9-Day Tanzania Safari Adventure - Wild Serenity Safaris - 4,5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⯪
✅ Pros / Overall Experience (in chronological order)
Arusha city & local driver (from Gasper) – the driver provided in Arusha (city transfers only, before the safari) was a big plus. He took us everywhere we wanted to go around the city and always made sure we felt safe.
Waterfalls, Kilimanjaro foothills & coffee plantation – the waterfall itself is a nice addition, but combined with the coffee plantation visit it made for a truly great and well-organized day. We strongly recommend choosing the plantation tour.
Safari experience & wildlife – we saw almost all animals from the Big Five (except the rhino). Lions extremely close to the car (walking right next to it!), lots of zebras, elephants, leopards, giraffes, cheetahs, hippos, as well as many other animals, monkeys, and countless bird species.
Safari driver Adrian (from Gasper) – very professional and knowledgeable. He answered all our questions, reacted quickly to radio information about animal sightings, and made sure we reached the right places fast to see as much wildlife as possible. He truly tried to show us as much as he could.
Food during the safari – meals were well organized and good, especially considering safari conditions.
Accommodation – lodges were generally very good for African standards, clean and comfortable.
❌ Cons
Communication with the organizer – information about the plan for the next day was often provided too late, sometimes only after 10:00 PM. Because of this, we couldn’t order breakfast for a specific time, as we didn’t know whether departure would be at 5:00 AM or 9:00 AM.
Shortened safari day (Ngorongoro Crater) – one safari day was partially lost. We spent only about 3 hours in the crater and were back at the hotel around 2:00 PM, because part of the group had to be driven to the airport. This should have been split into two separate groups: those leaving and those continuing the safari.
Rhino sightings – seeing a rhino is very difficult and requires a lot of luck.
💡 Tips
Always ask in advance whether the organizer plans to shorten a safari day due to airport transfers.
Check the distance between accommodations and national parks — sometimes the drive can take 1–1.5 hours one way. Choosing something closer can save a lot of time.
Staying inside the safari park (especially Serengeti) is absolutely worth it. We highly recommend booking at least one night there — sunrise over the Serengeti feels like a scene from The Lion King 🦁🌅
⭐ Overall Recommendation – 8-Day Trip
We highly recommend an 8-day itinerary, which felt perfectly balanced and not rushed:
Day 1 – Exploring Arusha
Day 2 – Waterfalls, Mount Kilimanjaro foothills & coffee plantation
Days 3–4 – Serengeti National Park
Day 5 – Ngorongoro Crater
Day 6 – Tarangire National Park
Day 7 – Lake Manyara
This plan allows you to experience different parks, landscapes, and wildlife without feeling rushed.
