An unforgettable safari with a guide (Kush) who truly goes the extra mile
We had an amazing 7-day private safari with Kush from JungleRoam, visiting Samburu, Hell’s Gate and the Masai Mara, and could not have asked for a better experience. A huge part of that was our guide, Kush, who really was the definition of going the extra mile.
From the beginning, Kush did everything he could to help us get the absolute maximum out of our safari. We usually entered the parks as early as possible and stayed until the last possible minute. He planned the routing extremely well, making sure we arrived and left at the right times, and was always flexible in adapting the days to what we wanted to see.
What we especially appreciated was that it never felt like we were simply ticking animals off a checklist. Kush regularly asked us what we were interested in and gave us plenty of time to actually observe the animals and their behaviour instead of immediately rushing to the next sighting. His passion for wildlife was obvious. He explained the animals, their behaviour and the environment in great detail, and you could really see how much he cares about them.
One particularly intense moment in Samburu showed us just how much he cares. We were watching a cheetah with its cub when it suddenly started walking towards a group of lions. One of the lions spotted the cheetah and immediately began chasing it. Everything happened incredibly quickly. Kush instantly got in touch with the other vehicles around us and helped coordinate an intervention to separate the lion and the cheetah. It was a very intense experience to witness, and his quick reaction may well have saved the cheetah’s life. Given how vulnerable cheetah populations are, we greatly appreciated how seriously Kush took the situation and how quickly he acted.
He was also constantly scanning for wildlife and somehow seemed to spot animals everywhere. Whenever there was an interesting sighting, he gave everything to get us into a good position, often before many of the other vehicles arrived. During the week we saw lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hyenas, crocodiles, hippos, ostriches, vultures, lots of different gazelles and all of the Samburu Special Five.
We were also lucky enough to experience some really memorable moments, including predators feeding on their kill, lions mating and warthogs with tiny piglets.
For anyone interested in photography, he is an excellent guide as well. He regularly gave us tips, positioned the Land Cruiser so we had the best possible light at sunrise and sunset, adjusted the vehicle whenever the animals moved, and anticipated where they were likely to go next. On several occasions this meant we had exactly the right angle when, for example, a lion suddenly turned or started walking towards us.
The three parks also complemented each other really well. Samburu gave us the arid landscapes and the Samburu Special Five, Hell’s Gate was completely different with the cycling safari, and the Masai Mara was incredible for the big cats. We genuinely enjoyed all three rather than feeling that one was just included as a stop on the way to another.
Our private Land Cruiser for the two of us was clean, spacious and very well equipped. There were power ports, a good pop-up roof, reclining seats, plenty of drinking water, picnic blankets and camping chairs. Kush also consistently found great places inside the parks for breakfast and lunch, which made the game-drive days even more enjoyable.
And despite the long days, there was never a shortage of entertainment. Kush was constantly joking and made us laugh throughout the week. If you appreciate sarcasm, he is definitely your guy.
The only small thing we think JungleRoam could improve is Payment option. It was either in cash or by online transfer with an additional 5% surcharge, neither of which is particularly convenient for a safari of this value. It would be great to have an easier card/payment option without such a high surcharge.
Thats only a minor point compared with what was an exceptional safari. Kush put an enormous amount of effort into making the seven days special for us, and it genuinely felt like he cared about us having the best possible experience rather than simply completing an itinerary.
We would absolutely recommend JungleRoam, and especially Kush. If we were to do another safari in Kenya, we would happily book with them again - and would definitely ask for Kush as our guide. Thanks, Kush for making us feel like family.

Well organized, responsive, and easy to travel with.
Overall, we had a very pleasant experience with Axis Africa Expeditions & Safaris. Communication before the trip was smooth and responsive, and the accommodation recommendations were good. The whole journey was well organized and went according to plan, which made the trip feel easy and stress-free.
Our guide, Kelvin, was friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the trip. He often helped us find good spots to take photos, and we really appreciated that.

Incredible 7 days- Kenya Safari Trip
We had an amazing 7-day family trip to Kenya with Incredible Africa Adventures. We travelled with our kids from Dubai and visited Lake Naivasha, Crescent Island, Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara and Amboseli National Park. We also enjoyed a wonderful Maasai cultural tour.
Everything was very well organized and we had a great experience from start to finish.
Our driver & tour guide Mr. David was one of the best parts of the trip. He was very friendly, helpful, patient with the kids and very knowledgeable about the animals and the parks. He made our safari experience very special.
We also really liked having our own private safari vehicle. It gave us the freedom to enjoy the safari at our own pace and was very comfortable for our family.
The stays were also excellent. The accommodations were comfortable, beautiful, and in great locations especially in Masai Mara. We really enjoyed staying close to nature and waking up to the amazing views.
Overall, we are very happy with Incredible Africa Adventures. They made our family trip easy, comfortable, and memorable. Our kids had a wonderful time, and we made so many beautiful memories together.
