activities in the animal kingdom
The trip was fantastic good.! This was my second time joining a customised tour arranged by Kathi. Kathi has been so helpful and she provided many thoughtful tips and arrangement was made accordingly . I brought along my 88 years old father (2nd time for safari) and he thoroughly enjoyed the trip with many happy and great memories.
I contacted Kathi at anytime I had queries and she never failed to answer me quickly. Just before trips, we suddenly had several urgent queries (probably due to excitement or worries), and her answers calmed us and assured us that she was on top of all the arrangement.
During the trip, we again had several queries and she quickly looked into them and assured us of her tip top arrangement (e.g. to arrange hot lunches when we moved from one place to the next). From point to point, there were guides who met us and welcomed us warmly. We never had to worry at all ! Thank you for a great trip with family and friends! A special thank you to you Kathi!

Kathi creates an experience which will always be remembered, making the journey easy as well as amazing. Her communication is flawless and kind. Her professionalism, deep deep knowledge of Africa and her ability to match this with the travelers dreams is exceptional. She is immediately available before during and even after the experience, I enjoyed a Five star journey with accommodations, tours, and Drivers, who were friendly, informative, and attentive to every need.
From Cape Town to Kruger to Victoria Falls and Johannesburg, each leg of the journey was enjoyable, relaxed, and created memories for a lifetime.

Efficient, helpful, friendly and recommended great experiences for us as a couple!
We had a great time on our recent tour to Victoria Falls and the safari near Kruger National Park. The overall experience working with African Welcome Safaris was extremely positive - our contact, Kathi, was helpful, friendly, and quick to respond. Kathi had good recommendations on things we could do, suggestions on sorting out our itinerary, and the accommodations selected were good - especially the game reserve at Kruger National Park. We didn't want to leave! All the airport transfers were efficiently arranged - the instructions were easy to follow, and we felt assured that there would be someone to receive us each time we travelled to a different location. The app was very useful for us when we needed to refer to our itinerary on the go, and it had all the useful information we needed. Would be happy to recommend African Welcome Safaris to friends and family!

A perfect honeymoon!
We had such an incredible honeymoon, organized by Kathi at African Welcome Safaris! From the very first communication, Kathi took into consideration our preferences and ideas and tailored an itinerary for us. She paced the trip so that we could enjoy every moment, but still fit in all of the activities that we wanted. The tour guides she selected were knowledgeable, kind, and the safari lodges were stunning. We have so many memories that we will treasure forever! We have already been recommending her to all our friends and family, and would absolutely use African Welcome Safaris again!

Planned a fantastic trip for a family of 12, will be talking about this trip for years to come.
Kathi at African Welcome Safaris, planned a wonderful trip and was very accomodating when we had to reschedule due to a family illness. She coordinated 12 people arriving and departing at different times. All the drivers and tour guides were on time , professional and very knowledgeable and adapted quickly based on weather and our needs. The accommodations were first rate and the Safari lodge we stayed in Sabi Sands (Leopard Hills) was 5 + star. Having elephants drinking from our plunge pool and other animals right behind our room was just unbelievable. The trip was created memories that will last a lifetime. I liked that she created a trip with many options and we could pick and choose what we wanted to do and experience. She planned everything we needed including meals which made the trip very easy. Already planning on returning for another adventure.

We planned our trip rather last minute (after my daughter was accepted for study abroad) Kathi was amazing at helping me figure out our itinerary as well as being VERY accommodating with short notice changes. Everyone we encountered from drivers, to hike guide Fats, to our Safari guides at Kapama were great! My son lost an earbud in one of our cars, and they not only found it but returned it to us quickly. Kapama was exceptionally; beautiful accommodations and personal care. Our guides, Lonny and Matimu were not only knowledgeable on the animals and tracking (got us to see the big 5 plus a couple up close and personal moments) but great people overall! They made the whole experience so personal and fun for my husband and I, as well as our young adult children. By the end of our Safari stay it felt as though we were saying goodbye to friends instead of just Safari Guides.

They were well organized, thoughtful and knowledgeable.
Initially I was a little nervous about my first trip to African, not knowing exactly what to expect. But Kathi with African Welcome Safaris was so kind and took the time to have two-three preliminary calls before our trip to let us know what to expect, how to prepare and review our itineraries. This eased my fears helped fuel my excitement and anticipation for what was to come. I will say that there was not one step missed. Our transfers hotels, tours etc. were as expected and beyond. I can say with all honesty and sincerity the trip was perfect. This was a trip of a lifetime and all due to African Welcome Safaris. Our Guide Debbie in Cape Town felt like family by the end our stay there. It broke our hearts to say goodbye. I would recommend Kathi and her team 100 times over.
