This is a high-altitude exposure trip, uniquely leveraging the vehicle access of the Shira Route, which begins at the Londrossi Gate and then continues to the Shira Gate (3,500m / 11,483ft). The private vehicle transport bypasses the lower forest zone entirely, minimizing hiking distance while maximizing altitude exposure and unique scenery. The day is spent hiking on the vast, ancient caldera of the Shira Plateau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
