Unforgettable Mountain Gorilla Encounter in Bwindi – A Dream Come True!
5/5

Our Mountain Gorilla safari in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park was the highlight of our trip to East Africa — truly a bucket-list experience that surpassed all expectations. Trekking through the dense rainforest and spending an unforgettable hour with a family of wild mountain gorillas was incredibly moving. Watching the silverback, playful juveniles, and mothers with babies up close felt magical and deeply humbling. The park guides and trackers were outstanding: knowledgeable, safety-conscious, and passionate about conservation, which made the encounter even more meaningful.

Our driver, Godfrey, played a huge role in making the whole journey smooth and enjoyable. He safely handled the long round-trip drive from Kigali to Bwindi and back, sharing interesting stories along the way. On our final morning, despite heavy traffic in Kigali, Godfrey expertly navigated the roads and ensured we arrived at the airport well on time. His reliability, professionalism, and friendly attitude added greatly to the trip. He is the guy!

If you’re considering a gorilla trek in Uganda, go for it — Bwindi delivers an awe-inspiring, well-organized experience you’ll never forget.

Would you recommend this to a friend? Absolutely yes!
Value for money? Worth every penny!

Super experience
5/5

Eco were recommended to us so we never looked around or did any comparisons. We would recommend them to anyone else. Eco looked after getting permits, picked us up and took us back to our accommodation and also booked accommodation for us in the forest. All was super and worked without a hitch. Michelle was a super communicator and Eric a super driver and travel companion. We have memories to last our lifetime.

5* Tanzania & Uganda
5/5

We have just returned from an unforgettable two-week holiday with Eco Adventure Safaris, and we honestly couldn't recommend them more highly.

Our first week was spent on safari in Tanzania with our guide, Furahini, and it was absolutely incredible. He was professional, friendly, funny, and an outstanding guide. His knowledge, driving skills, and ability to find wildlife made every day unforgettable. We enjoyed the most amazing animal encounters in Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Crater. Every accommodation was fantastic, the food was excellent, and everything was perfectly organised.

For the second week, we flew to Uganda, where Elias was our guide. He was equally wonderful—friendly, professional, and always made us feel safe and well looked after. He got us everywhere smoothly and ensured we had the most incredible experiences, including gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking, and visiting Queen Elizabeth National Park. Gorilla trekking, in particular, was a truly unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

A huge thank you also goes to Patrick, who organised our entire trip. From the very beginning, he was incredibly responsive, answered every question quickly, and made the whole planning process completely stress-free. Everything ran seamlessly from start to finish.

This was truly the holiday of a lifetime, and we are so grateful to everyone at Eco Adventure Safaris for making it so special. If you're thinking about booking a safari in Tanzania or Uganda, don't hesitate—you'll be in the very best hands. Thank you for an absolutely perfect trip!

Trip of a lifetime
5/5

Our holiday in Uganda was truly unforgettable, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

From the very beginning, Patrick was incredibly responsive, reassuring, and helpful. We had some concerns because of the Ebola reports before we travelled, but Patrick kept us well informed and put our minds at ease. It turned out there were no issues during our trip. He listened to what we wanted, offered great suggestions, and worked with us to create our dream holiday.

Some of the highlights were the gorillas, chimps, Kidepo national park and the opportunity to visit local communities and experience the real Uganda. These authentic encounters made our trip even more special and memorable.

A special thank you also goes to our driver and guide, Hannington, who was amazing. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and keen eye for wildlife made every day exciting. He even spotted a leopard, which was an incredible experience! He also took us to enjoy delicious local food with local people, giving us a genuine insight into Ugandan culture. He was informative, friendly, and always went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience.

We would highly recommend this team.

Outstanding Experience with Eco Adventure Uganda
5/5

We couldn’t have asked for a better company for our Tanzania and Uganda adventure.

From our very first inquiry, the communication was outstanding. Every question was answered quickly, clearly, and professionally, giving us confidence throughout the entire planning process.

One of the biggest advantages was booking directly with a Ugandan company instead of through international intermediaries. The itinerary was identical to those offered by agencies in other countries, but at almost half the price. We received exceptional value without compromising on quality.

The itinerary they designed was excellent, combining the highlights of Tanzania and Uganda in a seamless journey. Every detail was well planned, and everything ran smoothly.

Before our trip there was an Ebola outbreak in Uganda, and naturally we were concerned. Eco Adventure was transparent, reassuring, and always available to discuss the situation. They explained how Uganda’s health authorities manage these outbreaks and were ready to create alternative plans immediately if necessary. In the end, we followed the original itinerary and felt completely safe throughout the trip.

During our journey, one of us became ill, and the support we received was exceptional. They helped us access medical care quickly, checked on us constantly, and made sure we were well taken care of. That level of personal attention meant a great deal to us.

We were also deeply impressed by our driver-guides. They were knowledgeable, kind, respectful, and genuinely passionate about wildlife conservation. They always kept the appropriate distance from animals, never pressured wildlife for better photos, and even stopped to pick up plastic bottles along the roads. That reflects the kind of values we appreciate most. For us, protecting nature and wildlife should always come before tourism, and Eco Adventure clearly shares that philosophy.

Finally, as two women traveling alone, we always felt safe, respected, and genuinely cared for. Every member of the team treated us with professionalism and kindness, making us feel comfortable from beginning to end.

We wholeheartedly recommend Eco Adventure to anyone planning a safari in Tanzania and Uganda. It was an unforgettable experience, made even better by a company that truly cares about its guests, its country, and its wildlife.

Professional safari service in Rwanda / Uganda
5/5

We booked a 7-day trip around northern Rwanda (with a focus on Volcanoes National Park). The communication with Eco Adventures was smooth and easy. They arranged everything for us, including accommodation, transport, and all the different permits. Our driver Jean was friendly, flexible and accommodating to our needs. He also was really helpful when we had a medical emergency. Highly recommend booking with them!

Adventure of a Lifetime
5/5

We took our niece on her graduation trip to Uganda, so we could trek with the gorillas and chimpanzees. We specifically chose Eco Adventure Safaris for their ratings and itinerary. Were there hiccups? Of course, it is Africa. But their staff, especially our guide, Silas, quickly pivoted and immediately came up with alternative solutions. The amount of wildlife we saw was amazing (thanks to Silas' expert spotting). Silas took fantastic care of us; we met as strangers and left family. We were so blessed to have him as our guide. We've been to Africa 4 times previously, and Uganda is very special. Not only are Uganda's scenery and national parks beautiful, but the people are so gracious, welcoming, and friendly. We will definitely be back!

Thoughtful, expert-led Uganda tours rich in wildlife, birds, and culture.
5/5

We had an unforgettable tour through Uganda with Elias, and I can honestly say he made the whole journey much deeper and more meaningful.

He is very organized, but also incredibly kind, attentive, and thoughtful. He always knew where to stop for the best views, quiet moments, or good photos. During the drives, he never just took us from one place to another. He explained what we were seeing: the landscapes, the Virunga volcanoes, the Kazinga Channel between Lake George and Lake Edward, the places where savanna turns into forest, and so many small details that a visitor would never understand from a guidebook alone.

What impressed me most was how deeply he knows Uganda: its wildlife, nature, traditions, everyday life, and culture. He told us about gorillas, chimpanzees, rhinos, animal behavior, plants, local customs, holidays, and the way people live. It felt not just like a tour, but like a natural-history expedition through the country.

And for me personally, as a birdwatcher, the biggest surprise was that Elias is also a very experienced birder. He helped me identify birds, explained field marks, compared similar species and subspecies, used a bird guide to show the details, and seemed to know the book almost by heart. He even gave me little “homework” after our bird sightings: to compare different subspecies of the Grey Crowned Crane in my photos and in the field guide, noticing small details such as the red facial patch and other field marks. It was such a fun and memorable part of the trip.

Thanks to him, I managed to add around 160 bird lifers during this trip. Let’s just say my eBird list from Uganda is something a fellow birder might be both impressed by and a little jealous of.

After this journey, I feel truly inspired to come back and do a dedicated birding tour with Elias, across Uganda or even wider East Africa.

I highly recommend Elias to anyone who wants more than a standard safari. If you want an adventure with beautiful wildlife, birds, plants, landscapes, culture, and a real understanding of the country, he is exactly the guide you hope to meet.

Excellent
5/5

We took part in an 8-day gorilla (Kaara mountain lodge, Bwindi), chimpanzee (Kibale forest tourist lodge) and golden monkey trekking, spiced up with 2 days of rest at the lake Mutanda resort. The experiences, the accommodation, the food were all fantastic, exceeding our expectations. The road and the tours were very safe. It was simply fantastic organization, and we had an experience of a lifetime.
