Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park is widely considered the best primate experience in East Africa, offering a 95–99% success rate for sightings. Known as the "Primate Capital of the World," the park is home to over 1,500 chimpanzees and more than 12 species of other primates. The activity typically lasts 2 to 5 hours, depending on how quickly the habituated groups are located. Once found, you are permitted one hour to observe the chimpanzees as they feed, play, and socialize.
