Eco Safaris was outstanding with every detail on my trip!
I have dreamed of going to Africa and seeing the mountain gorillas my whole life and Eco Adventure Safaris made my dream come true! Everything about my trip was amazing from working with Michelle who helped me design my trip to my guide Abdallah who made sure everyday was better than the next. From my accommodations to the treks to see chimpanzees, golden monkeys and the dream of seeing gorillas, everything was above and beyond my expectations. Eco Adventures is a company I can't wait to travel with again. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and taken care of everyday through all my experiences. Abdallah was the best of the best guide, making sure every detail was taken care of and answering all of my endless questions. My highest recommendation for Eco Adventures!

Amazing and Highly Accomodating Tour Operator
As an American, I was a little cautious when some friends approached me with a trip to Uganda and Rwanda, however by the end of the trip, I had such a beautiful appreciation for the people and wildlife of these countries. This trip toured Akagera, Volcanoes, Queen Elizabeth, Kibale, and Bwindi National Parks where safaris included seeing rhinos, giraffes, zebra, warthogs, lions, leopards, buffalo, elephants, hippos, crocs and treks included golden monkeys, chimps and gorilla, and also a TON of birds. Got to actually see a pair of African Grey parrots for a brief second span the sky. The chimp and gorilla treks were a once in a lifetime experience. Seeing these beautiful creatures, up close, moving within feet of you, was exhilarating. Zoos will never be the same again. At first its a little intimidating being so close but you begin to notice that the chimps and gorillas don't pay any attention to you and that there are park rangers near you at all times. Also, definitely try to book a night safari, in order to see animals and their behaviors that are not present during the day. This trip was in early July. The temps were in the 60's to 70's much of the trip where the Queen Elizabeth Park area were more closer to 70's and the Bwindi mountainous area were closer to 50's and 60's. We only saw rain in the Bwindi area and there were no mosquitos throughout this trip.
The vehicle the travel company used were Toyota Land Cruisers outfitted for safari with 6 rear bucket seats and a roof that pops up allowing you to stand. Things may get a little bumpy with the hardened suspension and that most of the minor roads in Uganda and Rwanda are not paved, especially through the mountainous areas. If you get carsick easily, don't forget to bring motion sickness pills. They provided plentiful bottled water. The charger in the vehicle was spotty so bring a power bank if you have.
Accommodations throughout the trip were lovely. All lodges had security guards on premises, bottled water, mosquito netting in all the rooms, tasty meals, bars, and other amenities. WiFi was available, mostly just in the central dining areas. Hot water was a limited commodity where you might only get a few minutes of "warm" so you might have to just make due. Cellphone coverage was actually really good most places except in the mountainous Bwindi area. Most places took credit card and US dollars in addition to the local currency.
Lastly, special mention to my driver Ronnie King who was not only highly knowledgeable about wildlife, but also made special requests and accommodations along the way for us making this a once in a lifetime type of trip.

Exceptional experience in Africa
We did a 21 day trip in Uganda and Tanzania including Zanzibar. It was phenomenal! We loved the variety in lodging, each place having very unique characteristics, an emphasis on protecting the environment and community, great food, and great people. The locations had beautiful views and/or amenities. We have seen and experienced so many amazing things, animals, and culture in each area. It has been a great mix along the way. We definitely recommend this company.
We also wanted to share how much we appreciated our Ugandan guide, Silus. He is truly one of a kind. He was patient, extremely knowledgeable, kind hearted, and kept things fun. We even got to spend time with his amazing wife! He adjusted things along the way to make sure we were having the best experience possible. He gave great advice and local tips and kept us ahead of the crowd every day. Everyone knows him everywhere you go. Our Tanzanian guide, Mdeme was extremely experienced and took the time to drive long distances in the Serengeti to ensure rare sightings away from the crowd. He knew where the lion prides hang out, the best place to see the great migration, and all the cheetah hideouts. We feel blessed to have them as our local guides in this adventure.
Our safari vehicles were very well maintained, stocked, and comfortable. We always felt safe and had amazing views from anywhere in the vehicle.
Thank you Eco Adventure Safaris for an unforgettable trip!

African Advenure
The trip had to be changed several times due to closing borders and war ! So it wasnt the tour i originally hoped for ! Saying that Sam and Patrick organised a tour to the best as changing situations demanded! I was well looked after and will book with Eco tours again as they stuck to their promises and delivered what they could in the circumstances ! If anyone would do the trip to Burundi again i would strongly advise if you have to go via Tanzania limit the stay to 3 days due to visa issues at this border they only issue 3day visa and youll end up in immigration getting an extension but Sam worked hard to ensure any mishaps were rectified asap ! I got great local insights into cultures throughout the trip and it ended up yet another African Adventure as anyone knows expect the unexpected TIA = This is Africa !

From start to finish, from first contact and sorting itinerary, to delivery - EXCELLENT !!!
From start to finish, Eco Adventure Safaris were great.
Firstly sorting the itinerary with us as a package and then, most importantly, following through with it.
Our guide and driver, Elias, was brilliant. Very knowledgeable and friendly.
All accommodation, excellent and we had wonderful nature sightings, easily up there with more expensive African destinations.
Uganda and Eco Adventure are highly recommended.

Amazing gorilla trek
We want to thank you for arranging everything. It was an adventure of a lifetime.
We were extremely lucky as my wife and I were the only guests on the Gorilla trek. We had an exclusive trek and it made our encounter with the gorilla family even more special.
Also thank you for including the complimentary massages at the lodge. They were very nice after a very gruelling (but exciting) trek through the jungle.
It was quiet at the Nkuringo lodge and we were treated like royalty there. We got upgraded to the huge luxury villa with amazing views and fantastic amenities.
Also, a very special mention for our driver Charles. We were a little anxious about a 10 hour drive each way. However the road trip was very good. We have travelled a lot and had drivers in many different countries. But we have to say that Charles was the safest driver we have ever had. He was a patient, courteous and extremely careful driver. He was also lovely to spend time with sharing his knowledge of Uganda with us.
Thank you.

Best value for money!
Eco Adventure Safaris were the cheapest quote we got for the Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and they did an excellent job of organising our permits and making sure our time in Bwindi and our stay for one night went smoothly. Right from the time I started messaging Michelle, she was very professional and prompt with her replies and answered all my doubts clearly. Our driver Abdul was really great. He was friendly and kind and we felt very safe driving with him.
He was a wealth of information and made our crossover into Uganda from Rwanda so easy. Having Abdul as our driver made all the difference!

Reliable, good communication and attentive
The trip was truly amazing, the guides for the ape trecking were professional, knowledgable and respected the animals. Patrick took care of everything making it completely stress free. When we mentionned wanting to taste some local food and drink he stopped in the villages and showed us different things.
