Average tour at best.
Amazing parks. Serengeti and the Crater being the highlight of the trip, so rich with wild life.
The trip started very nice until our driver decided that we have our lunch in the car, as he wasn't bothered set up a table for us !
That day ended in Nakupenda lodge, we needed a WiFi but the lodge manager gave us a lodge with no internet!! I went back to him to change the lodge but he kept us waiting there for an hour with no reason or consideration that we were tired from travelling and the drive!!
I asked the driver to pack coffee Thermos for the drive on the fist day, he totally ignored my wish until the end of the tour !!! It was suppose to be a luxury tour ..!!
On the second day we drove all the way to nogorongo, up the misty foggy hills to find out that the car wipers were not working in the tired dated vehicle, the dust from the road was sticking to the windshield making it muddy and hard to see, the fog made it worse, it was very dangerous drive up steep narrow roads under such conditions, the driver was splashing water from the window on the windscreen to see the road !!
On the final day the driver came to pick us up with a filthy dusty vehicle from the drive the day before, maybe trying to save some money, very cheap and unprofessional.
Despite all the above the last lodge Mvuli hotel was quite special. And the parks were full of wild life and worth the trouble.
Phenomenal
Incredible communication from the moment we booked right up until the end of the safari. The safari was an amazing experience we had really good knowledgable, charismatic and funny drivers. The lodge was out of this world, the views were breath taking and the staff were extremely attentive. I would highly recommend King Mufasa expeditions once you book with them everything is sorted, you don’t have to worry about a single thing (airport transfers, accommodation, safari most importantly communication)
The Ultimate Safari Experience
It was hands down the best trip I’ve ever had. This safari was a lifelong dream come true. Ever since I was a child watching The Lion King, I dreamed of experiencing the African savannah and seeing these incredible animals in the wild. I had very high expectations, but somehow this trip was even better than I ever imagined.
But what truly made this safari unforgettable was our guide Brighton!
His knowledge was absolutely incredible—he seemed to know every little detail about the wildlife, nature, and the area, and he shared it in such an engaging way. More than that, he made the whole experience feel like we were traveling with a friend rather than being on an organized tour. He was incredibly welcoming, kind, and genuinely passionate about making our trip special.
He went above and beyond to make sure we saw everything we hoped for and always put in the extra effort to give us the best possible experience. Watching other safari groups during the trip made us realize just how exceptional our guide Brighton was—many other guides simply didn’t come close to the level of knowledge, enthusiasm, and dedication that we experienced.
A special thank you also goes to Davis, who helped organize and plan our flights. He was available almost 24/7 to answer our questions, responded incredibly quickly, and made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. His support gave us complete peace of mind and made the entire travel experience stress-free.
I can’t recommend this safari highly enough. It was truly the best trip I’ve ever had and an experience I’ll never forget. A huge thank you to everyone! Can’t wait to come back!

Perfect company , perfect people
We had a wonderful safari experience from start to finish. I traveled with my 8-year-old daughter, and the team was always kind, friendly, reliable, and very helpful.
A special thanks to our guide, Bright. He is an amazing person and an excellent guide. He made us feel safe and comfortable, and turned our holiday into an unforgettable experience.

Like having a best friend in Tanzania and go on Safari with him
When you go on safari there are two sides, the time you see the animals and the time you search for them, which is the longer time. King Mufasa not only makes sure you enjoy the first one, but makes the second one the best. Our ranger, Brighton, made our Safari experience truly special and fun. Not only he took care of what we wanted to see, but he really connected with us and we really enjoyed the time with him. He’s the best ranger for everyone who is not simply there to see the beasts 🥰, but who wants to make the stay special.
Davis, the manager, is available and ready to give the recommendations and advices on the safari, and he can help you organizing!
The food we got was always delicious, the lodges beautiful and the game drives exciting. Be prepared, safari can be unexpected, even in Safari luxury lodges water can be temporary down for a couple of hours, and things such as a broken car can happen and can be in the order of the day (it happen to us too on the last day), but our ranger tried his best to make the unforeseen better and take care of they issue, he always got our back.
We will for sure come back to Tanzania and whenever that’ll be, we will choose King Mufasa again!

All we could wish for. And more.
We booked both our 3-day Mount Meru hike and our 3-day safari trip with King Mufasa. Something we would definitely do again.
Everything is very well organized and they make use of the best guides and crew. At Meru we had guide Akle, I would absolutely recommend to ask whether he is available. He really put an effort to keep everyone positively minded when the hike got touch. Also, he thought of the little details so we didn’t have to and got us informed timely. He brought his own crew who work really hard to get everything prepared timely and their food is delicious.
For safari, we booked mid-range but the accommodations felt really luxurious. Also here the food was very good and our guide Joël knew everything about the animals and knew where to spot them.
The booking process was very smoothly and even during our trips, king mufasa (Davis) remained in contact to check whether everything was going as planned.

The best tours to Mount Meru and Safari
We loved the two tours we did with King Mufasa. First we hiked Mount Meru. The guide Akle was amazing. He kept the energy high and was positive, knew a lot and took really good care of us. Also the other part of the crew was amazing. Everyone was so sweet and all was well arranged. Mount Meru itself was wonderful and would 100% recommend it! After that we did a three day safari to different parks. We stayed in beautiful lodges and also the guide Joel was very professional and knew a lot about the parks and the animals.
The communication with king mufasa especially with Davis was so good. From the start until the end everything was communicated so clearly.

Swarms of animals everywhere, migration patterns of animals are unbeatable to any other safari. You can easily find the big 5 animals, scenery is breathtaking. Food was amazing, and tour guide was well trained and extremely adaptable.
