Awesome experience!
5/5

There were so many choices for safaris tour operators but we ended up choosing Bright African Safaris because of their promptness to answering all of our questions with details. The cost of for 2 of us for a 7 days private safari tour in September 2014 was very reasonable! We were impressed with them the moment we landed at the airport. Msangi met us at the airport, apologized for not being able to accomodate us at the hotel he promised initially and told us that he had to put us else where. We were happy with that lodging as well as all other lodging accomodations he chose for us. We had Othuman as our guide and he was wonderful as well. We saw so many animals on our trip. There are so many "Oh WOW!!" moments -- ex: being able to see lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalos and leopard up close (less than 5 feet away!!) The only thing we did not see was a rhino but no one else saw one either during the time we went. =) The only thing I wish we did was to add "cultural" part to our tour, so we can taste some of the real Tanzanian foods, instead of Western foods at the lodges. Overall, VERY satisfied with Msangi and his staff!

Bright African Safaris
5/5

My husband and I have travelled to over 45 countries and have experienced may varieties of travel/adventure (my husband is 74 and I am 69). We both consider our safari with BAS the one that was most exciting for us.
The experience with them was one we will never forget. Their service was way beyond what we
expected. Our guide, Salim, spoke very good English (+ he spoke French) and went out of his way
to show us the Big Five and MORE! He said that he wouldn't be satisfied unless we saw everything
and so we did.
The owner, Msangi answered every e-mail question we asked, right away. He was very thorough
with all the info that we wanted before leaving and also met us at the hotel when we arrived and saw us off when we left.
The safari and accommodations we arranged were luxury tenting and we were both very happy with our choice. It was definitely 'luxury tenting' - with all the hotel amenities.

Our Safari with Bright African Safaris was amazing!!!
5/5

An African Safari has been on our bucket list for many years. In 2014 we started looking at different safari companies and found they varied significantly in price and services. After contacting many companies, we chose Bright African Safaris, a locally owned company. Our contact, Msangi Charema was prompt in answering our questions and listened to our wants. With his knowledge of the wide variety of places to visit, he put together our trip of a lifetime. Once we were in Tanzania, our guide, Amir, was the best - friendly and accommodating, with the eyes of a hawk and knowledge of the animals. We traveled in September 2014 and the wildlife viewing was amazing!! We saw elephants, zebras, lions, wildebeest, giraffes, and many smaller animals every day.

Very happy with Bright African Safaris
5/5

When I contacted a few safari companies to arrange a six-day tour of Tanzania’s northern parks in September 2014, Mr. Msangi Charema at Bright African Safaris stood out for his prompt, friendly, and upbeat response. I chose to book my trip through him, and I am happy I did. From our first email to my last day when Msangi himself drove me to the airport (he also met me upon my arrival), it was a pleasure to work with him. With limited knowledge and research, I proposed a preliminary itinerary which Msangi was happy to fulfill, but he was quick to suggest alternatives he believed would improve my experience. I am so glad that he did, because it was his advice that really made the trip special. He insisted that I see the Serengeti when I at one point considered missing it due to distances and my limited time. The Serengeti turned out to be the crown jewel of the trip, and knowing what I know now, I would not have missed it for anything. This year, the rains - and animals - remained concentrated around my central Serengeti camp, making for an incredible wildlife spectacle. In early negotiations when I suggested a change to smaller, more unique accommodations, Msangi provided a range of interesting options, and the lodges and camps I chose were all wonderful experiences. My guide Masatu was also a joy to be with. He is a happy, gregarious man with many friends in Arusha and the guide community, and is a courteous, friendly, and fun companion. Thank you Masatu and Msangi!

Trip of a lifetime
5/5

Just returned from a 6 day safari with Bright African Safaris which started on the 1st September 2014. A truly memorable experience. Couldn't fault the service offered by Msangi and his team. Bright African Safaris were prompt and efficient at answering all our pre-safari queries and the service provided by our guide, Othman, whilst on safari was second to none.

Nothing was too much trouble throughout our trip and we felt very well looked after. We would definitely recommend to other travellers.

Our excellent tour guide and driver took us on a wildlife safari that was a trip of a lifetime.
5/5

We were very satisfied with Bright African Safaris. We saw lots of big game, and beautiful scenery. Our guide and driver (Juma) was excellent. Not only was he very knowledgeable about wildlife, he was friendly and eager to take us everywhere to see the animals at the best possible locations.

Experience of safari and stay organised by Bright Safari
4/5

Our safari guide Salim was very good on all the 3 parks vsited, very knowledgeable and made sure we drove around to see as many wild life as possible. The pick up from Arusha airport and drop off back to airport was all arranged by BS.
We had an issue with the first night hotel in Arusha, and when we expressed our concern to Msangi Charema the owner of BS, he transfered us on the 3rd night to the Olerai Lodge which was top class.
I will recommend BS as a company with integrity.

More than we expected
4/5

We were a group of 7 people and shared a common dream of visiting Africa. It came true recently when we made a trip to Northern Tanzania. We started with contacting several tour operators and finally zeroed in to Bright. From our first email exchange with them, we felt a positive vibe and hoped that we can partner with them. Msangi is the owner of the company and a wonderful person. He chalked out a initial draft of the itinerary and asked for our suggestions. We suggested few changes and he incorporated them all. Special mention should be made of Lake Natron. Lake Natron is an off beat attraction with no proper connectivity. Most of the tour operators were not ready to cover this place and discouraged us from going there. But Msangi readily agreed to it without a slight hesitation. This is what was really the deciding factor in the favour of Bright. And we are thankful that he agreed to take us here; for this place is really unique in its landscape and a different world compared to other parts of Tanzania. You can see Ol Doinyo Lengai (Mountain of God) - an active volcano on way to Lake Natron and drive through volcanic ash strewed paths. Feel free to call him up to discuss your plans as I did. Everything was arranged meticulously and per the plan agreed upon. We all flew in from different parts of the worlds and arrived in different times. Separate pickups were sent to the airport and one even at midnight. We visited Tarangire NP, Lake Manyara NP, Lake Natron NP, central and western Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. The vehicle provided was in top shape, fitted with charging points and a minibar. The lodges we stayed were all very good and top quality. To be frank given our budget, we were overly surprised at the quality of the accommodation provided. And finally special mention must be made of Osman, our guide. You will be lucky to have him as your guide. He is a very pleasant person with a smile on his lips always. He is very knowledgeable about the wildlife and would patiently answer all our questions. He is a very good spotter and spotted a lioness on a tree top at Serengeti which just blew our minds off. He is also a good and safe driver as we came to know when we drove to Lake Natron. Overall, it was a wonderful trip, much beyond our expectations. Asante Sana Osman, Msangi and Bright African Safaris.

unforgettable experience
4/5

My husband and I went on a 7 day safari to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Lake Eyasi, Serengeti, and Nrongoro Crater with Bright African Safaris. I started pricing safaris and comparing itineraries from home about 6 months before the trip. Msangi Charema from Bright African Safaris stood out from all the other companies with his rapid and detailed responses to my questions. The price was reasonable for the two of us going on safari on our own with our own guide and cook. We had an amazing trip! Modhi was our guide and Jamal our cook. Modhi was a wealth of information about all the animals we saw. And the birds! He knew everything about every bird and could name the type of bird even when seen from super far away. We saw over 50 lions in the Serengeti and Nrongoro in 2 days! Jamal was a great cook who accommodated both my vegetarian needs and my husband's carnivorous preferences. I have already recommended this company to friends. I would be happy to go on safari every day, I miss my time in Tanzania!

Amazing expirience with Bright African Safaris
4/5

In March 2016, my husband and I went on a private 5 day wildlife safari in Tanzania with Bright African Safaris. We were very pleased with the accommodations, national parks visited, and most importantly, our excellent guide and driver, Juma. He made every effort to show us his beautiful country and the awesome wildlife that call it home. We saw 4 of the "big 5" on our very first day of the safari! By the end of our journey, Juma found the elusive rhino through much patience and what we believe to have been his sixth sense. He was wonderful; very knowledgeable and friendly. On a side note, we mentioned that we were interested in the local nomadic tribe, the Maasai. So, on our last day with Juma, he stopped by one of the villages for us to visit. It was such a memorable experience to have this opportunity to meet the people who call the Tanzanian wilderness home, as well. They welcomed us with ceremonial dance and song, and were pleased to show us around. It was truly a trip of a lifetime for us! Thank you Bright African Safaris!
