The Marangu Route, often referred to as the “Coca-Cola” or “tourist” route, is the most straightforward and shortest way to reach the summit. It is unique for its hut accommodations at every campsite, equipped with solar lighting and relatively comfortable beds. Basic toilet facilities for both men and women are available at the final camp. Typically completed in five days, it can be extended to six for improved acclimatization, with an extra day spent resting at Horombo or exploring Mawenzi.
