It's a smaller national park but plenty of wildlife to look at. The scenery is very beautiful too

It was our first stop and our first sightings of all the animals. Including major close ups!

Surprise gem from our safari. First hour or two there wasn't much to see - but once we got to the far reaches of the park which our guide had told us were worth driving the extra hours for, we were not disappointed. We saw a really close up leopard, loads of elephants, beautiful scenery, lions in the trees. It was wonderful. I didn't want to leave.

The place has small number of wildlife. Though I real enjoy walking safari of four hours with our guide and park ranger we walk at the middle of bushes we real experience nature. The place has plenty of elephants but we didn't see lion. Also our chef prepare lunch for us and we eat within the bushes after a long walk.

Tarangire is the place to go if you want to see LOTS of elephants. We also loved eating lunch at the overlook of the Tarangire river. Saw lots of animal mingling together at the water. It was something we didn't see anywhere else.

We saw an amazing range of wildlife in a relatively short amount of time. Having had only 1 day in the park on our first day of the trip, it was fantastic to imediately see so many elephant herds (coming right through the roads and next to the cars!!), zebras, giraffes, warthogs... even the dung beetles! Absolutely stunning landscape.
