Botswana's zebra migration Africa's longest terrestrial mammal journey involves over 20,000 plains zebras moving south from the Chobe River floodplains to the nutrient-rich grasslands of Nxai Pan National Park (and sometimes extending to the Boteti River at Khumaga in Makgadikgadi Pans National Park). The grazing on lush emerald plains with newborn foals, while concentrations gather along the Boteti River at Khumaga for drinking creating spectacular scenes with elephants, predators (lions).
