Go the extra mile!
5/5

Extraordinary Ethiopia Tours was a wonderful tour operator during my time in Lalibela. The guide, Ermiyas, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. His love and passion for the town and especially the churches shines through. When some activities did not work out as planned, EET went out of their way to find alternative options for me. Great experience for a solo traveller!

Great experience, great team
5/5

When we decided to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, we wanted to go with a local Tanzanian company. Our research led us to Kiliclimb, and we were very happy with our experience with the Kiliclimb Team. There was friendly, helpful, concise and timely communication with Janeth as we planned our trip from afar. They created a WhatsApp group so everyone could exchange as we planned our safari and the Kilimanjaro trek. The team answered all our questions withing hours if not minutes. They also provided brief updates to my wife while we were on the trek. We met with Moses from the Kiliclimb office and Baraka, the lead guide, the day before we started our adventure who briefed us on the climb and together we looked at all our gear to ensure that we were well equipped for the climb. The next day we went from Arusha to the trailhead with the entire team (guide, assistant guide, cook, porters) and started the trek. This was a team effort and everyone on the Kiliclimb Team supported us throughout our journey. The 15 member team was great, each member focused on our safety, comfort, and wellbeing. The team’s work is very difficult, besides carrying our equipment, their equipment, the camp setup, and food/water, there was a “runner” who was off straight away every morning to ensure we would have a good place at the camps. When we arrived at the camps, our tent and a dining tent were in place. The cook and waiter ensured that we had hot drinks on the trail and when we arrived. Considering the logistics of food preparation en route, there was variety on the menu, and the meals were very good. The soups at lunch and dinner were especially good, they immediately took away the cold edge of the rainy days. They spoiled us at night with hot water bottles for our sleeping bags, this was a wonderful surprise! The guides were excellent. They provided information on the mountain, flora, weather, and history of Kilimanjaro and the surrounding area. The team’s welcome to the mountain was special. The guide and the team sang call and response, which was infectious, we danced in the party atmosphere as well with others from surrounding campsites who joined the fun. We felt the genuine warmth of the Tanzanian culture from each member of the team. Considering we were caught in an early rainy season and were soaked most of the time, this never dampened the spirit of the team. The Lomosho trail was challenging and the guides ensured our safety during the ascends (and descends!) on the slippery trails and while scrambling Barranco Wall. Don’t miss kissing rock at the wall! The guides planned the climb to summit so that we arrived at sunrise; the timing was perfect. It was cold, but the sky was clear and we had panoramic views from the summit. The snow, glacier, surrounding volcanic landscape with the rising sun was surreal. The eight days helped with acclimation; we didn’t have any issues arriving at the summit. The last day was bittersweet; we were coming down (literally) and didn’t want our adventure to end. We sang and danced in the morning before we left camp, the team’s spirit carried us down the mountain. We were very happy that we went with a local company and were able to support the people of Tanzania. We appreciated the professionalism, but also the transparency of the Kiliclimb team and being able to give tips to each member of the team individually, which does not necessarily happen with other companies.
One dream, one team!
We highly recommend a trek with the Kiliclimb Team.

Family dream vacation surrounded by the unique beauty of Tanzania's national parks
5/5

Together with my partner and our two kids we enjoyed a 5 days safari and visited:
- Materuni waterfalls, with lunch at the village and coffee experience
- Tarangire national park (1 day)
- Serengeti national park (3 days)
- Ngorongoro crater (1 day)

All admissions fee and meals were already payed in advance, our driver took care of every registration.

We had a private tour on a perfectly equipped Jeep. Our guide Kindu and photographer Thom took care of us and our kids in any possibile way, answering all our questions about animals, trees, people and traditions, lifestyle... They gave us interesting in-sights, adjusted the program and pace to our needs, captured unforgettable memories with amazing pictures and videos.

Everything was perfectly organized, from breakfast until bedtime, therefore we could relax and fully enjoy this unique, intense experience.
We loved the intense beauty of the nature, its incredible richness and variety.
The accomodations were carefully chosen, the rooms clean and nicely decorated, the hotel staff helpful and polite, and the meals delicious and various.

Kindu and Thom are reliable professional with an extensive knowledge and true passion for their jobs. They were always flexible, kind, helpful, smiling even after a long day on the road trying to find the big 5 out there.

We will definitely recommend this experience!

The tour operator made the whole safari experience unforgettable.
5/5

I had an absolutely unforgettable experience on this 6-day safari in Tanzania. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized, and the entire trip exceeded my expectations.
The agency did an outstanding job—every detail was taken care of, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy the beauty of Tanzania’s wildlife and landscapes.
A very special thanks goes to our driver, Richard, who truly made this journey exceptional. [*rudia rudia* 😅] He was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and always went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible experience. His expertise helped us spot so many amazing animals, and his positive attitude made every day even more enjoyable.
I highly recommend this agency to anyone looking for a well-organized and memorable safari adventure. Thank you for an incredible experience!

A kind and honest company
5/5

We made the reservation by sending an email directly from Japan.
There is very little information about Zimbabwe in Japan, so we were very worried about whether it was a legitimate travel agency, but Mr Matt replied promptly and politely, and patiently answered all our questions repeatedly.
As a result, we were able to head to Zimbabwe with peace of mind.

Upon arriving in Zimbabwe, Mr Taf kindly assisted us and provided us with support.
We stayed at the N1 Hotel where this travel agency is located, so we saw him many times after the tour ended, and he always patiently and carefully tried to understand our poor English.

We highly recommend this company.

Very accomodating and honest
5/5

Upcountry Adventure made sure we had a great experience, we did the hot air balloon and saw the Big Five. They made sure to keep my sister and I informed of everything we needed and our itinerary for each day. The guide knew English and we learned so much about the animals, terrain and Tanzanian culture. The price was excellent compared to operators. Definitely suggest using them if you are wanting to see Serengeti, Ngorongoro or any other National Park in Tanzania!

Adaptive, understanding, caring and trustworthy
5/5

With Green Places Adventures it was all very fluent from the start. Elijah was the one to plan it all, a wise and caring professional. He was diligent in answering and adapting the tour while our plans evolved. They offered a very competitive package and were kind to break down the costs for us, so we would make informed decisions when fine-tunning. I do not know how many versions we asked for, but they never had a "no" for a response. Also, you can see they are very experienced because the route recommendations were solid, and the driver/guide was amazing.

Our driver was Evans, a very very experienced guide that explained all details of the animals behaviour, so we could enjoy not just seeing them, but understanding what was happening (a giraffes elegant neck fight, hyenas hunt, elefants protective parenting...).

Some quality details to look for if you are lost comparing packages, that made us choose Green Places Adventures over others: timely answers, game drives also upon arrival to the lodge in the afternoon (some others skip it and it and then may look cheaper, but you miss half day of safari), upgrade when possible and very transparent pricing. And for me, the most important, it's a local agency, so it's all staying in Kenia <3.

About our tour: We had a 7 days safari from Amboseli to Naivasha and Nakuru, then to Masai Mara and back to Nairobi. Amboseli has its own soul, with amazing Kilimanjaro as unique background and a lot of elephants and other big mammals. Naivasha's Crescent Island is a curious thing to experience, especially with kids. Nakuru was the unexpected delight, with a lot of animals including rhinos and lions, beautiful stay. Masai Mara is THE place to go for its vast extension and the savannah landscape we all have in our documentary memories; plus getting to know Masais is the cultural cherry on the cake, Kenia is so much more than just wildlife.
