The wildebeest calving season takes place from late December to March in the short grass plains of the southern Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in Tanzania. During this period about 500,000 wildebeest calves are born. At the peak of the season up to 8,000 calves can be born in a single day. During your safari, you will have the chance to witness thousands of wildebeest calves being born, enjoy exciting predator action and excellent opportunities for wildlife photography.
