Amazing camping safari Lake Natron/Serengeti/Ngorongoro Crater
5/5

We had an amazing safari with Quest Horizon Safaris with our guide John and cook Roderick. Quest Horizon Safaris was extremely helpful and quick in helping to set up an itinerary for a one-week camping/budget safari around Lake Natron, Serengeti NP, and the Ngorongora Crater. We were even picked-up at the airport a week before our guided safari and dropped off at the rental company for our self-drive safari - free of costs. A week later we met our guide John and cook Roderick who picked us up at the agreed location for the guided safari. We traveled with a private group of four (family) and traveled in a big 4x4 safari vehicle for eight people completely packed with camping and cooking equipment and some luggage (including 230V for charging phones/cameras/etc.). The safari can simply be described as: Amazing! The guide was very experienced and had a great eye for spotting game even while driving. He was also very patient in explaining many things about the environment, animals, and above all very nice company. The game we have seen was simply never disappointing. Besides huge herds of wildebeests, zebras, antilopes, a leopard upclose tearing apart an antilope, cheetas hunting/eating a fresh kill, a leopard that dragged a lion cub in a tree, a "small" river crossing of zebras between hungry crocodiles, lions passing right by our car, and driving on the plains of the Serengeti and the Crater were among the greatest moments. The food, which was prepared with very basic means, was very good and never the same throughout the whole week. Every day we got a lunch box for during the game drives. During the safari I celebrated my birthday and without notifying in advance I was surprised by a delicious birthday cake! Everything we ate after the safari during the remainder of our holidays in Tanzania didn't compare to Roderick's meals! The camping equipment was fitting our needs and comfortable enough for a 70 year couple. Also the owner of Quest Horizon Safaris came to meet us after the safari and checked whether all went accourding to our wishes. We can nothing but recommend a safari with Quest Horizon Safaris and thank John and Roderick for the amazing trip!

Outstanding - the owners of Wamba Gorilla Tours really do everything to make guests feel welcome!
5/5

I wasn't involved much in the planning of the trip prior to arrival (but was told that it went very smoothly and questions were dealt with very rapidly and professionally) but what I can definitely comment on is the level of expertise and commitment once we arrived:

Wamba Gorilla Tours is run by Immanuel and Sofia. We travelled with Immanuel for the duration of the trip and it is evident that he likes what he is doing and is dedicated to providing guests with a memorable trip. The planning was sound, necessary adaptations were dealt with efficiently and with great committment. And what I consider most valuable of all Immanuel proved to be a very attentive host with good people skills and a great eye for detail. Along the way he would suggest slight changes to the schedule that never disappointed but always lead us closer to a personalised and more enjoyable experience, adapted itinerarys happily to fit our needs and likings and through all of that always was enjoyable company.
Long story short: Thank you Immanuel (& Sofia) for this perfect holiday, I think you're doing an amazing job (in an beautiful country - if you're unsure about whether or not to got to Uganda: I loved it) and I'm very happy to tell fellow travellers just that :-)

We arrived in Nairobi but apart from that Kenya Expresso tours sorted everything - we had no complaints. Great Safari.

Excellent experience - third time is a charm!
5/5

I just returned from accompanying a group to Uganda on mission work. At the end of these trips we always include a safari and I ALWAYS use Jewel Safaris. Dona is excellent at providing exactly what I want and need to make the trip memorable, exciting and safe. Dona is quick to respond to questions and requests and the value we receive for our money is outstanding.

I have had Moses Motavu as a guide each time and this trip we had the added pleasure of Benjamin as our driver! Both of these men are extremely knowledgeable and personable. They proved to be flexible and humorous as well. We had a GREAT time!

I'm returning again in August and will contact Dona and Jewel Safaris again -- and each visit hereafter! Thank you, Dona and your amazing staff!

Kingfischer Safaris organized a 10-days safari in Zimbabwes for us in April 2019. Martin is a professional and very correct person and above all available to clarify all matters. The correspondence is very fast. Tented camps and lodges are charming and equipped with every comfort; the staff are really welcoming and helpful, i felt like i was in family; great food anytime and anywhere. (Fantastic experience was celebrating Easter lunch in Hwange NP with a big table in the middle of the busch all together with guests from other camps, really a beautiful surprise!)
Kingfischer safari organizes your trip in detail, for this I recommend this for your next trip!

Awesome Time - Gorillas Trekking in Uganda and Rwanda Wildlife
5/5

My brother and I had an awesome time trekking for gorillas in Bwindi Uganda and the doing a mix of cultural and wildlife tour in Rwanda. Nicholas helped us in creating our wonderful 6 day itinerary and had great input. For instance the Gorillas permits are cheaper in Uganda. Boaz our guide was outstanding, he took personal responsibility to make our trip fantastic coupled with his easy going nature made the trip extra special. Our tour started in Rwanda where we had a moving visit to the Genocide Memorial, Akagera where we had a great game drive seeing elephant herds, different types of birds, zebras, antelopes and other game, crossed to Uganda spent an amazing day trekking in Bwindi forest in search of the mountain gorillas. When our trackers led us us to the Gorillas high up in the forest, it was an experience second to none. On our ay back to Rwanda we stopped over for an amazing cultural visit in a village (I cannot recall the name) where we had more visits to scenic spots by the twin lakes. My brother are in agreement that this was the best tour experience we've had in a long time.
We fully recommend Devine African Safaris for Rwanda and Uganda tours.

Perfect Kruger park experience
5/5

We had an amazing 5 night trip in the Kruger park. Couldn't believe how many animals we saw! Doug is a very knowledgeable and passionate guide and talked us through many birds and plants etc, far from 9 to 5 as we saw loads of animals from the camp every evening! We saw more than the big 5 - the super 7 (I had never heard of it but it's the big 5 plus cheetah and wild dog!). The accommodation organised felt like we were right in the bush and Helen's food was amazing! Would definitely recommend little 5 for a great safari experience.

Amazing trip, highly recommend
5/5

Mwangi is an exceptional guide and a lovely person. The safari was 3 days and we saw so much, lions, cheetahs, even a leopard on two occasions as well as elephants, giraffes, hippos and hyenas, lots of impala, thomsons gazelle, topi and zebras and numerous birds. Mwangi's knowledge on the different animals was wonderful and I learned so much. He has an instinct to go to the right places at the right time, and has so many contacts with the other drivers that you get to tips on what's happening elsewhere. The pace was perfect, with early morning and later afternoon game drives, we saw sunrises and sunsets. The camp (Ilkeliani) was incredible such a relaxing place to stay and super friendly staff.
I'd love to return to do another safari and if I do I'll be contacting Native Africa Trails and Mwangi as i'll know it'd be another awesome experience. I highly recommend it.
