
Kaniyo Pabidi, the center for chimp trekking in Budongo Forest, is usually visited en route to or from Murchison Falls National Park. It lies right alongside the main surfaced road that connects the capital Kampala to Paraa (the park headquarters) via the small town of Masindi. Allow around 1 hour* to drive to Kaniyo Pabidi from the cluster of lodges and camps close to Paraa, or 45 minutes* from Masindi.
Kaniyo Pabidi is about 240km/150mi north of Kampala and a further 40km/25mi from Entebbe. The drive from Kampala takes at least 5 hours* and you’ll need to add another hour* if you’re coming from Entebbe. Coming from the southwest, the 280km/175mi drive from the town of Fort Portal takes at least 6 hours*.
Entebbe International Airport (EBB) will be your entry point into Uganda. It is located 46km/29mi from Kampala. It is customary that your local tour operator will pick you up from the airport or hotel.

Domestic Flights
It is customary for domestic flights (charter or regular) to be arranged by your tour operator as part of your safari package. It is possible to fly to Pakuba Airfield in nearby Murchison Falls NP by scheduled or chartered aircraft from Entebbe International Airport (EBB) or Kajjansi Airfield near Kampala. The following carriers run scheduled flights:

- Eagle Air (Flight available on request twice a week)
