Mikumi National Park, located in the Serengeti sub-region and Tanzania's fourth largest national park, is easily accessible from Zanzibar. It covers 3,235 km² and stretches between the Uluguru Mountains in the north and the Lumango Mountains in the southeast. Mikumi is home to abundant wildlife, including lions, giraffes, elephants, leopards, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, various species of impala, hippos, crocodiles, and birds.
