Brett was very attentive, helpful, and quick with all requests; I felt safe with his support.
5/5

The hotel is exactly as pictured, beautiful and cozy. It was the most exciting experience of my life, going on safari. Our guide, Sunday, is incredibly knowledgeable about nature and did everything he could to make the tours even more enchanting. The entire hotel staff was always very kind to us. The chef was also wonderful; everything was delicious. I don't have enough words to describe the experience.

We lived our dream
5/5

Brett Thomson and Sunsafaris went beyond our expectations in planning our recent trip. Everything was flawless and so well planned to give us the maximum experience we could imagine. Thie selected lodges were awesome with great staff and guides. They were all top-quality and a pleasure to experience. Selected locations in Nairobi, including the Karen Blixen coffee, gardens, Amboseli and the Massai Mara ( Alex Walker’s Serian Original) were all top notch. We could not be more pleased with the organizing done by Brett Thomson and Sun Safaris

Very engaging wildlife tour in Botswana
5/5

On our 2-week trip to Botswana we were interested in seeing wildlife in a variety of ecological settings. After working with us for a few weeks, Brett put together exactly the right series of lodges, from the northern Kalahari to very different parts of the Delta, then Kwai and ultimately Chobe. The camps and lodges we stayed in were small and very well-run. The guides were uniformly excellent. All the connections among camps and lodges worked smoothly. When we had a couple of questions during the journey Brett responded immediately. We will work with Sun Safaris again for future trips to Botswana and elsewhere in Africa.

The most incredible travel adventure of our lives!!
5/5

t was our first time visiting Namibia and Kruger Park (Sabi Sand Reserve). After speaking with a few travel agencies, we discovered Sun Safaris! Brett’s guidance and experience completely won us over, helping us shape our dream travel adventure.

We spent 10 days in Namibia, exploring the Namib Desert and Damaraland with a mix of guided experiences, flying from one location to another, and finally doing some self-driving on the country’s stunning gravel roads. ;-) The quality of the lodges and the food went far beyond our expectations. The coordination of each step of our trip — from car drop-offs to guides, drivers, and agency contacts — was impeccable.

Our final 6 nights were spent in the Sabi Sand Reserve, specifically at Sabi Sabi’s Little Bush Camp Lodge. Wow — what an unforgettable experience and a lifetime of memories we’ll carry with us.

We highly recommend Sun Safaris, Brett, and his amazing partners at Namibia Tours & Safaris.

An unforgettable adventure, with seamless planning and exceptional communication
5/5

Brett impressed us in every aspect of our safari planning. He delivered an amazing itinerary that was tailor-made for me and my husband. Brett consistently replied extremely quickly during the planning stage as well as during our safari when I had a question. He was very transparent with the pricing and worth every penny. He provided dependable transfers, reliable local guides who genuinely cared, and an unforgettable safari experience. I didn't have to worry about anything more than what to drink at the sundowner. Every part of our trip was perfect!

Knowledgeable, communicative and very helpful
5/5

Planning our safari trip to the Greater Kruger Area in South Africa with Natasha Allan was a great pleasure. Following our first email exchange with her she provided us with several excellent options for our trip and we eventually settled on Kambaku River Sands Lodge in the Timbavati Game Reserve and Umkumbe Bush Lodge at Sabi Sands where we spent three nights in each location. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to initially cancel our trip but later recontacted Natasha to see if it would be possible to rebook. She made an exceptional effort on our behalf to reinstate our lodging and flight reservations and responded to numerous questions we had about our trip promptly and thoroughly. Kambaku River Sands was an exceptional lodge with a highly knowledgeable staff and very nice accommodations. We saw abundant wildlife on the game drives and enjoyed our guide, Palance, whose commentary was both informative and lively. Our experience at Umkumbe was less satisfactory, however, due mainly to the limitations of the game drives that were restricted to the lodge's property which is much smaller than the area available to the Kambaku lodge, which is part of the large game reserve property at Timbavati shared by other lodges in the region. Umkumbe Bush Lodge offers a beautiful garden setting in the camp and the food was quite good, but overall it did not compare with what we experienced at Kambaku. Nonetheless, we truly enjoyed our safari and thank Natasha for helping us organize it.

Very professional, organized and perfectly planed trip to Kenya
5/5

We were a group of 6 and we spent time in Karen in Nairobi as well as Safari at different camps. Our trip was well planned and perfectly managed by Sun Safaris. All properties and guides on safari were top notch and wonderful. Everyone aims to please and there is over the top awesome food, beverages and service. Fourth time in Africa and first time to Kenya and I would return in a heartbeat. Many thanks for memories of a lifetime:)

Wonderful Experience
5/5

While planning our safari, I reached out to several tour operators, but Natasha at Sun Safaris quickly distinguished herself. She wasn’t just very responsive—she was the only one who provided a fully itemized breakdown of every aspect of the trip: lodges, private vehicle, road transfers, regional flights, and more. This level of transparency gave me the flexibility to compare her quotes with published rates and even book certain components myself to fine-tune our itinerary and reduce costs. No other company offered this kind of openness or adaptability. In the end, our total expenses were several thousand dollars less than the other packaged tours I had considered—many of which had similar or even inferior itineraries. Natasha made the entire planning process far more enjoyable and stress-free...

She helped us organize a six-night stay in South Africa’s Sabi Sands Game Reserve, which we split between two lodges: four nights at Inyati Game Lodge and two nights at Umkumbe Bush Lodge. Looking back, we feel incredibly fortunate with our time at Inyati. Over the course of eight game drives, we were lucky enough to see all of the “Magnificent Seven” up close—lion, leopard, elephant, African buffalo, rhino, cheetah, and African wild dog—in addition to an abundance of other more common wildlife. With the exception of wild dogs, cheetahs, and a single male lion sighting, we saw the rest of the Big Five multiple times on different drives.

Unfortunately, our luck didn’t quite continue at Umkumbe. Apart from a brief leopard sighting, most of what we saw on our four game drives there were elephants and more common wildlife like impalas, wildebeest, etc. In hindsight, we wish we had spent all six nights at Inyati, even though it was more than twice the price. The difference in experience was significant: Umkumbe’s traversing area is relatively small, and they don’t share access with neighboring luxury lodges. While the staff and the guides were all incredibly kind and welcoming and the lodge itself was nice, the guides seemed younger and didn't seem as proactive in tracking wildlife off-road.

Huge thanks to Natasha and the Sun Safaris team for making this trip possible—we couldn’t have done it without you...

A 10 out of 10!
5/5

This might sum up my experience…I started planning my next trip with Sun Safari the day I returned home from my first trip with them in April, 2025! My trip far exceeded my expectations. The Machaba Camps we visited were the perfect fit for our group. Beautiful camps and facilities, wonderful people, great food and outstanding game viewing. I’m still dreaming of Botswana. Thank you Brett and Natasha!

Brett was attentive, and dealt with all the 'little' things that made the experience special.
5/5

This was a our first safari (trip to Africa) and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We wanted to spend some time, on the front end, in Cape Town and Sun Safaris up all our tours (Table Mtn., the Wine Country, Cape of Good Hope, Robin Island- at a reasonable rate) and made good restaurant recommendations. They set us up at Machaba camps each one was different) within Botswana, and they were all first rate operations. All the staff, from the dishwashers to our guides/trackers were friendly and knowledgeable. We also met many interesting people (that weren't from the States, which made the trip interesting on another level. We thought the value for the money we paid was reasonable. My wife is already planning our return visit in 2027!
