Our 9 days with Wild Experience Safaris and Tours was one of the most powerful travel experiences we have ever had. From the beginning, John organized everything perfectly. The planning was clear, smooth, and thoughtful, and we felt confident that we were in good hands before we even arrived.
But what truly made this safari exceptional was our guide, Ren. He is incredibly smart and has a deep, almost instinctive understanding of the bush. His ability to read tracks, notice subtle movements in the grass, and anticipate where animals might appear amazed us every single day.
Ren did not just show us wildlife, he told us their stories. When we found lion cubs playing near a kopje, he explained how they were learning to stalk and how the pride structure works. When we spotted a leopard resting in a tree, he shared a story about how elusive they are and how patience is the key to finding them. Seeing that leopard slowly climb down at sunset was one of the most beautiful wildlife moments we have ever experienced.
One of the most special sightings was a rhino grazing peacefully in the distance. Ren had been scanning the area carefully and suddenly positioned the vehicle perfectly so we could watch quietly without disturbing it. That moment felt rare and meaningful.
Over the nine days, we saw elephants dust bathing, giraffes moving gracefully across the plains, buffalo gathering in impressive herds, cheetahs watching the horizon, hyenas lurking patiently, hippos crowded in rivers, and countless zebras and wildebeest stretching across the landscape. Every day had a different energy and rhythm. It never felt repetitive.
The luxury lodges were beautiful and comfortable, offering the perfect place to relax after long days in the wild. Evenings were peaceful, often spent reflecting on the incredible sightings while listening to the sounds of nature around us.
