Arusha national park is located few kilometers north east of Arusha town. It covers Mt Meru which is the second highest peak in Tanzania with an area of 137 km sq. Despite it's small size it has a rich variety of wildlife such as flamingo, giraffe, elephant, zebra etc. It also has some geographical formation which resulted from volcanic eruptions many years ago leading to the formation of the great Momela lake and Ngurudoto Crater where you will have walking safari accompanied by an armed ranger.
