Epic Trip! Sun Safaris facilitated a trip of a lifetime for our group of four.
'Epic Safari trip'. Sun Safaris ( Brett Thompson ) worked with us to create a 30 day trip to South Africa that covered Cape Town, Wine Country, and Whale watching before we went on Safari. Next came a flight to Botswana , one camp in the Okavango Delta and another camp at Chobe National Park. Then off to Victoria Falls for two days.
The next phase took us to the Kruger National Park area and three more camps, finishing in the Sabi Sand. Each camp was unique and provided first class accommodation, food, and service, The guides were outstanding and each went out of their way to take us to see the animals.
After the Safaris we went for some relaxing beach time in Mozambique.
Flawless execution on every aspect of our 'Epic trip'. Thank you Sun Safaris and Brett Thompson.

Wonderful safari travel agent
We live in London, but found Sun Safaris 8 years ago when we organised a safari for our family of four in the Kruger. Sun also organised other accommodation and travel for our trip and were amazing. We went straight back to them this year to sort a short safari for us in the Eastern Cape They found us a fabulous lodge in a great reserve and also provided much useful advice on travel and hotel recommendations for Joburg. Wonderful company and we are so thankful to have found them. Both safaris were trips of a lifetime and completely met our brief. Thank you Natasha!

Professional and very helpful
Our holiday ran smoothly and was stress free. The accommodation arranged by Sun safaris was excellent. All fees and transfers were taken care of so we were left to enjoy the Safari and later our visit to Victoria Falls. Brett at Sun safaris knew his stuff and his recommendations were excellent. Thank you for a great holiday.

Brett provided incredible service and guidance, can't wait to book my next Africa Adventure!
My experience with Sun Safaris was nothing short of incredible. From budgeting, itinerary building, to in-between location airfare and car transfers - our trip to Africa was flawless and stress-free. I wanted to plan a 2 and a half week trip for a group of 12 friends which at first seemed impossible - but at the end of it each of us agreed it was a trip of a lifetime. Brett helped us plan every moment of our trip months in advance, and met with us over Zoom to ensure we had all our questions covered. During our trip, he was also readily accessible in case new questions popped up or if we had issues with lodging. He was an absolute joy to work with, and incredibly dependable. I can't wait until I am able to travel back to Africa - and I will certainly be using Sun Safaris again!

Very knowledgeable and responsive
Our operator was, Brett, he did a fantastic job planning our honeymoon. We safari’d, vineyards, and Cape Town during our 14 day trip in South Africa. He had great recommendations for itineraries and provided great boots on the ground guides to show us around each location. I would recommend him to my friends and family if planning a trip to SA.

Brett went above and beyond to make our holiday a dream come true.
We were a group of 12 , which included 6 kids 12 and below and we were introduced to Brett by Umkumbe Bush Lodge.
From the first contact and giving him a brief idea of when and where we wanted to go, he came up with an amazing detailed and well catered plan for the 17 days.
From internal flights between Joberg, Zimbabwe and back to Cape Town to stays at 4 different locations and also arranging tour guides and day tours for us, he managed to nail it completely blowing our mind.
He went above and beyond when there was a little hiccup with on of the accommodation to find us an even better place.
His prompt replies to all our queries and his patience when we had to change a few plans are well appreciated.
Brett will definitely be our go to person when we plan our another African holiday and we have recommended him to a few of our friends too.
Thank you again Brett for your amazing service.

The most wonderful possible experiences with the least possible aggravation
There are a handful of experiences in life that are so detailed and compelling that they defy easy description--to talk about one thing is to leave out another. For the wildlife enthusiast, who wishes to not just see animals but learn about their behavior at the same time, the most essential people are the guides. In four different camps, albeit all with Machaba in Botswana, our guides were among the most extraordinary people I have ever met. Their lives, education and passions all revolved around wildlife--they were living their happiest lives. "Q, How many of the 452 birds in this book can you identify?" A. "All of them--by sight and sound." No idle boast. From the smallest dung beetle to the largest elephant, our amazing guides were the backbone of the entire trip.
The other stuff was also great--the food, the accommodations (including the elephant right outside the tent on our first night), and the ease of pick ups and drop offs. Botswana is also a wonderful country. Africa's longest-enduring democracy, the people are relatively prosperous. The country has made a real commitment to extensively preserving land and wildlife, and making sure the tourist dollars spent are received by the people. Hey, the Botswana military mostly does anti-poaching work! We were there for over two eeks and did not see a single firearm displayed on anyone--quite a change from the USA. It is impossible to praise this trip enough.

responsive, very helpful, always there for any requests, very knowledgable about each camp
we had been recommended to use Sun Safaris by friends who had an excellent experience. We took their advice and it was great. Everything was seamless in three countries-South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe. We loved everything about our 4 Machabe camps. The guides are each aware of over 400 species of birds, their calls and can see them from a quarter mile away. We saw way more animals than we ever expected
