Mikumi National Park, the fourth largest national park in Tanzania, is easily accessible from Zanzibar. It covers 3,235 km² and lies between the Uluguru Mountains to the north and the Lumango Mountains to the southeast. Mikumi is home to abundant wildlife, including lions, giraffes, elephants, leopards, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, various species of impala, hippos, crocodiles, and birds.
