The Absolute Best Tour operator who provided a rich curated safari experience of a life time.
Toto Tembo provided a personalized service curated specially for me and my family. From the moment we were picked up we felt safe and special with our dedicated driver/guide Dennis who was with us for the whole 7 days. Dennis is the best and knew every hot spot in the parks and everyone in all the Hotels we visited. From Amboseli, to Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and finally the great Maasai Mara. Esther, with whom I communicated to make all the arrangements, was meticulous in communication, clarity and advice on what we should do. We had a private vehicle so the experience was personal. Vehicle provided was excellent, accommodation etc was not found wanting. Esther and Dennis accomodated all our needs. Value for money? I personally think Toto Tembo gives you the best value with a balance of everything Kenya has to offer. 7 days flew. We wished we could have stayed longer. I was pleased to hear from Esther that Toto Tembo also handles tours to Tanzania and Uganda. We will be visiting next year to cover Tsavo and other areas and maybe extend to Uganda and Tanzania. For sure it will be with the safety, reliability and professionalism of Toto Tembo. Thank you Esther, Emmilia and Dennis for an experience of a lifetime. Very highly recommended.

Helpful, accommodating and friendly
I found this 4 days and 3 nights tour from Toto Tembo. They are very accommodating and helpful, especially Esther and Antony. This is my first ever Africa trip and they made it a special and memorable one. I would recommend their tour.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Toto Tembo made my dream come true !
- Esther was great in asking if everything was great previously and made a nice follow-up.
- Service was good, Toto Tembo gave us a nice custom hat and bottle.
- Dennis, our driver guide, arrived on time and was our partner in eveyrthing.
- The conditions of lodge and jeep were great, just a shame on day 1 was not possible do a game drive in the afternoon.
To summarize, you can be confortable in make a reservation with toto tembo, because they will make a real effort to make your safari a dream come true and a wonderful experience.

Very well organised with great care and communication.
What an excellent experience, we got to see the big five and many more animals multiple times on a six night Safari. From initially booking to the last farewell communication was excellent. The accommodation, food and transportation met and exceeded our expectations. What made the trip even better was the guide/driver “Denis”. He provided the best experience possible, nothing was too much trouble and we felt really safe at all times. I really can’t recommend this company enough. They are passionate about delivering the best Safari experience. Our group of 8, from UK, India, Singapore and Malaysia all had the most memorable time. My only comment/ feedback is we should have made the trip twice as long and enjoyed taking breaks between Safari locations, to really relax and enjoy the facilities at the accommodation.

A Splendid Safari Experience with Toto Tembo Safari in Kenya- Between 9th October 2025 to 15th October 2025.
Our recent safari adventure with Toto Tembo Safari was truly exceptional. Over the course of our journey, we explored the diverse and stunning landscapes of Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, and Amboseli National Park. Each destination offered its own unique charm, and we were fortunate to witness all the Big Five, fulfilling a lifelong dream for any wildlife enthusiast.
Despite the long drives and rugged terrain, the experience was invigorating rather than exhausting. The natural beauty and abundance of wildlife kept us captivated throughout, making every moment on the road worthwhile.

Simply the best.
The drive was amazing. Our expectations were met and exceeded. We liked how our service provider kept communicating and making follow ups before, during and after the drive just to make sure that we were well taken care of. I must say that Toto Tembo safaris are reliable and cost effective.
For future game drives, I will still choose Toto tembo Safaris.

Excellent Tour and well organized
Communications with Esther Mbuva from Toto Tembo were clear all the time. We paid using credit card and the comission is expensive, but it is safe to do it through Toto Tembo. Our driver and guide in Amboseli was always very kind. The Serena lodge in Amboseli is fine but looks old and needs a renovation.

Reliable and service oriented travel partner
I booked two safari tours with Toto Tembo. During the first tour to Masai Mara-Naivasha-Nakuru some issues appeared (seating, vehicle, the guide, the meals). It felt unpleasant and I reached out to my contact persons Emmilia and Esther about the issues.
They are very committed, professional, friendly and 100% available for occurring questions even during the game drives with directly tackling issues I pointed out.
So you don't have to wait long for support which I think is very important when you're traveling in a foreign country and be on safari.
Special requests like my meal preferences, as I'm vegetarian, have been taken seriously and been tried to execute as best as possible.
For the second tour to Amboseli, Toto Tembo made up for the previous inconveniences I faced during the first tour. I saw many animals, also the big 5, and experienced many different landscapes and facets of Kenya.
Some facts in short that I found important during my travel:
Vehicle provided: modern, very clean, comfy and well equipped (chargers, box for water). I want to point out that the safety belts were working properly which isn't granted with every vehicle in Kenya or safari agency!
My guide: friendly and calm guy, good and safe driver, very knowledgeable during the safaris. I loved his company and infos during our trip. Very much appreciated Lenards calm warm personality!
The schedule: Pick up was always punctual, so no long waiting but the schedule is very tight. Safari means you be in the vehicle long hours, roads can be rough and very bumpy, getting up early and being in bed late.
You should plan your game drives and days to stay at a certain lodge or camp accordingly or ask for advice from Toto Tembo to get the best experience based on your own energy levels and preference. This will shape the whole safari experience so you want to think about that and not just about how many game drives you can fit in one day. -Trust me!
Accommodation:
Check the accommodation yourself in advance so you can tell Toto Tembo where you like to be booked in. I personally think Sopa Lodges deliver a very good experience and I especially loved the variety and high quality food + they have nice pools and big inside fire places. The lodge itself to me would be worth a one day stay to just relax and enjoy nature, the views and the many amenities.

I really appreciate that they are so serious about delivering a pleasant and high quality experience and also take accountability when things go wrong. Because of this I always would recommend and book with them again. I made the experience that they are a trustworthy and professional travel partner.
