Five Stars Treat
My husband and I went on a weeklong safari in Tanzania to Tarangire NP, Serengeti NP and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We booked with Gecko Adventure Tanzania following the recommendation of our friends who had been on safari with Gecko Adventures Tanzania last summer. Booking with Rama was easy as he was readily available to guide us with information as we worked on an itinerary that suited us.
The actual safari was mind blowing! It was well planned with game drives to the parks and accommodations in five star hotels and lodges. Out of the 4 places that we stayed in the Melia Serengeti and Manor in Ngorongoro were unmatched in terms of the overall experience.
The best part of our safari was our personal guide Juma. He is incredibly talented as a guide and knows how to keep the guests captivated and comfortable at all times. The hot air balloon was another highlight of our safari. We really enjoyed ourselves and were sad to leave Tanzania.

Excellent Safari Trip To Selous, Mikumi and Ruaha
Booking with Gecko Adventure Tanzania was the best decision that we took regarding our safari to Tanzania through Selous, Ruaha and Mikumi. Rama took care of all the details so that we did not have to worry about anything but just enjoyed ourselves. We enjoyed exploring the parks with Musa as he took us from one adventure spot to the next. Musa must be the best guide that we have ever been on safari with because his knowledge of the wild animals and the ecosystems that we visited was impressive, he was solid on the roads and made great company with his unending stories that kept us captivated and hooked to him.
These parks are totally different from those in the Northern circuit, very well preserved and have very few visitors. We definitely enjoyed camping in the bush as nothing can beat sleeping under canvas in the bush. So exciting! The food was great and we really enjoyed this trip.

Incredible Safari in Tanzania
We spent 4 days exploring the vast Selous Game Reserve in Tanzania and it is a safari that we will live to remember. Our guide Jaisi was friendly and thoroughly knowledgeable about the park and its entire biosphere. He taught us so much about the animals, land, history, plants and the different animals that populate the park. His passion to please and wow us was clearly evident as he spared no effort to give us what we wanted.
We had spoke with Rama while making the reservations and he was professional. His suggestions were great and he was key to getting us great discounts at the Rufiji River Camp where we stayed for 2 nights and then mixed it off with camping in a campsite deep in the park.
I must say that the game viewing was exceptional and we loved the great diversity of plants, animals and birds in the park. The boat safari along River Rufiji was awesome too.
I highly rate this trip and we awe the wonderful experience to the great work put in by the entire Gecko Adventure Tanzania team.

Incredible and Unforgettable Experience
The trip to Selous and Mikumi was well organized and flowed smoothly like clockwork. Nothing proved to be a problem as they had planned for everything; transport, accommodation, permits, activities down to the last detail. We enjoyed the game drives in with our guide Bamasai. He knew his way around the parks such that we moved from one great spot to the next. He answered our questions satisfactorily and he gave us the chance to enjoy the experience. To be honest these parks had little human traffic and are really well preserved.

Camping Safari in Tanzania
My husband wen to Tanzania over Easter where we explored the huge Selous National Park with guide Otto of Gecko Adventure Tanzania. Otto was the hero for this trip as went out of his way to make it an enjoyable adventure. He took us to all the nice spots where we found interesting wildlife. He also knew how to track the wild animals and he was rarely wrong, his many years of guiding visitor in Selous proved worthwhile.
His knowledge for about the animals, their habits and the park's ecosystem was unrivaled and he freely shared it as he answered our questions or narrated past experiences. We also sampled the boat ride along Rufiji River and it was epic. We did camping which was totally thrilling.
I highly recommend Gecko Adventure Tanzania as one of the best tour operators in Tanzania.

A Memorable and Exciting Safari
It was a wonderful safari in Tanzania with Gecko Adventure Tanzania. Right from the planning, preparation and the actual execution, it was all perfect. Our Trip Organizer Rama was wonderful and profesional. He helped us craft an itinerary that had all the activities that that we wanted and within our budget. He made sure that we got good quality lodges for very reasonable costs.
Our guide was wonderful, actually he's the reason that we had such an amazing trip. Juma gave us a perfect safari and I can definitely say that it was worth every penny and much more.
We have to do a longer trip in Selous and Ruaha next time because these parks have so much to see.

A totally Fun Trip
Our trip would not have been so much fun without Baraka our guide. He took us through all the beautiful spots in Selous, Mikumi and Ruaha National Parks and just like Rama had promised he was outstanding. Being with him was like being inside the making of an Animal Planet episode. He knew where to find the animals, about the animals and how to best position the vehicle so that we had great views and shots too.
We have not been to the parks in the South and they are epic. You do not get the wildebeest migration like in the Serengeti but the variety and peace in the south makes game viewing a intimate affair with little no crowding.
We did a camping safari which was so experiential and connecting us more with nature.

Fun Adventure
We were happy to be reunited with our favourite guide Otto in Selous Tanzania. We did 5 days and still could not get enough of the incredible park.
Camping in the bush made the experience so magical as we felt more closely connected with nature than if we had stayed in the lodges. The boat tours and fishing in Rufiji were excellent activities that supplemented the game drives and the walking tours.
Camping was so much fun and intimate as we were the only people at the campsite. I was very impressed by the quality of the tents and equipment that we had with us. Food was great and the overall experience is so unique and well curated.

Amazing trip
Our weeklong safari with Gecko Adventure Tanzania was actually better than we had expected it to be, and we owe it all to the brilliance of our guide, Juma. He was outstanding as a tracker and spoke in perfect English in a way that made everything seem important. He was attentive to our questions, patient at the interesting sites, and a witty storyteller who kept us captivated throughout the entire period.
We are pleased that we chose to stay at the lodges and hotels that Ramadhan, our contact person and trip designer, proposed because we got very good deals for them, and they were top-notch accommodations.
I wouldn't change anything about this wonderful safari.

Amazing Adventure
We just returned from a safari in Selous with guide Otto from Gecko Adventure Tanzania. I can happily say that it was truly an extraordinary experience from start to finish. Rama was an excellent host and travel designer; every aspect of the trip was meticulously organized, exceeding our expectations. We are happy with our choice of lodge, as it impressed us with both comfort and location. Otto has visited the park numerous times, so he comfortably guided us to all the incredible spots. The park is pristine with few visitors, making the game viewing experience remarkable. We loved the boat safari and sport fishing on the River Rufiji, as it was truly awesome.
