The Marangu Route, known as the “Coca-Cola” route, is Kilimanjaro’s most established path. It’s the only one with dorm-style huts—no camping needed. Basic amenities are provided, including mattresses and dining halls, but bring your own sleeping bag. With a steady slope and direct trail, it’s seen as the easiest route, though quick elevation gain makes acclimatization tough. It’s popular but less scenic, as both ascent and descent follow the same trail.
