Surrounded by cultivated hills which forms part of Rwanda's scenery. Akagera National Park's scenery is quite beautiful. The landscape is low, composed of wide plains dominated by grass, cactus-like Euphorbia candelabra shrub, and thick and thin forests. The terrain is generally rugged.
