Fantastic Elephant concentration and beautiful baobab trees. Definitely recommended before going to Ngorongoro or Serengeti

As a group of three people we visited Tarangire National Park with a professional guide. Before we were in Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater but Tarangire was the greatest experience. We didn't see as many other cars as in the two other parks (we visited in low season, maybe it's worse in high season) and only at lunch we've seen a lot of other visitors at a central place. The nature was beautiful and like you (or at least I) imagine it when you think of Africa plains. Although the dominant color was sand-brown, there're a lot of gigantic trees and the Tarangire river as the central line. We've seen a lot of elephants at close and in high season you should be able to see a lot more of the so-called "big five".

The vista from our lodge looked like a portrait, and we were right in the middle of it! Amazing!

Wonderful introduction to Tanzania

Pleasantly surprised by the amount of game we saw here, lots of elephants everywhere, beautiful scenery. Much quieter then the Serengeti which we appreciated.

The elephants, the baobab trees, rivers, lush landscapes, and a beautiful assortment of wildlife made this a perfect place to start our safari. It isn't as overwhelming as Serengeti or Ngorongoro, but it is an incredible park and well worth the trip.

My favorite park

Tarangire was my favorite park in Tanzania. We were surrounded by elephants, got close to monkeys and saw most of the big 5. The only thing we didn't see was the rhino, and that was seen at Ngorongoro, one of the only parks left where they exist due to poaching. The Tarangire Safari Lodge had the best view of the park. I will definitely go back someday.

Awesome!!!! I want to go back- this is what I pictured the safari to be like. We saw SO MANY animals, especially elephants. The elephants surrounded us and I will never forget it!

We saw the largest number of elephants and other animals here. It was the least crowded of all the parks. Hilly topography was very beautiful.

Great diversity of scenery from large open areas, rivers and swamps. Plenty of elephants and was where we saw our first lions relaxing in the trees and a large stunning leopard.
