Good price and beautiful park
The park is truly beautiful. Compared to other safaris, we had never seen so many animals in one day (we were there in march). Our guide was a really good driver and he was decent at spotting animals. We had another guide for a while who was much more enthusiastic and lively though.
We booked a private tour, but due to car problems or other issues, we had to share most of the time with other people in the car.
A friend of a friend recommended doing the budget option, but specifically the lenchada camp wasn’t too great. It’s very basic. It is okay if you prepare well for camping, but we didn’t receive much info beforehand.
The value for price of the whole trip overall was good, cheaper than many other options. But I would recommend the mid range if possible for your budget, other travellers said their lodges were great. Or maybe if they choose another budget camp it can be better. Communications with tour operator was great, very quick reply’s and was flexible.
Overall we enjoyed the experience.

Xavier is on top of his game!
I’m a regular client of Solo Safaris and for the the three years I’ve reached out to them to plan my out of town trips, I’ve never been disappointed. Xavier is always hands on and quick in responses. I highly recommend planning your vacations with him.
First Safari Experience
The online booking, communication during the booking process, before the safari and the whole experience - it was fast, professional and transparent. Our driver/guide was very eager to make sure that we get the best experience and don’t miss anything in this wide and beautiful national park. We’ve stayed in Jambo Camp. The accommodation was spacious, clean, the camp had everything that you need and the buffet was diverse and the food tasted good.

Amazing experience, very professional approach and a very friendly tour guide!
Really happy we booked with this operator. We got picked up from our hotel at the exact time. Our guide was amazing all around, very friendly, explaining to us, good energy. He was very accommodating to our needs. His driving was exceptional, which we feel very grateful for (seeing that some other cars got stuck in the mud). The communication with the operator was clear and very easy. Strongly recommended.

An unforgettable Safari experience: exceptional from start to finish
My experience with Solo Safari Update was excellent from start to finish. Communication was incredibly fast and professional, Xavier sent two detailed quotes very quickly and answered all my questions right away. He was flexible, responsive, and very easy to deal with.
Everything was perfectly organized and reliable. The safari itself was unforgettable—our guide was amazing and went above and beyond to ensure we saw the Big Five, which we did on the very first afternoon! The hotels were fantastic, and the overall experience was outstanding.
I would recommend Solo Safari with my eyes closed!

An Unforgettable Safari Experience in Kenya, Strongly recommended
We chose the tour operator for our 4days safari in Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru. The price was reasonable for midrange package and Xavier answered all our questions patiently. Our driver was professional and we had a great time together in the group and received much information about the animals.
I highly recommend this tour agent

Unprofessional
We paid $1,200 for a 3-day Masai Mara safari and had a very disappointing, and at times, unsafe experience.
The guide provided little actual guiding or group management. For most of the trip, the vehicle felt like a party bus rather than a professional safari.
More concerning were the safety issues:
• the guide drank beer before driving
• frequently used his phone while driving
• failed to manage disruptive behavior
• at the end of the trip, we were dropped off at a gas station on the side of the highway and told to take an Uber instead of being transported to our accommodation as arranged.
The company later acknowledged the problem and suspended the guide, but refused any refund or compensation.
This was a once-in-a-lifetime trip that fell far below professional standards. I would not book with them again.

Amazing! Very helpful, organises everything and kept in contact
This is a delayed review but I wanted to share how brilliant this experience was. I was a solo traveller in June and contacted Xavier. He made me feel comfortable and safe and arranged everything with his team member James. James was the driver and again went above and beyond to ensure I had a great time with my group. I would recommend a group as you make new connections and memories with other like minded people. Lots of phot opportunities too. Value of money was brilliant so go for it!

The best
My Wasini Island experience was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Communication was clear and timely, the team was incredibly friendly and professional, and every part of the tour ran smoothly without a single delay. The service felt personalized, the activities were well-organized, and the entire day delivered excellent value for money. From the punctual pick-up to the comfortable drop-off, everything was reliable and seamless, making this one of the most stress-free and enjoyable tours I’ve ever taken. I would highly recommend it to any traveler looking for a smooth, memorable, and well-coordinated Wasini adventure.
