This day hike is designed for those who do not wish to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro up to the top and yet want to experience the magic of the Mountain for a day hike from Marangu Gate (1,800m/5,905ft) to the first hut Mandara Hut(2,743m/9,000ft). This hike to the first hut will allow you to get a feel of the mountain for one day. Children are also allowed to do the Kilimanjaro day hike, the world's highest freestanding Mountai, without taking them all the way to the top.
