Mount Kilimanjaro is a dormant volcano in Tanzania, Africa's highest mountain, and the world's tallest free-standing mountain. It is a stratovolcano with three volcanic cones: Kibo (the highest), Mawenzi, and Shira. Located near the Kenya border, it is home to five climate zones and attracts many climbers, with the summit of Kibo being Uhuru Peak at 5,895 meters (19,341 feet).
