very good tour operator
5/5

Visited Tsavo West, Amboseli, Nakuru and Masia Mara the amin target for about 10 days to see the migration in peak season. The tour was last minute and arrangements went back and forth. Reservations were confirmed at the last minute. We had a great guide and driver in Mr. Mike in for 8 days. He was very good and professional and personable. Knew the parks and the wildlife very well and was excellent in tacking. it was because of him we could see a river crossing as a more secluded place on the Sand River rather than the over crowded and touristed mara river banks as he could time when a heard far away will cross in about few hrs. He also help us see a early morning hunt in Amboseli and tried his best to track leopards and back rhinos in Nakuru and Mara.
The tour operator Noha has been recommended to us by few friends who has used his services and was satisfied since 2018. Very nice, soft spoken and very accommodative.

Places of Stay: Tsavo- Serena Lodge, Amboseli- Ol- Tuki Lodge, Nakuru-Lake Nakuru Lodge, were all excellent and on the expensive side for last moment booking of cancelled spots. Mara-Camp Kipekee on the eastern side gate- absolutely new Swiss tents with flush toileyt and nice shower zone separate-we were the only residents as it just opened a month ago-isolated in a Masai village- cons: runs on a generator and electricity is rationed e.g. 5 AM- ? we left by 6;30 AM each day and evening 5;30 PM to 10 PM after that pitch dark. Hot water available for shower in AM and PM when we were there but because of cold the night person had to flush the hot pipes at 5 AM. Limited resources at kitchen but very nice people- they catered to all our food restrictions and the chef preparation

The best company to give you a ride to see all the animals and the drivers are wonderful.
5/5

We went on a 13 day trip to see the wildbeast cross the Mair River and what a show we saw. Plus we witness an Elephant show and a Lion show that nature put on for us. Over the 13 days we saw so many animals, birds and the county that we will never forget. The drivers were top people and told us all about the animals. The lodging was in tents but they were the best we had - with great food. we also were treat like a King or Queen by the staffs that make up the enitre tip. I would recomend this trip to anyone!

Note - ask about Visa fees before you go. Aslo take extra money for gifts and tips. Use cash there is not a credit card machine.

Very responsive and caring of neeeds
5/5

I just returned from my safari, and it was truly the realization of a lifelong dream. From start to finish, Wildebeest Safari exceeded all expectations.

Noah, the manager, was outstanding—always quick to respond via email and WhatsApp, incredibly kind, and meticulous in crafting the perfect journey for us. Despite having only six days, we were able to visit multiple parks and witness an incredible variety of wildlife.

Mike, our safari guide and driver, was phenomenal. He was always attentive, making sure we had the best vantage points to observe and photograph the animals. He also prepared us a picnic in Masai Mara and was a very special moment.

For our last two nights, Wildebeest Safari placed us in the most luxurious camp I have ever seen. It was a breathtaking experience, and we all left that place literally sobbing—it was that magical.

I wholeheartedly recommend Wildebeest Safari to anyone looking for an unforgettable safari adventure. This trip was beyond anything I could have imagined, and I am deeply grateful for everyone!

Amazing safari thanks to Geoff
5/5

Amazing safari with our guide Geoff. Made extra effort to make sure the private tour was curated to our liking - changing pick up and drop off times, and trying to find the animals we hoped to see. Had so much energy, experience and enthusiasm; very knowledgeable and dedicated to the job.
Saw incredible animals (thanks to Geoff's experience on the plains).
Hotels are lovely - luxurious tents in amazing places. Zebras came right up to the room.
Noah also very responsive and helpful.
Tailored the safari to our needs. Overall company experience very good.
Would definitely recommend.
Thanks Geoff!

A magical Kenyan safari!
5/5

We had a fantastic five-night safari with Wildebeest that surpassed our expectations, mostly thanks to our excellent driver and guide, Dennis.

From the start, Dennis was professional, communicative, always working to get us the best possible experience (even when circumstances shifted), and above all, a warm and engaging person to spend nearly a week with! At times, Dennis seemed just as excited to be out in the park admiring the animals as we were, even though he has 15 years of experience and we were first-timers. We absolutely loved his enthusiasm, it was infectious! And if you like to take photos, you will love having Dennis as your guide, because he cares about getting you the closest shot in the best possible light (while being safe for you and the animals, and remaining courteous to other groups). He seemed to have a special knack for knowing exactly where animals would be, and in more than a few cases, we were the first car to arrive, and if not the first, often the best positioned. I still can’t believe some of the photos we came home with. If the moment is particularly special, you might even see him taking a few photos, too! We were also very impressed with his commitment to learning and prioritizing what we most wanted to see: big cats, in our case. He kept his ear to the ground the whole trip, uncovering any tips he could from other guides. And he was successful: we saw five cheetahs, a male lion, and a pride of three lionesses and four cubs — and we got so much time with them, and were so close! It was magical, and I firmly believe we wouldn’t have had such spectacular encounters without Dennis. We also saw tons of other wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, hyenas, warthogs, wildebeests, hippos, crocodiles, and countless gazelles and birds — all of which Dennis seems to have a near-encyclopedic knowledge of, answering our many questions with knowledgeable answers, and looking things up when he didn't know. Truly, Dennis is tireless in ensuring you have a great time!

I also appreciated working with Noah. He, too, was communicative and especially helpful regarding pricing and payment. (And Happiness was great, too; she got all our lodging squared away, getting us everything we wanted.) We looked at numerous other companies, and Wildebeest was, by far, the easiest to book with at a reasonable price point. They also were able to process payment via Wise, whereas some other companies wanted us to make a direct wire transfer — something we weren’t easily able to do from a U.S.-based bank.

Notes for other safari planners reading these reviews: we loved our stays at Kibo (Amboseli), Naivasha Sopa Lodge, and Basecamp (Maasai Mara). And trust me, you want two nights minimum at Maasai Mara, maybe more! The park is huge, and there is so much to see. If I was doing this trip over again, I might’ve spent three nights in Mara. One other tip for other safari travelers, bring ear plugs. Some camps are a bit noisy due to animal activity, which is part of the thrill of staying there, but I would’ve slept better if I’d brought them.

I should also note that the Wildebeest team made all this happen on a short timeline! We booked in December for a January trip, and I was so pleased with how Wildebeest made the trip of our dreams work on relatively short notice. I also now know that January is a wonderful time to go on safari, at least in Kenya! The weather was good, the crowds were not too big, and according to Dennis, it can be a “high conflict” time for the wildlife, meaning you may see some great animal action, and we did!

One small thing: more information earlier in the process about activities available outside the pre-paid package would be helpful. We had the opportunity to do several extra activities, like a boat ride, a walking safari, a bike ride, and a Maasai village visit. Some of these we knew about beforehand; others we did not. But most had fees attached, and though these fees were small, we did not bring enough cash. We ended up having to go to an ATM mid-week, which worked out, but if we’d known about these activities and costs in advance, we would've been better prepared and better able to prioritize which we wanted to do most. This was not a big deal, though!

In summary, don’t hesitate to book with Wildebeest and Dennis. You will have the time of your life on safari, and you’ll be taken care of by a professional and passionate team!

Wildebeest went above and beyond, we were extremely happy with our trip
5/5

Naoh was easy to communicate with to design our trip. He provided great options for us. Our trip was a total of 21 days. We spent about two weeks in Kenya and one week in Tanzania. We had a total of 4 driver/guides. While all were good, Dennis stood out. He was enthusiastic and engaged in the pursuit of animals to see. He was attentive to the radio in the Land cruiser so we knew where to go for sitings. He was excellent at positioning our truck for a good view AND good lighting for photos while being polite to other tourists. On the few occasions when there were a lot of trucks at a site he did a great job of not getting us blocked in and knew when to leave so we were not stuck there. He had a great rapport with other guides so his information was up to date. When you are out there in the parks having a guide like Dennis makes all the difference in what you see. You can tell he personally cares about the animals and the parks. He has his own digital camara and really got into the sites with us. He was sensitive to how long WE wanted to linger, but also good at helping us know that we should stay or keep looking. His knowledge of the animals and their likely next move kept us in the best positions for viewing. Our experience was always Dennis's top priority. He is full of information about the animals and very good at birds. Just when you don't think there is anything to see, he points out a pair of vultures perched together. We talked to other tourists at the lodges and I got the feelings some of the guides from other companies were just not that great. They didn't seem to see as much in the same two or three hours that we did. We highly recommend Wildebeest and their crew. Thank you for a great experience.

Wonderful Safari experience with an excellent guide and for a very reasonable price.
5/5

My wife and I cannot express enough how happy we were for choosing Wildebeest Safari for our honeymoon!! We struggled for a long time to find what we were looking for - an AUTHENTIC African experience, but yet with comfort; and professionalism… When you search online from the United States, all you get are consultants trying to sell you overpriced luxury so they get the most profit.

When we came across Noah from Wilderbeest, it all changed. He really understood what we were looking for, worked with us for a customized itinerary, and worked within an acceptable price range. We stayed in excellent lodges, had a private Safari car with an excellent guide who was able to spot all the Big 5 for us, and we were treated in both a friendly and professional manner at all times!!

Noah was also super flexible adjusting the cancellation rules (I could only confirm 60 days in advance due to my job), and we really appreciated that!

Our guide Dennis was just amazing. We asked specifically for him after reading an excellent review online, and it was the best decision. He was always absolutely on time, with the Safari car very well cleaned for us. He communicated with other guides to find the best animal sightings, and when we got to the sightings, was always proactive to get us the best position for pictures. He organized for a lunch picnics with full Safari table in the middle of the Masai Mara! He was super knowledgeable explaining about the various animals, and super patient with us!! We never felt rushed and could enjoy our sightings with full leisure!! And once Dennis realized I enjoyed ending the day with a cold beer and a sunset view, he would organize for a cooler with ice (believe me, in Africa that’s NOT just going to CVS and buying ice!!) and find the most amazing viewpoints for the sunsets!!

Dennis was also flexible, proposing and helping us make changes to the plan which were super smart (less time on Amboseli as we were elephanted out, more time for Nairobi national park). And he was a great company for my wife and I to share 10 days of our lives with fun stories and great camaraderie!!

In summary, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND Wildebeest Safari for your trip!!!

Enjoy and JAMBO JAMBO!!

5/5

I travelled with my family of 8 in the month of August. It was the best trip I’ve had till date thanks to Wildebeest Safaris, especially our contact person “Noah”, who was extremely helpful, available for contact for all queries at all times. Our guides/drivers James and Jeff, were very well versed in the game drive and were very polite.
Ours is a vegetarian Indian family, and our dietary needs were very well planned and communicated. I would totally recommend wildebeest safaris for making our trip a dream trip, if I have ever come back will definitely be contacting them.
