Wenchi Crater Lake is a beautiful volcanic lake located about 150km (94mi) west of Addis Ababa in Ethiopia's Oromia region. Nestled within an extinct volcanic crater at an altitude of around 3,000m (9,800ft), it is surrounded by lush green hills and dense forests. The lake is dotted with small islands and features hot springs, waterfalls and scenic hiking trails.
